I took my car with a radiator problem into Alex Auto Repair on a Monday morning and the repairs were done that afternoon and they had to replace the radiator. The bill was less than I feared it would be and the service and communication was impeccable. I'd HIGHLY recommend this shop if you need auto repairs in Denver. Tell 'em Mike Norton sent ya.

They quoted us for a transmission replacement, which was high. We took the car to get a second opinion and found out there was a lot more going on. They were going to charge us to replace transmission without mentioning the other extensive issues going on, which ended up totaling the car. If we had used Alexs for transmission work, the car would have broken down soon after. Dont trust these guys!

They always answer the phone, know what's going on, give accurate details and estimates, help you do the leg work for the repair with insurance and rentals. Hopefully I won't need to, but it's nice to know there's an auto body repair shop that really caters to their customers so well considering it's usually less-than-ideal circumstances.

They sent my vehicle to a frame shop that screwed things up even worse. No apology from anyone. Because it took so long my rental benefit ran out and I had to pay for the extra time. They did repairs that insurance denied, so I had to pay for them, too. They couldn't care less about the customer. Stay away from A&W.

**Be very careful letting these people work on your car** I…read morehad this company work on my 92 Eagle talon. The 1st time I got my car back (I had it towed back to me, because I live in Colorado Springs) The car broke down within 20 min (They didn't put any coolant in the car) Had it towed back and they said it was the starter. Then I had it towed back to me and the car immediately broke down (Again) and the engine made a grinding noise. Come to find out, they improperly installed the timing belt when they replace my head gasket and my timing belt snapped and wrecked my engine. (See below) I'm starting the process of suing them. Diagnostic from the shop " Vehicle came in with crank no start condition and making loud noises/ locking up when cranking - During teardown diagnostics, the Tech found no compression in any cylinder, and the ends of the spark plugs have damage to them. We also found multiple missing bolts on the timing cover and when the cover was removed we found the Timing Belt Tensioner assembly installed with improper mounting hardware and missing the large retaining washer that holds the timing tensioner arm in place to the engine block - The failure from what we can see was caused by Tensioner arm slowly backing off while running and eventually lost timing belt tension causing an internal collision of the valves and pistons due to the nature of the engine being what is called an interference design and damaging the cylinder head by causing the valves to hit the pistons in multiple/all cylinders - There is also damage to the pistons in the block so we advise a complete engine replacement or complete overhaul.

He was extremely polite, provided excellent communication each step of the way, and most importantly- the service team fixed my car! After two failed visits to another dealer, I walked in here a skeptic. Gave Tom my back story of oil leaking repeatedly all over the engine of my Golf with a mere 17k miles. Turns out I had not one but two leaky gaskets- the second wasn't found initially, but the team located it after repairing the first and were able to order a replacement part before returning the car to me. Great persistence to actually fix the problem! I wish I knew the name of the techs who worked on my car so that I could thank them directly. This will definitely be my go to place. Thank you Tom and team! Special thanks also to Mac for shuttling me from the dealer to work and then back again so I could pick up a rental car (provided by Tom while they worked on my car- thanks for that too!).

The paint looks completely off compared to the rest of the car, and honestly it looked better before I ever brought it in. When I pointed it out, they flat-out refused to fix their mistake. To make it even worse, they left overspray all over my grill, headlights, fog lights, and even all over the black trim on my bumper. This is sloppy, careless work that no professional shop should ever let leave their building. The customer service was just as bad as the repair. Meli at the front desk--an older woman--was hands down the rudest person I've ever had to deal with. Not only was she rude, but she was literally making faces while talking to me. Completely unprofessional. And the general manager didn't even bother to step in and explain that this is a business and that behavior toward a customer is unacceptable. Speaking of management, Stephanie (the general manager) clearly doesn't know anything about paint and was just as rude. Instead of taking responsibility, she doubled down and refused to fix the terrible paint match. No worries though--I'll be taking my car to another shop to have it done correctly. I'll be uploading photos to show what a proper paint match on a "plastic bumper" is actually supposed to look like, along with all the overspray they left behind. This place is a joke. If you care at all about your vehicle, stay far away.
