They also have one desert called Cinni Sticks. Gino makes a Sicilian pizza which he learned from his Grandmother. Gino makes his own sauce from scratch which is a family secret. He makes his own sausage, lasagna. He also makes his own chicken for subs and pizza. Everything is excellent here. The family atmosphere is amazing. They do not have dine in since Covid hit. My favorite is his Sicilian (sausage, banana pepper and bacon), and the Barbecue Chicken pizza (which come with onion and bacon). Outstanding. I went to pick up my 16" deluxe with extra cheese and black instead of green olives.The owner was at the counter talking with local friends which I found charming. My pizza was given to me with the warning that the bottom of the box was still very hot. It was still plenty warm when I arrived home 30 minutes later. The crust was perfect, you could use the outer crust like breadsticks. Great amount of toppings, just the right amount of sauce, and the ordered addition and change of toppings were done flawlessly. Had a great experience with Gino's. Living on the west side of Grand Rapids I don't think I ever had Gino's before, but after reading some reviews on Google and yelp, I decided this was gonna be my dinner on Saturday. I ordered and 25 minutes later it was hot and ready to go. The man and lady working were very nice and friendly when picking up. I ordered a 12 inch pizza and an order of breadsticks and both of them were very good. Pizza had a great crispy crust and full of toppings and breadsticks were also really garlicky and cheesy. We are pizza snobs, so for us to rate our first order with 5 stars is truly a compliment. First, due to an accident on Alpine, it took longer to pick up and a 15 minute drive home....it was still hot, not greasy, and more importantly, NOT soggy. The cheese bread with pizza sauce. It must have had garlic butter on the crust, very tasty. Perfect amount of mozzarella cheese. Ordered the 14" pepperoni pizza. Enough slices of pepperoni, NOT swimming in grease. To complete the order, a 16" deluxe. Now the slices are getting too big. I would recommend asking for 2 more slices, so they are smaller wedges. Definitely will go back!!! read more

Last night, it probably wasn't the best idea to ride a Lime scooter to and from Van Andel for the Gold game, but I did. I live close to downtown and it was only about a 25 minute trip. The scooter downtown to the game was not so bad because it was still light out, and a little warmer, but I felt great during the game. I ate throughout the game, had a water, and after the third quarter, when the Gold started to turn things around, they came back to go to overtime, but that was when I decided to leave. Once I got outside, I called the pizza shop to place an order, and I immediately hopped on a lime bike and went straight there. After about 20 minutes of freezing on the bike, I started feeling a little sick. Flurries were coming down and I was not in a coat so I was freezing. Once I got off the bike about a quarter of a mile to the shop, I walked to try and pick up the pizza because I do not live far from the shop either, but that's when I was starting to feel dizzy. I knew immediately something was wrong. Once I got inside, I walked to the counter, told the guys my name, and waited for my pizza. Once they told me it was ready, I asked them if I could also purchase a water. They supplied me with a water and I could barely sign the receipt, and that's when I told the guys there I was starting to feel a little woozy. I was starting to feel so faint that I left my card and pizza at the counter and sat down with my water. They reminded me that I left my card, and the pizza, but when I stood up to go back to the counter, and I grabbed my card and pizza, the next thing I knew I was dreaming. Waking up looking dead in the eyes of the staff in the pizza shop is something I will never forget. Right there, I had just fainted in the middle of Gino's. I had dropped my freshly baked pizza, my water, everything I had, and fell to the floor. From then I was just dreaming. But while I went out and before I hit the ground, the owner caught me before I could hit my head on one of the tables or the concrete floor and essentially saved my life. When I woke up on the ground, I was being held by these random people who were committed to making sure I was alright and safe. They helped me off the ground, and gave me everything I needed to be ok. Water, caffeine, and even offering to drive me home. The staff would not let me leave until they made sure I was ok and even went as far as replacing my entire pizza for free. I was left stunned. Gino's has been my favorite pizza shop in Grand Rapids even before I fainted in their shop. Each time I am there (which is routinely), I am treated to delicious pizza, fantastic service, and a great time. It's open late, and has the best pizza in GR. I have never not been satisfied with a pizza from them. I even have a white Gino's pizza t-shirt, that I was wearing when I fainted in the store, but had forgotten I had on till I got home. Gino's has become my guardian angel. So, long story short, thank you Gino's for not only being the best pizza shop in Grand Rapids but for also saving my life. I am forever grateful for the staff that helped me and am so thankful for them. My husband and I order pizza quite often. I personally am very picky about my pizza place of choice. I have to have a good pizza AND good cheesy bread . Gino's has both and they are delicious! Well as soon as I opened the box, I could tell the mushrooms were out of a can and not fresh. The sauce was so thin that it was like they infused it with water. The crust was burnt and had no flavor. Gino's Pizza is a West Side gem tucked away in a mostly residential neighborhood near Lincoln Ave on Walker Ave. While there are tables for eating in, it's not really sit-down friendly. The pizza is better than most non-chain locations, and the service is quick and friendly. I'd also recommend trying some of the non-pizza entrees--especially the subs or lasagna. I live just down the road from Gino's and have never been disappointed by their food or their service. As someone originally from New York, it can be hard at times to find pizza and subs in the Midwest that hit the spot. Gino's is my favorite pizza I've ever had in Michigan, and their subs are also high quality. The pizza is great. The real standout quality for me is toppings. Not only are they generous with quantity but their ingredients are so fresh. Their cheese is delicious and their meats are top notch. Whatever they are doing they are doing it right. With this being said my favorite menu items are their subs. In Michigan it is hard to find quality baked Italian bread. I don't know if Gino's bakes their own bread but if they don't they buy high quality stuff. It has a crispy outer layer with a soft fluffy bite in the middle. The Pizza sub stands out to me, with Italian meats and pizza sauce, it is a staple of my late night snacks. The meatball sub is also delicious. Not only are these the best subs in the neighborhood (without question), but they are also quite cheap. As a college student I appreciate the $5.50 pizza sub that will fill me up, and be ready in 10 minutes. There's a lot to love about Gino's, it gives me a feel that reminds me of being out east. A small little shop that isn't going to blow you away with a flashy building but will give you consistently great food at good prices late at night. The service is always friendly and fast. I've never had to wait for a pick up order. I've rarely ordered delivery due to living so close, but the few times I have it has arrived as fast as any chain.
