This was my first time and the burgers were a good old fashioned hamburger. The lady with purple braids needs a lesson in customer service. When ordering ice cream she wasn't listening to our order, gave my husband his ice cream, slammed the glass door shut, then answered the phone to take a phone order. She didn't even finish getting our order...the customers that were in front of her. Someone else saw and she ended up finishing up our order and ringing us up so we could continue on with our journey. read more

A+ for cleanliness. Got the #1 TX burger combo with plain fries. Great patty with crispy edges, thinly sliced purple onion, lettuce, tomato and dill pickles. The fries were great. I saw the 10+ tubs of Blue Belle ice cream but I had no room for dessert. The ice cream was a big hit at 6pm in the drive-thru. I've come here a lot and she makes me not want to come. She gives poor customer service and be looking at you like you dumb and can hear she talk bad about customers loudly. I cannot say enough, how dissapointed I was in this business. My wife and I were headed back from Galveston and seen the signs for TX Burger, told her I have never had it lets have it over whataburger this time (will not make this mistake again, Whataburger has never screwed up my order so bad and the service was basically non-existent. We walk in, on the floor in several places was french fries and other food, including a half eaten hamburger, the lady "cleaning" only cleared the table, which was half A$$ at best. I thought, we probably should leave, but no I did not, that is on me, we walk up there are several staffers behind counter, not 1 even asked if we needed help, so they have 2 kiosk, nothing says anything, no one says anything, so we proceed to do their job, mind you I did not get a paycheck for placing my order nor getting my own drink. We place the order on the kiosk, which was a nightmare, but we got it done, Ordered a hamburger combo and an extra hamburger, that was it, figured they could handle that, I was wrong! We waited about 10 minutes after ordering, no biggie, but they were not busy, now I know why. We received a bag, which she looked to be sure was a burger, then a styrofoam container, which we felt had the burger combo, got in truck and started down highway, to find out the styrofoam had only a meat pattie with a cheese slice, a piece of lettuce and single tomato, that was it! Why the hell would you do that, there was no option for no bun that I seen, I put regular bun, which was a joke to have to add that, but this is what I received, Paid almost $12 for that alone, this place is a joke and needs to be shut down just for nasty conditions. I WILL NEVER BE BACK TO A TX BURGER AND I SUGGEST YOU STEER CLEAR, at least this one. We had to ask for our drink cup as well since she did not bring to us to start with or the other guy, I could understand if they were busy, but they were not, they are lazy and do not care about customers, stay away! Stopped here with my girlfriend on a worktrip to Dallas for a quick bite. Fast service, clean restaurant. Tasted like a better version of a whataburger, i can see how they are successful. The burger was a 6.5/10 In my Opinion. Its nothing too special or terrific. Pretty solid burger joint. We've made a few stops here in the past on our way to or from Dallas to Houston. Food is always hot, fresh and made in a timely manner. Really no complaints. I was very surprised at the steak fingers they were really good.. first time getting them. They also serve blue bell ice cream in your choice of a hand dipped cone or a hand spun malt or shake. Mediocre and not as good as Dairy Queen. But the menu is very similar. Pattymelt was made with American cheese.

We ordered the double cheese burgers with grilled onions and bacon. The burgers were very tasty. Would love to see something other than just American cheese as an option. The bacon was NOT tissue paper thin bacon that you get at most other fast food places. It was more like the bacon you make at home, with good flavor. The bun detracted from the burger. It was not substandard but a better bun would enhance the burger. Seasoned fries were good. The staff were nice, respectful and helpful. Restaurant was clean. We stopped here as a good halfway stop for dinner on the way from Dallas to Houston, since it's literally about halfway through. We were looking for a solid burger, preferably one that's better than typical fast food joints, and I think I was more disappointed than I expected. The place was super spacious inside with plenty of tables. Bathrooms clean. Definitely convenient place to stop for a stretch break. They were quick and nice about obtaining our orders and got all of them correct. We ordered three #1 combo's, two of them with sweet potato fries (at no extra cost) and one of them with regular fries. The #1 combo has a 1/3 lb burger, which is not even the smallest one they offer (1/4 lb), but I was shocked by how thin and dry the patty was. In addition, the vegetables were so dry and did not seem fresh in the slightest. The sweet potato fries were not seasoned at all, and we had to add our own salt and pepper, which could be a pro depending on how you prefer. We didn't get any ice cream because it was cold, but they did serve Blue Bell's and we saw many others in the restaurant getting a fat cone - which looked delicious. It's Blue Bells! Overall, I remember thinking the burger tasted a lot like Whataburger. Similar in quality too, but more expensive. They've also raised their prices a lot from previously posted photos. I guess the fact that they have sweet potato fries gives them a one up compared to Whataburger. But overall, I think personally I would choose to go to a typical fast food chain next time. read more

