It took 2 full months for my repair to be completed. Way too long, IMO. Delay after delay. Excuse after excuse. Finger-pointing and blame-shifting every which way. They sent my vehicle to a frame shop that screwed things up even worse. No apology from anyone. Because it took so long my rental benefit ran out and I had to pay for the extra time. They did repairs that insurance denied, so I had to pay for them, too. They couldn't care less about the customer. Stay away from A&W. read more

My car was hit and left behind while it was parked on the street. A&W was one of the recommended shops by my insurance company, they did an outstanding job! In the initial conversation, they walked me through what to expect, and about how long the repair would take. I also had an old windshield that had pitting since buying it used at the dealership. I asked if they knew anyone and if that could be done while it was there, too. They did and it was! (And it was half the price I was quoted everywhere else.) While my car was with them, they called occasionally to give me an update and when the car was ready, picking it up was a breeze. I was able to leave my rental car with them and take my car. Best service and timely repair compared to any body shop I've dealt with in the past. Jonathan is incredibly helpful and offers a high level of customer service. Going above and beyond. Will never recommend this place they broke my car even more than what it was when we dropped it off and never fixed it

Expect delay after delay, changing stories, no real commitment, and lots of useless apologies. We specifically chose A&W Auto Repair, an approved repair shop through our insurance company, because they said they could get our truck in right away. We dropped our truck off on June 10th. On June 12th they again said their schedule was looking good and they could have our truck to us by June 21st. They never initiated any communication with us regarding updates; we always called them. During one call to them we were told all the parts were in and we were on schedule. Then, just prior to the 21st, during one of our calls to them, we were told the truck would not be ready until June 26th. We called again on June 25th and were told they were waiting on a part - after telling us the parts were in last week - and our truck would not be ready till June 28th. They said one of the parts previously sent to them was damaged. Then they also said parts were impacted by the cyberattack. During another call to them on June 28th at 2:00 - less than three hours before we were going to pick up the truck - we were told the truck would not be ready 'maybe' until Monday because it was still curing. Again, they never communicated with us. Every single time we call them, they say they are sorry then do the same thing, which is - never give a solid date that the truck will be ready, change their reasons that the truck is delayed, and say they will get back to us and then don't. Take your vehicle somewhere else. read more

About 10 years ago I used A & W for body work and I remember being really impressed when I picked up the car and they had detailed the interior as part of their service. That sweet perk made it a hellofa lot more bearable to pay the bill for my careless mishap. So recently when a truck slid into my car on the ice, I knew who to call for body work. They did a good job fixing my bumper & rear light although they installed a new light that is the wrong fit for my key to be able to let me key into the trunk. And they broke the dongle that their diagnostic system plugs into so now I'm gonna have problems if my car needs a diagnostic run again. read more

My Forester looks absolutely beautiful!! Not just the repairs, but the delivery of the vehicle when I picked it up. I'm a little on the OCD side, and I was blown away to raise the hood and find the engine cleaned!! There is absolutely no quality control at A&W. I had to get my car repaired from the repairs done at A&W. My claim was from 12/31/2021. I dropped off my vehicle at A&W on 1/21/2022. I was informed by Jonathan that my parts were ordered and that it would take about a month to receive them. I called to follow-up a month later and was informed that a part had not been delivered and that they only just realized - because I called to follow-up. Jonathan admitted fault to this and said an employee had quit while working on my vehicle. Again, there was no quality control on what was done or what needed to be done. 2 months later, I picked up my vehicle on 3/19/2022. I immediately noticed that my 2021 Lexus NX was not performing the same. My car had 9000 miles on it and sounded like it had gone through a blender and was driving terribly. I looked under my vehicle to see what the noise (two metal plates rubbing against each other) was, to then notice that my skid plate was completely missing. My horn was also not reconnected, which I only discovered while in traffic. On top of it all, there were black grease stains all along the top of the driver's side (tan interior), scratches along the driver's side of the center console, and a dent on the bottom of the silver lining of the steering wheel. I have since brought it to a certified Lexus collision repair shop (which I should have done from the beginning) and not to my surprise, I was informed that parts of my vehicle were being held together by glue and that certain parts were not even properly installed. A&W is a body shop I found through Geico's Auto Repair Xpress program. Do your research and find a shop with quality control. You'll save yourself from a lot of unnecessary stress and from having your vehicle repaired again. My vehicle was finally returned to me on 6/10/2022 via Lexus. read more

