Yes, yes, and check! Two Sons= amazing NY style pizza by the slice in Grand Rapids. Open until Midnight for that late night snack that hits the spot. Two Sons - Yummy Cheese Pie - Pizza Near Me - Grand Rapids, Michigan

Updated review: originally had given 2 Sons a 2.8/5. The owner reached out after my review and offered a refund/re-fire. I took him up on a re-fire. Pizza was for me a 8.4 / 10 this 2nd time around, environment is clean with plently of seating, service was 11/10. Overall I would give 2 Sons a 4.4/5. Night and day difference between the first pizza i got and the re-fire I got. Pizza was cooked beautifully, undercarriage was spot on, crust was crispy with a great inner softeness, ever so slight flop but for a slice so large a little flop is almost expected. A complaint i had last time was the pepperoni almost seemed undercooked, this time they were cooked and cupped as I would expect, a little crispness on the edges with the oil pooled in the middle. I generally dont get a basic cheese pizza but decided to get half the pizza cheese, dare I say I liked the cheese more then the pepperoni, it was simple and nostalgic. The first time I tried 2 Sons I also got the garlic knots, those were delicious. The pizzas are around $30-35 and at first I did think that was expensive for a pizza, but as the owner pointed out it does feed around 3-5 people, so its not cheap but its not overly expensive. The best part of 2 Sons is the owners. Read the other reviews, they seem to really care about their customers and making sure their experience is up their standard. That feels like something that is becoming rarer in today's world. Ill definitely be back, its a lot of food for just my partner and I but if I had family in town this will be my new go to for pizza. read more

Food is phenomenal. I hate having to leave anything less than five stars. The reason why I only rated two stars is because the person who got our pizza was literally putting his hands on the pizza without gloves. Long hair with no hair net but handling the pizza is kinda crazy to me. All while cashing out customers and handling change. Grossed me out. read more

Two Sons - Pizza Near Me - Grand Rapids, Michigan

I recently visited Two Sons Pizza in Grand Rapids. They offer New York style pizza by the slice or you can order an entire pie. Slices range from specialty toppings to a basic cheese and a cupped pepperoni version. So many great options for any pizza lover. If you order by the slice they warm it up for you and it comes out crispy and cheesy. If you are traveling with it, the owner shared some great reheating advice! Very friendly and welcoming staff and such a beautiful space with lots of table seating. They are located at the corner of Oaks and Ottawa. There is metered street parking in front of the building. The parking does fill up fast because of the location. I had a very difficult time finding parking this specific day. If you're in a hurry give yourself time to find a spot! Price and value: We paid around $6 per slice. The slices are big and so crispy and you get a good cheese pull. It was so good but it was a pricey slice. Specialty topping pizzas cost a little more so keep that in mind. You still get a great quality slice but based on our visit expect to get at least two slices per person. We had no complaints on flavor or texture. I highly recommend the visit and encourage you to try their amazing combinations. Maybe get a whole pie?A whole pie is 20" and serves 6-8 people. Prices range $30-$32 for the whole pies. If you compare to other local pizza places these prices are a bit higher but you do get a great quality pizza. read more

Grand Rapids has no shortage of pizza places, but a late night slice shop is a nice addition to downtown. Nate and I stopped by after a Griffins game for a few slices. The space is nice and the customer service was excellent! We got two pepperoni slices and the mushy madness. After a quick trip through the oven they were piping hot and crispy. The pizza was really good (quite salty) with a nice crust and not too sweet sauce. Toppings were plentiful and quality. I will definitely come back again! I do agree that I wish they had more drink options (like a fountain machine), but we were focused on the pizza. They are also working on another location and will be expanding this space, so I'm excited to see what's to come. read more

Two Sons was amazing New York style pizza! Paper thin crust with some crisp on the bottom, fresh tasting and flavorful sauce, and a dough that's good enough, you don't want to skip the crust! They've definitely moved their way into my top 3 pizzas in Grand Rapids. You can order a full pie, or order by the slice. They are temporarily located in the old Stans Tacos on Ottawa, but moving down the road soon! Play pinball while you wait for your pizza (although it wasn't busy when we were there). Definitely a casual atmosphere, but I'm interested to see what their permanent location looks like! read more

The service was absolutely wonderful. Pizza was thin crust and very good. Would definitely stop here if you're going to a show (concessions at shows are horrendous) this place welcoming. Good ambiance--good vibe--overall was wonderful! read more

Probably would rate the pizza a 3.5/5. Service is quick. They have pizza by the slice and whole pizzas. We had a meatball pizza and the meatballs were delicious. It is supposed to be New York style pizza. In my opinion the crust is not as soft and a lot more crunchy than I would like. The BBQ pulled pork pizza also was good. The bread sticks were decent. read more

I love a good pop up! The location is right downtown which makes it easy to walk to. There is street parking all around as well as a few lots nearby. There was a guy working behind the counter and he was so friendly! It's a bit hard to know how to order if you've never been to a place like this, but the man was very helpful and gave good advice. The space itself was fun! Lights and music. Very clean. There were also 5 pinball machines! The food was good but I wish there would have been condiments and maybe other drink choices. The late hours and by-the-slice availability are wonderful considering nobody else downtown has anything close! read more

Stopped in after a Griffins game for some slices and had a great time. The options available were slim but he immediately apologized and said more are coming out. In less than a minute, 2 more large pizzas came around the corner and they continued to be restocked the whole time we were there. We both loved our slices and I can't wait to come back and try more of the different options. They only had Faygo and some energy drinks, which was fine, but I would have liked a regular soda. Overall, super cool spot close to the arena that was perfect for a quick bite. read more

