A nice surprise in a sleepy community. My lovely lady friend and I drove her flashy new orange Prius over to enjoy some Java and breadstuff. We had to wait a little while to put in our order but enjoyed gawking at the stacked array of beautifully baked goods. I ordered, for the first time, a London Fog Latte which is Earl Grey tea with a splash of Vanilla syrup and foam on top. Not only was my drink made to order but the cup they served it in seemed like the ideal container for this particular drink. If your in the area and craving a New England feel coffee/bakery then definitely stop in. These bakers & baristas are very good at what they do. read more

Came highly recommend, and did not disappoint. On a road trip we wanted some yummy food that wouldn't make us feel bla- like most road trip food does. We call Twofish a "destination of deliciousness". In the morning choose from their variety of fresh baked goodies (I love the cornmeal apricot windowpane goodies) and coffees. One of my favs is the amazing BLT on Challah bread! Check out the calzones with an awesome marinara sauce on the side. Twofish has it all, salads, cold drinks and old time candies. Wished I had a Two Fish Bakery in my neighborhood. Really enjoyed picking up fresh baguettes every other morning during our stay at Sea Ranch as well as enjoyed their wheat and sour dough breads. Baguettes come out of the oven at 9:30 am and can be preordered the day before to ensure you have some to take home. read more

Since I was last in The Sea Ranch, this great bakery moved to a new location. The new location - Stewart's Point - is highly charming and inviting. Right next to an old farm house and overlooking the ocean, in fact. The bakery, which serves wonderful sandwiches and delicious calzone, in addition to superb pastries, sits inside an old-fashioned convenient store that has been spruced up in recent years. (It's complete with a wagon full of colorful salt-water taffy over which my family marveled.) The warm braided cardamom rolls were some of the best - in texture, smell and taste - I have ever had. During my one week in The Sea Ranch, I made several trips to Twofish (and dreamed about the cardamom rolls when I wasn't there). One day, I also had a bowl of savory chili. It was particularly tasty and didn't leave me feeling weighed-down or sleepy. The coffee is pretty good. If I'm not mistaken, Twofish serves Equator. I will be grabbing a bad of cardamom rolls as I head out of town. read more

Sticky buns!!! They are amazing and worth getting in line at 7:30am for. The morning buns are also delicious. We have also had lunch here, brisket sandwich, calzones and the turkey sandwich. We stopped here quick on our way out of town and once inside I just wanted to stay all day. This is a special spot that brings you back in time to the 1900s. Many of the original features of this former general store seem to have been preserved. I felt like I was in Anne of Green Gables or the Little House in the Prairie. I am just enjoying the cookies we bought there on the weekend. 3 days after we bought them they are still incredibly good. We stopped here several times over the weekend for breakfast and lunch. Their brisket sandwich is amazing! The meat is tender and juicy and has the best flavor. Biscuit with ham and gruyère? Such a simple thing but perfectly made! We bought pecan and Linzer cookies. Just sweet enough with so much flavor and so delicate. I want to drive up there every weekend just to eat. read more

Went for the morning buns and got almost every pastry they had. Everything was fresh and delicious. I saw and smelled the smoker walking in and asked what they were smoking. Ribs and brisket was the reply. They recommended reserving them if you wanted some later as they often sell out. I reserved a rack of ribs and brisket. The ribs were delicious and fall off the bone. Yummy! I was slightly disappointed in the brisket because I wanted thicker sliced meat instead of what seemed to be thinly sliced for sandwiches. Flavor was still good but not the texture I was looking for. Quality place, a gem really, in what seems to be pretty quiet community. We stopped in as a typical go-to on our many adventures to Sea Ranch. While the goods are always great, we were greeted by an older woman who showed a bit of frustration with the line and the people she was there to help. Everything seemed like it was just too much for her; she was just flat out unfriendly. At first I thought it was just me, but as the other couples that were with us ordered, they made comments that they were feeling the same way. Good treats. However, you often have to wait in the cold outside. If you don't arrive super early they will likely be out of most pastries. I kindly pointed out the fact that many people were leaving without the treats they wanted, and the owners exploded on me and starting swearing and telling me to "stick it up my ass" in front of kids whose parents had to cover their ears. read more