I was side swiped and had to go through the super fun process of getting my car repaired. I was dreading it because these things can be stressful but the staff at A&W Auto Body made it as easy as could be. Dropped her off, enterprise dropped off my rental at the body shop, and they even went out of their way to drop my car off at my work and return my rental car for me when I couldn't pick it up the day it was ready. I think this was a real chicken-shit move to report such a minor repair just to receive the commission CarFax pays...like what I paid them wasn't enough. I had the unfortunate event of getting side swiped back in February of this year by an uninsured motorist driving a stolen vehicle (also with no insurance). Long story short, I had to go through my insurance to get repairs done to my new car. My insurance rep gave me a list of places in the area that were in-network whom I could choose to take it to. If you don't know me, you should know I spend a lot of time researching (more like obsessing) big decisions like this. Over the next couple days (while my car sat in my garage inoperable and while the insurance company was figuring out what was needed before repairs could be finalized) I spent all of my time with Google to find the best auto body shop in town. I finally decided on A & W due to the fact that I couldn't find any bad reviews (mistake #1) and the fact that is was fairly close to my work and home (mistake #2). After the gavel was swung and I made my decision, I called A & W to figure out how to get my vehicle there. They set up a tow to their shop, since I didn't want to risk any further damage from occurring. My vehicle was in their shop for a good part of a week while the right parts were ordered - for reference, I was hit on the front driver's side fender and front bumper - and needed a new light, bumper, and fender. I had to call the shop to inquire about the status of my vehicle several times as it was taking a little longer than the estimation I had initially received. Finally, on a last stitch effort, I was told my vehicle would be ready at the end of that business day, which happened to be on a Friday of that week. Knowing that the shop was closing at around 5 o'clock that day, I scrambled to get out of work early to make it in time to pick up my ride. I made it literally right as they were closing to be handed the keys to my vehicle (which was parked out front) and told to have a good night, as they locked up the doors immediately behind them. It was getting dark and I was so ecstatic to have my vehicle back that I did a quick look through and drove home. I arrived in my fully lit garage to discover the horror of a poorly aligned bumper with a good half inch gap between where the front head light and hood line up. I know my vehicle inside and out, as I regularly detail it myself, and instantly know how a light should line up. Good news is that it did work and I was able to make it home safely. Bad news is was instantly recognizable by my standards of no longer being the pristine conditioned vehicle I once knew. I had been planning on trading off the vehicle literally before the accident and planned on trading it off after the repair. I ended up trading it off the next week, with a substantial loss with the poorly fixed damaged front end (that the dealership instantly recognized without having to point it out). Maybe it was the fact that I had a foreign vehicle and they are harder to fix, but in all regards with my experience, I wouldn't bring anything back to them. read more

My experience with these guys has been very different than the other reviewer. I've had work done here on my car on a couple of occasions. Most recently, I got rear-ended and towed the car here. My car is old and the insurance agent wrote me a check for the value of the car rather than for the amount it would cost to repair the car. I didn't want to replace the car (which is an extremely reliable, low-mileage Toyota Corolla), so I had them repair it any way. They were able to work with me and get the car back into shape. When my car was out of action, they were able to lend me a loaner. When I've had other minor issues with my car, I've been able to bring it in here and they have helped me without charge. I would recommend this body shop. read more

First of all they are open M-F 7:30-5:15. Yelp has it listed wrong. The AAA truck dropped of my wife's smashed Acura MDX. I looked at the outside when I arrived to empty out the MDX and say goodbye. I thought "what is our precious car doing at this fly by night looking repair shop?" YOU CAN'T JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER The Acura was repaired and detailed inside and out. It looked showroom new. Even the sippy cup red punch stain was gone from the carpet. REALLY? Are you serious? OK where is the hidden camera crew. This is not the same MDX. Well not only was it the same MDX, but every detail from car rental to pick up was seamless, painless and very professional. Since then we have used them for all our car repair work. Here is another example of their customer care: I brought my Audi Q7 in to have them remove a bunch of deep scratches of unknown origin. Eric, the owner, grabbed a cloth and some polishing compound and rubbed it for five minutes. BOOM !!! All scratches gone. No charge. Let me say it again. No Charge. I am currently writing this from their parking lot. My wife's Lexus RX400h needs a new mirror and new lift gate pneumatic struts. I predict another very happy ending. read more

