If a blueberry pie was a person, it would be Mike Martindale. This guy was my tech for an unfortunate hit-and-run situation involving my Mazda. He took the time to actually talk to me and give realistic expectations for how long it would take to fix my car. Every time there was some kind of update, he personally texted me to make sure I knew where things stood. When I picked up my car, he was super sweet and I let him pet my dog. (He was genuinely happy to pet that dog). I highly recommend this spot if you have your pick-of-the-litter as far as Caliber goes. Beware of this road (E Evans is truly a nightmare), but go to this shop and ask for Mike if you can. Genuine kindness is a bit thin in Denver, but Mike has it in spades. read more

I went to Caliber Collision in late March to see if they could help with with a door that would not unlock. Service Advisor Corey Sikula graciously came and checked the door that was locked shut. He told me that there were no available Techs and asked if I would call him later in the week. I received an appointment for the following week. I took the vehicle in on Wednesday and the technician was able to repair the door in less than 1 hour. I never write reviews. But this is a MUST! I went to Caliber and spoke with Pat who schedules appts and looks like lots more stuff. I explained to her that I was going to pick up someone at a condo with a secured gate. The president of the HOA was fixing the gate and arm. As he was escorting me through the gate the arm lever came down on my car. I am of older age and was very upset. He told me to go get an estimate. So, I stopped at the first auto repair place I saw and I know the Caliber name. Pat set an appointment for me and I came in the next day. Rich Rugier the general manager came out to look at me car. He asked me to wait and he came back with a cloth and fixed what the Arm damage to my car. No charge. This by far was the worst place to work with on from a wreck I had 2 months ago. They said my car would be ready within 2-3 weeks, ended up going on almost 5 weeks. They kept my and my insurance in the dark and kept changing the price around multiple times. Whenever Corey or Michael said they would give a call back, never did. Put a case in with headquarters and Shannon dewy the regional manager never gave us a call back either. These guys are crooks. When I took my car in the young lady, can't remember her name...who checked me in and reviewed the damage...she was so kind and thorough..she listened and assured me that she would get it all taken care of and ..Oh My! My car looks brand new. They repaired my car and washed it..they didn't just wash it, they buffed out paint from my back number that looked like it should be replaced...wasn't part of my damage, but they did what they do and my bumper looks perfect. They also cleaned the interior .I'm talking cleaned! It looks like it was professionally detailed. When I went to pick up my car, I had a rental...they took the rental back for me. I've had a bad run of luck with cars lately. After a car ran a red light and totaled my car in Sept, I had to buy another car. Caliber totaled out the car for my insurance company and handled that paperwork. Then my brand new, 2 week old, special ordered new car was parked downtown and got hit by a Budweiser delivery truck and damaged the front end (they backed into it). I took it to Caliber and they worked with the truck's insurance company to get the repairs done. They were communicative and kept me up to date on everything that was happening (like when parts were back ordered in the supply chain). I just got my new car back and its like new-new again. I might have to bubble wrap it going forward but Caliber was terrific. I'm glad I went back to them. read more

I took my car to Caliber to have minor rear end repairs completed. They did a very good job repairing the vehicle, but they cracked my front windshield in the process. When I picked up the vehicle, Caliber stated that even though the intake photos showed there was no damage to the windshield the crack was not their fault. I reported this to my insurance company and when my insurance company contacted them, Caliber was quite dishonest stating there was already damage (chips) to the windshield when it was processed. Not true. Be very careful and take pictures yourself before turning your vehicle over to them. read more

A week later I picked up my car and it appears that they've done an excellent job with the repair. I had completely satisfying experience with Caliber Collision. In early December I was rear-ended and my Rogue needed the bumper replaced. My car insurance company made arrangements with Caliber Collision to do the repairs. I initially went to the wrong Caliber location which was located a few blocks east on the same street and was politely directed to the correct location. The damage was inspected by a service representative who prepared a detailed estimate of the required work and parts and we set up a repair appointment for after the holidays. I dropped off my car on Monday morning of the arranged service date and was given an estimate that it would be ready that Friday. I was surprised to receive a call the afternoon of the next day indicating that the work was complete and my car was ready for pick up! I was very surprised and pleased that the work had been completed so soon and it looked great. Caliber even washed my car before I arrived. Everyone I interacted with at Caliber Collision was very pleasant and helpful. My representative, Mike Martindale, was particularly helpful and explained everything about the process and kept me informed while the repair was in progress. I hope I don't have the need to, but I would use Caliber Collision again if I have another accident. read more