Owners are mean to travelers; very nice to locals. We were there two different days and received the same treatment both days. Sitting there each day for 30 min. to eat our food we saw the "attitude change" quickly with the locals. She barked at my husband; I wouldn't have my dog spoken to in the manner. This is a local place, but the quality of both pastries and coffee is objectively high. It is located in the administrative center of The Sea Ranch, and it might be said that visitors are not treated as well as locals. But most people who have been in/on The Sea Ranch will simply say that Two Fish runs out of its pastries by mid-day, and that it caters to those who know what it is and how it operates. As with most places that offer the best of a class, it's not about you. Sorry if you pay too much for their pastries (though I find them reasonable), but you might accommodate yourself to making your choices early, and give up on the false notion that you are a special customer. Actually I have to give an incomplete grade. We got there at 11:00 am on Sunday and there were only 2 things left in the display, a cookie and one piece of bread pudding. I wasn't feeling either one. My wife ordered OJ, and they were out of that as well. I guess you do have to get there early, but come on I am on vacation 11:00 am is early. I was lucky enough to eat lunch AND dinner here in the same day! Well, go figure that this is one of the only restaurants in the whole town. The restaurant space is bright and airy, something all the architects in Sea Ranch would appreciate. First, the turkey and cranberry sandwich for lunch was heavenly. Caramelized onions put it over the top. It could have used a little cream cheese though for some contrast. For dinner, the Italian pizza was good. Definitely not anywhere near the best I've had, but for a small town place, it satisfies. I may not remember the sandwich or the pizza years from now, but the one sour thing I took from this restaurant experience were the elitist patrons. This was my first visit to Sea Ranch, and although the rest of the town was friendly and welcoming, the crowd here at dinner was strange. The communal table in the restaurant is meant to bring people together and enjoy the food. Sadly, with open seats next to my party, people that came in afterward were offered the open seats by the waitress, but they declined, and stood waiting for other tables to open up. The slap in the face was when people on the other end of the communal table finished and left - THEN the new customers proceeded to sit down, as far away from my party as possible. This happened twice. And it wasn't that they were trying to have a private, intimate dinner; they were younger groups of friends. Last I checked it was 2013. read more

What can you say about this amazing gem of a bakery that hasn't already been said? I know its one of the high points of my yearly stays at Sea Ranch. The line out the door hasn't changed, starts before they open at seven, when those sticky buns are out of the oven, the morning buns and the Cinnamon rolls fly off the baking sheets like lightning. Their wheat and sourdough breads have that wonderful tangy flavor and amazing crusts, pre order your breads the day before though or they will be gone. The sandwiches are some of the best Ive ever tasted, the line caught albacore tuna with olive japanned on wheat, yum, and the spicy Italian on a baguette with just the right amount of peppers! We like to sit out side for lunch and then take a little hike up the ridge, perfect. Try also the lemon cake, apricot window panes, pizza's and quiches, also their savory croissant with ham and Gruyere, or spinach, only problem with coming here is pacing yourself. I found this place quite spontaneously over Labor Day when they put a sign on Highway 1 and so I drove up Annapolis Rd. and found it. Very cool bakery with amazing products from homemade granola to pizza to bread to coffee. A cozy little outdoor dining area and the people that gather there are great fun to talk with. Best sticky buns I've ever had!!! For a little sleepy costal town they have a damn good bakery. I think I had about 6 sticky buns over two days. I typically don't like sweets/carbs for breakfast which obviously include pastries but mmMm was the sticky buns good. Didn't have an overly sweet taste and the nuts and glaze were delicious.
