    Perfect michelada & tasty ceviche!

First time here & I'm already looking forward to my next visit! The food was fresh & delicious! The decor provided a delightful ambiance! Most importantly, the top notch friendly service from our server Gladys! With so many tempting options to choose from, Gladys made it easy by answering all of my questions about the menu & provided great recommendations! Her upbeat personality & welcoming smile made my family & I feel right at home! Although it was a busy Friday morning, the service we received from beginning to end was perfect! See you soon!

This was the second time we have dined at Two Trees. The first time was for lunch and we were there again for dinner last week. Dinner was superlative. My husband has the carne asada and it was amazing. An interesting collection of ingredients including a roasted Jalapeno and cactus. The steak was perfect and the accompaniments so good. Topped off with a great margarita. We are only in town a few times a year but this place is at the top of our "must go" list.

Delicious breakfast and speedy, pleasant service. The dining area is clean. The noise level is moderate. I love their Two Trees omelette but scrambled and their coffee is flavorful. I love locally owned establishments.

This review is long overdue since I've been to Two Trees a couple of times now. It's a nice restaurant with plenty of decent food options that can satisfy everyone's craving. Love their outdoor patio; it's perfectly spacious for my toddler's high chair without bugging the next table over. On our recent visit, we tried a variety of dishes. All were pretty good and enjoyed by everyone. I love their French fries and fried zucchini. They're always crispy and fresh. Two Trees also has my favorite michelada I've tried in VTA. They have great happy hour so don't miss out on that. Service has always been great! Very attentive and friendly. Restaurant is in a shopping center so there's always plenty of parking.

The wait wasn't too long for a Saturday. We were seated fairly quickly. Some of the tables in the middle felt like it was very tight quarters but we could still have our conversations. The specials almost had me, that strawberry old fashioned was tempting but my sister said the michelada was the way to go. Frozen goblet glasses rimmed with tangy flavor. This was my first michelada experience and this was a great place for it. The beignets are cute and tiny and full of flavor with the dusting of cinnamon sugar. Perfect for sharing. All of our food was perfectly portioned and full of flavor. Great service! Great food! A really GREAT brunch spot!

Service was great, food was AH-mazing! Can't wait to go back. High tables aren't for short legs best to wait for a lower table. The restaurant is a little tight but it's got a fun vibe. The drinks look amazing.

We got seated promptly, the place was packed people chatting, football game was playing. We were helped with our drinks right away. Then we ordered our meal it took about 10 minutes to arrive with our meal. No bad at all understanding it was busy. Waiter was name David good guy! We gave him a 9 of 10 for his service. Great sense of humor. A little out of our area but diffently we'll be back. Food was great and drinks too.

The food is amazing. Fresh ingredients. I've had Chorizo and Eggs, Blueberry Lemon Pancakes & their Hash browns. So good. Staff is so friendly, the water glass is always filled. any special requests are made easily. The room is busy but it works well, the area is open and welcoming. They have beer & cocktails.

We've have been trying to visit new places and I found this one on Instagram. We went for lunch. The restaurant is clean and inviting. The menu has lots of choices and our choices were delicious, especially the French fries. I ordered the cider and it was tasty and refreshing. Our server was so kind and took the time to talk with us.

5/5 -- A Whole Vibe From First Sip to Last Bite! I came in on a mission for a Michelada... and let me tell you, it delivered with main-character energy. 10/10, bold, balanced, and crafted like someone whispered all their secrets into the glass. Absolutely perfection. My mom ordered the chilaquiles and immediately said they tasted like they were made with love -- and honestly, so was that Michelada The food portions here? Massive. The "you're definitely leaving full and possibly needing a nap" kind of massive. Every plate passing by looked delicious, and everything we tried tasted even better. And please -- don't forget the beignets. Pillowy, warm, dusted in sweetness... they're the kind of treat that makes the world slow down for a moment. There is nothing on this menu that hits wrong. The service tied everything together. We were greeted by the sweetest hostess, Alina, who suggested the patio -- and she was right. Cozy heaters, comfy seating, the whole place glowing with good-vibe energy. It felt like the kind of spot you accidentally fall in love with. We'll absolutely be back.

Best restaurant in town, great service, food and overall experience. Monday is happy hour from 3 pm to close. Jr. has been amazing, every time we've been here, does he ever stop working?!

Great breakfast spot. We had boot their mimosas. Today we specifically came for happy hr. Pass on the Margarita and get the strawberry basil martini it's delicious. Chicken nachos were good, just lacked a little flavor. My husband loved the blackened salmon taco. Calamari was good and my toddler loved the chicken strips.