Food is always good but our service was poor. The young lady through the drive thru was outside, sitting on top of the table, hanging with friends and told me to hold on. I was waiting a couple minutes before she finished her conversation, ran back inside to finally take my order. Customer service was horrible at this location specially from the day manager Aubrey. She had a nasty demeanor, never introduce herself nor said thank you. Not sure why she is the manager if she looks like she hates the job. Another customer that was sitting right next to us complained about her as well. My initial request was for a spicy burger with lettuce and tomatoes and the burger didn't come with it, went inside and requested the lettuce and tomatoes and she made a nasty remark of how it didn't come with it. At the end she agreed to give it to me, 10 minutes went by and lettuce and tomatoes never came by. So I went inside to ask for my request and she said I was supposed to bring the burger so they could add it. She never made an effort to complete my request. If you are the general manager of this location please choose individuals that will make this location better not worse. This location was a little empty and quiet. This restaurant is dirty!!!!! Unfortunately we had ordered our food before that became glaringly obvious. The burgers were lukewarm and the cheese wasn't even melted into the meat. The fries (made with some spice on them) were warm and crunchy. Our order was brought to the table by a very nice lady. Restrooms were also dirty and every part of the floors in the entire building looked like they had not been swept in a LONG time. Stopped by for lunch after several hours on the road. TX Burger (not to be confused with another chain called "Texas Burger") is just a little bit off the highway. I came in during lunchtime so the parking lot was full. There is covered outdoor seating as well as an indoor dining room. The setup is similar to most burger/ice cream places in Texas: a separate counter for the grill and another for dessert. Free WiFi is available, and there are some travelers there with laptops open catching up on email. I ordered the Bacon Texas Burger combo which came with fries and a drink. After taking the order, the server gave me a number to put on the table and a cup filled with ice, as there are no ice dispensers at the drink fountains. They serve Coca Cola products at TX Burger. After a couple minutes the meal came out hot and fresh. The burgers are cooked right and the fries are a battered type. TX Burger proudly boasts it uses a brand of beef endorsed by Nolan Ryan...but I really don't know what the difference is. Nevertheless the burger was excellent! You have to ask for extra condiments like ketchup, which they bring out chilled. Overall I really enjoyed my lunch and will consider going back the next time I am driving through the area! read more

Wow We were returning from The REN Fair back to Corsicana yesterday when we stopped in, like most people our Go-To stop is the giant gas station with a 1000 pumps; but thus time I wanted something else besides brisket. We decided to give this a try due to bad weather and we needed to stop. They were very busy and service was really slow. I ordered a mushroom Swiss burger and it was delicious. My friend got steak fingers and they were very good but his meal came when I was half way done with my food. Looking at the counter, it was full of food that was waiting to be handed out to customers. I then decided to have some ice cream which is blue bell and it was great. This place is really cute and really good food, but the wait for food wasn't something to be proud of. I would try it again and hope it goes a little faster. read more

So when I looked this place up (not on Yelp), this sounded like a hole in the wall burger joint. When I drove up it looked more like a fast food joint. But don't let that stop you. This is one of the most tastiest burgers I've had. The burger was juicy and pay a $1 more for the jalapeno sourdough bun. It also seems like they grill the burgers to order. Prices are reasonable and the burgers a pretty big. They also had all kinds of Bluebell ice cream flavors you cannot find in store, cake batter anyone?