So my car sat uncovered at off-airport parking during a catastrophic hail storm. All in all, I was pretty lucky. No glass was damaged, except both side mirrors, but every piece of window trim, the hood, the roof, the hatch and every door had noticeable hail dents when I returned home from my trip. The insurance company gave us a check for almost $10,000 for the repairs. Since the car was driveable, and because all the body shops would be so busy fixing hail damage from the disastrous storm, we scheduled an appointment three months away figuring the repairs would take less time when the initial rush was over. The week before our appointment, A & W called us to push it out another week. I was already nervous enough about the extent of the repair work and delaying it further didn't help ease my mind. But, with no other choice, we dropped the car off as rescheduled. A & W never gave us an exact estimate of the time it would take for the car to be completely repaired. They said they wouldn't even guess until they got it in the shop and took it apart to see what all they were dealing with. We just had to keep checking with them every week to see how things were progressing. Here's the extent of the repairs: - Paintless dent removal in all the doors - Body work to the places on the frame where they couldn't do paintless dent removal - Replaced the roof (yes, they took it off and put on a new one, with sunroof) - Replaced the windshield that busted when they removed the roof (we were warned this might happen) - Replaced the hood - Replaced both side mirrors - Replaced all the trim around the windows How long would you expect this to take? I was thinking that three weeks or so would be reasonable. It actually took almost six weeks. The day before we were supposed to pick up the car, A & W called to say that we weren't getting it back the next day because the paint didn't look good and they wanted to make it right. As much as I was ready to get my car back, I suddenly thought that maybe they shouldn't rush things and take all the time they needed to make everything pretty again. They even offered to pay for another rental car since I had already turned mine in about an hour before. I felt a mix of emotions when I finally saw my car: relieved that it didn't look like a welded together jalopy; shocked at how good it does look - almost like a brand new car; and so happy to have my ride back. In full disclosure, my husband did all of the communicating with A & W so I didn't have any dealings with the owner(s) or staff there. Mr. P. reports that everyone was very friendly and helpful but that communication between the staff members seems to be lacking (e.g., the car will be ready tomorrow - no, wait - it'll beTuesday). All in all, we had as good of an experience as I could have hoped for with such extensive repairs. We would not hesitate to use A & W again should the need arise. read more

Called to make an appointment for a collision estimate on my car. The man who answered the phone was extremely short and irritated. He asked what insurance I planned on using to which I replied that the woman who hit me would be paying out of pocket. His immediate response was. "Well, we can't get you in for an estimate for over a month." Of course I said no thanks and hung up. Obviously, they only want to work with you if they can charge the insurance. So, some DB hit my car in my apartment complex parking lot, and of course, did not leave a note. I submitted a claim with my insurance company, and A & W was not only in their 'circle of trust', but it was close to my house. After reviewing other auto body companies in the 'circle of trust', I decided to go with A & W. I will admit the whole process took longer than I had anticipated. The call center for my insurance company made it sound like I could just show up, unannounced, and get taken care of right away. Not so fast. I called first to verify this with A & W, and it sounded like this sort of thing happens all the time. So, I set up an appointment to get an estimate for as soon as possible, which was 1 month later. I go in a month later to get my estimate. I was greeted warmly and they were ready for me. 10 minutes later, I was out the door with an appointment for repairs for another month later. To me, if it takes that long to get in, they must be doing something right. Clearly there's a demand for their services, clearly they're a smaller operation than say an Abra, and clearly they do quality work. So, now, a month later, I take in my vehicle. Again, I was greeted warmly, and they were ready for me. They had already called ahead to the rental car company, and the only wait I encountered was for the rental car company to show up. One week later, I was called and told my car was ready. They were able to accommodate my small window of time to pick up my vehicle during my lunch break. Again, I was greeted warmly and they were ready for me. Paperwork was printed and ready to go. The whole interaction took less than 5 minutes. My car was pulled around and, much to my surprise and delight, my car was absolutely perfect. Not only was the damage 'magically' gone, my car was detailed inside and out. The tires were even shining!!! I don't think my car has looked this good since the day I bought it. A & W, thank you for your quality work. As a woman, I am always hesitant to go into auto body shops for fear of being treated poorly and suckered out of money. You have made what could have been a terrible experience fantastic! read more