I'm not familiar with the pizza that you can get in NYC but the slices here were crisp and tasty. Compared to other local pizza joints that offer slices, I thought it was a little bit on the expensive side with slices that range around $5 or $6 each. The ordering process was a bit confusing to us as the pies are off to the side but you order from the other side of the counter. After a drink or two, people tend to order visually. There are a lot of tables but none of them were really clean. This seems like a great late night spot to grab a slice, if they were open later than the posted hours stated on the door. read more

My husband and I stopped in for lunch and the service was excellent, very friendly and helpful. The spot is bright and they have pinball machines in the seating area which is cool. The pizza was amazing, I got the eggplant and pepperoni while my husband opted for the Mushy madness and meatball. They were all incredible. We'll be back - I want to try the Hawaiian! read more

After a small casino winning, we decided that we should stop into some place for lunch. We are always on the hunt for delicious pizza and sliced pizza at that, so this place, definitely check the box. They had a lot of great options for sliced pizza and I had a hard time choosing, but I went with the Hawaiian, the Graffiti, and the Weekly special. It was not surprising that I was able to eat all three slices that were really delicious in their own way. My husband also got fries which were also looking like the hand cut variety that we really enjoy so that hit the spot. I always appreciate a place open on Sundays too. The guy at the register was very helpful with the suggestions. They also have some pinball machines that are fun if you like that sort of thing but might be a little loud for the people who just want to eat and talk, might be harder to hear people. You did say that we would have to take a whole pie back home the next time. read more

We first became familiar with two sons when we saw their location in Traverse City. When they came here, I knew I had to try it. We visited on a Tuesday evening and the place was empty. We were warmly greeted and he went on to explain a little bit about their offerings and showed us what was available in the slices case. The tables were all clean and we could see a selection of pinball games in the adjacent room. Ordering was pretty straightforward. You can order by the slice or buy the whole pie. In addition to pizza they have sub and chicken wings also available. I had some misgivings about ordering by the slice as I'm always a little wary about enjoying food that has been sitting out for an undetermined amount of time, but we gave it a go. We ordered a slice of Bianca, meatball and a slice of pepperoni to split. Each slice was put in a warm-up oven and then brought out to us. It was...eh just ok. The crust is the perfect combination of chewy and crunchy and I love New York style pizza. Flavor wise it was just lacking. As other reviewers have mentioned the toppings and sauce seem a little sparse. We both felt it was just fine but not rave worthy. Truthfully, I was underwhelmed. However, I fully believe our experience would be different if we ordered a fresh whole pie and I intend to visit again and do just that because the service was really good and it's a fun chill place to hang out. read more

Hands down our new favorite pizza place. I love the option to buy one slice to explore the menu but don't miss out on buying a whole pizza. The thing is ginormous! Freshly warmed after ordering, our slices were crispy and piping hot. Add the fact they have pinball and this place is heaven! read more

I showed up for an order I made of 15 pizzas today, only to find out I'd ordered them from the other location. I needed them for an event we were having that was already getting started. The manager was a saint and told me he could get it done for me. He was running back and forth, getting the pizzas out as fast as possible and saved me from disaster. The pizza was delicious - everybody really enjoyed it. I am so grateful and will be sure to come back whenever I'm in the area as I see they are open late and have pinball machines, which I love! Thank you again! read more

Best pizza in GR hands down! We crushed three pies the other night and we all agreed this is the go to place in GR for great pizza!

Guy took my order and disappeared before I even paid. I ordered pizza fries and knots somehow a whole pizza, fries and knots took less than 5 minutes to make. It was cold. So I assume it's just a warm up pizza???? Not very good at all. The third star was for the only good thing. The knots. Won't be going back. read more

We went to Two sons pizza for the third time today and it truly is an amazing establishment. We ordered a pizza a few days ago and it wasn't how I received it the first time. It was still good but definitely not the best pizza I have had from here. I reached out to the restaurant and the owner messaged me right back and wanted to know when he could make it right to me. He invited me into the kitchen to see exactly how the pizzas are made. Very cool experience. Great food and great service! read more

I wanted to love this pizza more. Way more. It was ok. If you are downtown and Big O's is busy, this is a good option.

I was first time customer. I had an issue with third party ordering that hadn't gone through. They jumped right on it and made pie right away! Worth it- best pizza in GR! read more

Finally! FINALLY! An incredible slice shop in this city. The NY style crust is the perfect balance of crunch and chew, the pepperoni curls at the edges, the sauce avoids the sweetness of a Midwest style, and they have the variety you find in a god New York/New Jersey pizza place (the eggplant pizza is a personal favorite that is impossible to find most places). the staff was helpful in choosing what to try, and gave a lot of information for the future of Two Sons in Grand Rapids. I can't wait to go back! read more

I got the pepperoni slice, it was very salty and had an overall nasty taste. My son got a cheese slice and it was lacking cheese and flavor. These slices are expensive and definitely wasn't worth a 20 minute drive to try it out. read more

Stopped at 2 Sons Pizza in Grand Rapids for a quick pit stop on a road trip and somehow walked into a life-changing experience. Gabby is truly the third son of 2 Sons Pizza the heart, soul, and energy of the place. From the second gabby spoke, I was automatically attracted to her personality alone. Super enthusiastic, insanely polite, and just radiates good vibes. She made the whole stop unforgettable. Came in hungry and left fed and inspired. If customer service was an art form, Gabby would be the masterpiece. Give her a raise, a trophy, and maybe her own pizza named after her. 10/10 stop, 100/10 experience. read more

Perfect NY style pizza! I got a build your own with pepperoni, sausage and green pepper. House made sausage, fresh crisp green peppers!! The perfect amount of grease! I cannot wait to see this location develop further! I'm sure this location will be a hit with Studio Park, Van Andel and the rapid central station all within minutes walking distance. read more