The collision business can't be easy especially when it comes to procuring the right parts and doing things the right way within a time frame any car owner would be happy to hear. I took my car into Caliber for some body work after being rear-ended by a 16yo with no insurance - yeah, still ticked about that. Caliber did a great job fixing my car, it looks like nothing happened and they were timely. But I expect that from a body shop. So my review is really more about the people. I had to rent a car while mine was being fixed which was coordinated through Caliber and my insurance company. I stupidly left something of value in the trunk of the rental when I returned the car. When I contacted the rental company they said they contacted the current renter of the car and my item was not in car. I called several times asking about who had contact with the car etc. I was basically told sorry the item was gone and that was that. I then got a hold of Lamont at Caliber. He was on my side 100% and was really concerned that a) my item was missing and b) that people weren't working like dogs to find it. He would not accept that it was just gone. Fast forward a day and my missing item was found. I'm not sure what went down, but I'm sure it was found due to Lamont's diligence. So moral of the story - check your trunk before you return a rental car. If you forget however, hope that you have someone like Lamont from Caliber on your side. I hope not to have to have body work done in the future, but if I do, I will go to Caliber because they did a great job, but more importantly because they have great people working there. I needed a body shop, after a mishap with a parking garage entrance and my car. The parking garage gate won, darn! I called my insurance company, and they suggested three different boy shops. Of course, I did my research on Yelp! the BBB, and other research on the internet. I decided to go with Caliber Collision on E. Evan Ave, in Denver. I'm glad I did. The damage to my car was cosmetic, so I could have just let it go, but I didn't want to. This was my first accident, my car was only 3 years old with only 12,000 miles on it. Of course, I had to have it taken care of. I took my car to Caliber Collision, and got an estimate on it. The damage was $3,000, and my portion was less, due to my insurance coverage. Thank goodness for insurance! Anyway, I asked when I could get it in, and was given the date of the following Tuesday. Great! I was also told the repairs would take three to four weeks! Yes, weeks! Yikes!!! I wanted it done, so there was nothing I could do about it. I was at their mercy. I took my car in, and picked up a rental car. I left my car in their capable hands, and proceeded on with my day. Caliber Collision kept me informed every step of the way. There were absolutely no surprises. AND, my car was ready in eight days! Yes, the repairs only took two weeks! I was thrilled, absolutely thrilled to get my car (a Subaru Legacy) back! The work was done perfectly, and the paint job matched too! UPDATE: Jake from Caliber called to apologize and offered to reimburse me the cost difference. While I did not accept the reimbursement, I accepted his apology and will reconsider using this business because of the excellent work done. I hope that he will use this incident as a teaching moment to his office staff in communication as well as correct insurance procedure. To be fair, the work done was excellent. Their business practices are abysmal. I took my Farmer's estimate in with my car, fully expecting the repairs to cost more. After a week, I received a "closed" claim statement from Farmers, stating that the cost would be $945.68. As my deductible is $1000, I was prepared to pay $945.68. I called Caliber to find out if my work was completed and was told that the part would be arriving the next day so it would be two or three days. Two days later, Caliber called to say that "Oops, we replaced the BACK bumper instead of the FRONT bumper because there was a similar car in the yard." OK, so it would be another day or so. Today, two weeks after the original drop off, I called. Yep, my car was ready. When I arrived, the new bill was $1073.78. Price went up why? Oh, the bumper was more expensive than we expected. hmmm Why did I receive a "closed" claim notice for a lesser price? Because it cost more. The clerk actually told me that it didn't matter what the final bill was, I was responsible for $1000 because that's my deductible - even if the bill is only $5, I 'd still have to pay $1000. She said, "I work with insurance day in and day out. You don't know anything about insurance. That is how it works." At that point, I realized that no amount of arguing would convince her because she's clearly the expert and I'm the idiot. So I paid the $1000 and left with my car. Don't go here. It's not worth the headache. They can't tell one car from another - my final bill still has the wrong License Plate number on it. And they have no idea how insurance works. I don't trust them and neither should you! I feel cheated and a little dumber from having dealt with them. read more

The whole process was extremely thorough and the customer service was great, they communicated with me and my dad throughout the process and it took less time than expected. She even took the time to fill my car with wind shield wiper fluid (which I had been avoiding, bless her) and make sure I wore my seatbelt when I came to pick up my car. From the moment I walked in to get an estimate, I knew this place was a winner. Friendly, attentive, caring! What a treat to see the variety of cars being 'fixed' through the shop window. Sure, I had to make an appointment for the evaluation/estimate, and then schedule the actual service 2 weeks later. Once my car was in for repair, I received routine (daily) updates of the progress. Who does that anymore? Lisa was amazing to work with, as well as all the front desk professionals. There's a happy vibe at this place, and I was glad to see so many other Subarus being done (of course.. this is Colorado). Caliber also coordinated the Enterprise Rent-a-Car for me. Enterprise picked me up at the shop, and arranged for pickup of their car once my car was ready. It doesn't get any easier than this. I did visit two other nearby autobody shops before choosing Caliber, and didn't feel the love in any of the others. Maybe they were too busy, or having a shitty day? I haven't experienced any crappy attitudes from this Caliber shop, during any of my visits. I don't 'plan' to need body work for a long time, though wouldn't think twice about using them again. Was extremely happy with their work, communications, they handled everything with the other drivers insurance, and their overall customer care is top notch.