We have used A&W for body and paint repair to a 2013 Audi S7, 2016 Porsche Cayenne GTS, and modified 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee. In every outcome A&W did great quality work, at reasonable cost, and in less than a week turnaround. They were able to complete and match paint correctly without the need to overspray and repaint adjacent body panels, which is hard to do with modern metallic paints. On our Jeep they took a salvaged and damaged SRT8 hood and completed exceptional metal repairs and repainted the hood to match the OEM body perfectly. Ask for Eric. Highly recommend A&W. read more

I am about a year late writing my review but I felt it was still necessary to do so. While at work a truck backed into my 2006 sti and took off the driver front side of the car. My father recommended I go to A&W. I contacted them gave them the insurance info, towed my car to them and in less than a week I had my car back. They even washed it! A year later and after multiple car washes, highway driving and natural elements my front end still looks incredible. I will always recommended people to this body shop. It is very weird when you are sitting with friends and both of us are randomly commenting on an auto body shop. My friend took her father's car in for a collision repair and I mentioned A&W. She not only knew A&W but mentioned it is the only repair shop she would ever go to and they were working on her father's car last week. We both simultaneously mentioned how friendly and professional they were. I went in for an estimate for my car and asked about a loaner car. The shop said that it would be two weeks before a loaner would be available, which was fine since my car was driveable and I was on vacation for most of that time. Two weeks later, I called to see if I could schedule my repairs. The shop told me that it would be another two weeks since they underestimated how long the other car would take. Well, it's been 9 weeks and I have not heard back from the shop. I scheduled my repairs with Ramsey Auto Body as they also have loaner cars and they got me in right away. I don't know how well they repair cars, since they never got around to mine, but they suck at customer service. read more

Amazing work! My car looks great and they even washed my car. However, upon picking up my car and opening my trunk the next day I found my $426 snowboarding boots, snowboard gloves and football shoes stolen from my trunk. After notifying them of the problem they apologized and cut me a check for the items. Upon review of the cameras they noticed someone had been popping trunks on the lot and grabbing what they could. They have put measures in place to make sure this doesn't happen again. Although this situation upsets me, A&W has went above and beyond to make things right. A repair that other shops were estimating $600+ to fix ....was quickly fixed at no charge by the guys at A&W! Someone backed into my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited and popped the left side of the rear bumper out. I was referred to A&W Auto Body by my mechanic, Steve who owns Auto Service House (best mechanic in town by far!) so I stopped by to get an estimate to fix. I forget if it was Chris or Scott but one of them came outside to look at the damage and without even discussion, got on his knees and quickly popped the bumper back into place and confirmed that nothing else needed to be done! While it looked like it was a simple fix, the other shops were giving me $600+ estimates to fix but the team at A&W Auto Body couldn't have been more honest and happy to pop it back in and send me on my way at no charge! So, make sure to stop by A&W for your auto body needs - while I can't guarantee that your fix will be like mine, I can guarantee you are getting an honest and reliable estimate. This shop is one of the best in Denver Metro! I have used them on a couple occasions and I deal with body shops as part of my profession daily. I am in insurance auto claims management. I recently had a repair completed and am completely satisfied. The owner takes personal pride in helping customers. I was surprised to see the negative reviews; but, it's like anything else.... most people are not going to "rave" about their body shop experience online. However, most will vent if something goes wrong or is perceived to go wrong. I will always use A&W Auto Body, I'm sure some of these people may have a legit complaint. I guarantee there isn't a perfect body shop in America. Unfortunately, things don't always turn out perfect... my question is, when they don't what is the business going to do for you? A&W is honest and will do what is needed to work with you. I can honestly say they go above and beyond most shops, especially in Denver Metro. There are only a few shops I'd recommend to my friends and family, most of them call me when they need help since I work in the industry. A&W is always one of the shops I mention to them.
