I always stop here when in the area. The owners are fantastic and provide great service and community. I appreciate that it's a local business that supports other local businesses, family owned and operated, and is a beloved part of the community. The barista knows the orders for the regulars and seemed to know when someone wanted a chat versus needed caffeine and not up for talking. My oat milk mocha latte is always delicious and finished too quickly. There is a variety of rotating baked goods and a few easy breakfast options (like yogurt parfaits, frittata slices, and breakfast burritos) that have always been delicious. The homemade pastries are seriously amazing. Today, my scone (gluten free pear, ginger, and cardamom) was so yummy I got a second one to go (there isn't always a gf option for pastries available so especially enjoyed this one). Someone said their almond croissants were the best they had ever had. And they've had croissants all over. The coffeehouse is super cute, with nice indoor and outdoor seating options. The parking lot is easy to navigate. They also have my absolute favorite pronoun sign. One of the few places I'll always recommend and always stop in. read more

One turned out to Jim Irving, the owner, which became clear as a steady stream of regulars nodded in respect or chatted him up. Roadhouse has a cozy, slightly gritty charm, with shared board games, indoor and outdoor seating, and a small selection of fresh baked items, including cream cheese blueberry coffee cake, morning buns, and banana walnut muffins. The best little coffee shop around. Not only because it's one of the only coffee shops open early in/around Bodega Bay, but because the coffee really is that good. The service is kind and casual. The shop is quaint and unassuming with a fat orange cat lounging nearby. Came here during our first day in Bodega Bay to get a pick me up after driving five hours to get to the Bay'! We grabbed lattes and mochas and hung out with the cutest cafe cat who showed us around the nearby shops. The coffee was very well made and had a good coffee flavor that was matched with our chosen flavors. It was served hot and the value was amazing! Only $4 for a coffee - which is cheaper than most places. The service was great and all the baristas were friendly and communicative. Definitely a great introduction into Bodega Bay! read more

This little coffee sho0 is amazing! Family owned, fresh baked croissants, danishes, cookies and pies. I tried their rose latte and almond croisannt. My latte was very good and the almond croissant was the best that I have everr had - flaky crust and homemade almond paste. If they sold the paste I would buy it and eat it our od thev jar. It's very small inside with limited seating, but there are a few chairs and a picnic bench outside as well. The perfect little to-go spot! A friend and I (unbeknownst to us) walked in about 5 mins before closing. The sign was up by the main road and we were looking for coffee. The guy greets us oretty normally upon walking in, and is cleaning up some things so we patiently waited. I didn't know if maybe it looked like we were undecided so I said "no rush at all but we're ready to order whenever you are!) and he mutters something about it being 4 minutes until close. To be honest, I would have respected it more if upon our entry they said "hey how's it going? We're actually closing my up for the day" -- fine. But to let us stand there for a minute and then mutter about closing; yeah no thanks. I was actually glad this didn't work out because the Birdhouse coffee place down the street is SO GOOD. Maybe if you're gonna close at 1:55 remove the sign from the parking lot entrance at the least. I have sympathy with last minute customers. I worked at a great clips and had to to a full HAIRCUT on a customer that came in2 minutes to close. You literally close daily at 2pm or earlier and you can't make two more coffees? Whack. read more

We actually stayed next door but an employee of theirs decided to park their car right in the middle of the fire lane, blocking access to parking spaces and exits into and out of the hotel. Her boyfriend for whatever reason was just sitting in the passenger seat letting the car idle in the middle of the parking lot. The girl ran out and matter of fact told me there's no fire... Ma'am if there was a fire, you would be blocking all points of entry and exit, which is in fact a fire lane, even if it's not clearly marked. She proceeded to have to make like a 12 point turn to get out of the lot and was not apologetic at all. Place is nice, but that employee sucks. read more

Finally stopped at this coffee shop and so glad we did! The pastries were delicious and fresh. We got a morning cinnamon bun and a coffee cake slice. Both were very tasty. One of the loveliest things about staying in a small little beach town are the quaint locally owned coffee shops. We loved the coffee so much here that we came 2 days in a row for our coffee fix. It was that good. The owner was the sweetest older gentleman behind the counter and it was such a treat to meet him. Not only was he kind, but he made me one of the best latte's I've ever tried. I went with the usual-- a soy latte that was creamy, foamy and all around great. On the second day, we got to meet his daughter who took all of our orders and made them herself. The best thing was the coffee was just as good. Since we are still in Covid, they had a big sign outside stating that they were only allowing one party inside at a time.