Once your seat is ready, you order at the counter and you get a number. The staff that took our order was awesome. Friendly, warm, high energy, and efficient. Our order came out in about 10-15 min. Water is self serve. Drip coffee- perfect and high quality. It tasted like Kona coffee! Lavender matcha- great and well balanced Japanese milk bread- this fell a tad short for me. I would've liked both sides to be seasoned/flavored. Japanese Milk bread is typically moist and fluffy , however this was a little dry likely due to the toasting of the bread. The color overall was lighter than expected. It's served with a berry sauce which is really yummy. Side of smashed potatoes- really good. Perfectly seasoned and ketchup tasted homemade Aussie meat pie- soooooo delicious! The crust was awesome and the meat was tender. We also loved the side salad because it had a little zing of lemon. A rare moment where a side salad is actually fantastic! Miso chicken katsu Sando- really loved this! The chicken breast is huge. As other reviews stated, it's not a typical chicken katsu. If you like honey, you'll like this. The honey sauce hits you on the front end and ends with a little acidity from the aioli and slaw. The sandwich was super juicy and flavorful. While large, it didn't feel heavy. Each bite got better and better. Brontë bowl - OUR FAVORITE!!!! Ok first off, I hate mushrooms with a passion, but I kept them in the order because they are curried and I knew theyre an essential part of the dish. They were awesome. I didn't mind them one bit. This dish does not need salmon, and if anything I think adding it would've been too salty. I naturally eat fast but this bowl makes you slow down because of the layers/elements. The sweetness of onions, the creaminess of the feta and avocado, the crunch from the seeds, the delicious pesto, the buttered bread, the perfectly poached eggs - UGH! So perfect! Everything had a purpose. I am obsessed with this bowl. It is so much more filling than you'd think. I could eat this everyday and I hope they never change it. Ambiance was great. We sat at the bar which felt spacious. The inside is gorgeous and just puts you in a good mood. The best thing about this place is the staff. Literally every single person we interacted with was amazing! Everyone here is friendly, warm, and just looks happy to be there. I can't wait to return!!!!!

There is something about this place that immediately lifts your mood the moment you walk inside. The atmosphere feels warm lively and full of personality in a way that teenagers naturally connect with. It has that comfortable playful energy where you can sit down talk with someone enjoy your food and feel like you are part of a fun little world without any pressure at all. I did not expect it to feel that youthful and inviting but it absolutely did. One thing that stood out to me more than anything else was the garlic bread. Busy Bee Cafe is the only location I know that has garlic bread with a taste I genuinely love. I do not even know if they sell that exact garlic bread online and honestly that mystery makes it feel even more special. The flavor is warm buttery and rich in a way that hits you instantly. It is the kind of garlic bread that teenagers would enjoy a lot especially if they are hanging out with friends and looking for something comforting and delicious to share. It is rare to find something so simple that leaves such a strong impression. While I was there I noticed a lot of teenagers enjoying the space and it made perfect sense. The cafe has a classic retro charm that feels both nostalgic and fresh at the same time. It is the kind of place where teenagers can take pictures enjoy the decor and feel completely at ease. The environment supports creativity and fun without trying too hard. I appreciated that same feeling myself. It reminded me of how easy it can be to enjoy a place when the atmosphere naturally encourages you to relax and be present. I have only visited Busy Bee Cafe once in my life before writing this review but that one visit was more than enough to make it memorable. It is rare to find a place that feels relaxed and exciting at the same time but this cafe manages to do that effortlessly. The garlic bread alone makes me want to return but the overall experience is what stays with you. It is playful welcoming and full of life in a way that makes you feel mentally sharp youthful and connected to the moment. I would highly recommend that teenagers go to Busy Bee Cafe in Ventura. It gives them a place to enjoy great food take pictures hang out with friends and feel creative and energized. It is one of the most enjoyable and unexpectedly fun spots I have been to in a long time and I am glad I got to experience it the way I did.

So I worked as a busboy in 1970 at age 14, when it was Warren's Restaurant. I go way back. It's…read morestill almost exactly the same, now as Busy Bee all these years. It wasn't much fun working there as a kid, but I've always liked their "authentic" diner food all the many times I've gone back--I don't think it's changed its basic meals since it was Warren's! Good old food, with expected adequate service, a standard for over 55 years (that I at least) have been going in there. I can't help it, I just like old-time, anachronistic places like Busy Bee.
