The photos on the website are not how the pizza looks at all. We are visiting in town and decided to try this place. Did not know it was carry out only, but we ate at a table down the street thankfully. The margarita and the cheese sticks were like burnt cardboard. I love thin crust but this was inedible. There was barely any cheese and the margarita pizza had a spicy sauce which was strange. The temperature was not even hot either! Do not go here. Had high hopes but definitely not a great Anniversary dinner for us. read more

I just came in here on a whim. I smelled their pizza when I was back by the dessert and cheese counter in the store. Had to exit and go into a different entrance outside. It's thin crust here. By the slice was about $2.50ish, but it's not a large NYC type slice, it's likely half that size. I tried 2 different slices, one had serrano green sauce on it with chicken, another had pepperoni and other meats. Overall the pizzas were okay. A bit on the dry side, flavor was okay, I was expecting more of a robust flavor profile but it was still okay - that's why we ended up at 3-stars. Nothing outta this world here but the pizzas overall (IMO) look more appetizing than they really are. They are not the best pizza in GR by any means, but I really do like the thin crust - - so you don't feel weighted down with extra bread. And I would entertain going back to get a whole pizza on their menu and give them another shot and see how that goes. read more

Yum yum yum!!! I knew the second I got the pizza to my car that it was gonna be good! The smell had my mouth watering the entire drive home! We got the Parente and the sticks. So good! The sauce is to die for too. Definitely our new go-to for thin crust. Fast and relatively inexpensive. Put it in my pie hole, post-haste! read more

Best pizza by the slice I e ever had. Hit the spot! Right next to market so got lunch for tomorrow. Recommend.

The best pizza Grand Rapids I've tried and we have been to many pizza spots definitely the quality value for the money it's worth it ! Red Devil and meat lovers are my favorite or just a regular pep or cheese. Thin crust fresh pizza read more

Ambience: this is just a pick up location - not a place where you'd go sit down to eat inside (though there are some outdoor tables and chairs right around the corner next to Martha's Vineyard. Service: they have always had their pizzas ready for me on time! It usually takes around 20 minutes for them to get it ready. Food: I got the Extra Special and it was really good. The crust is on the thin side. Wasn't greasy at all, and the vegetables tasted really fresh (which I think is their selling point). The sausage and pepperonis were delicious. The pizzas are on the the pricey side (this and most others are 14.99, plus tip would eventually add up to around $16/17). For one person, I'd say one pizza would cover two meals. read more

Best pizza in town by far. Pizza was loaded with toppings and cooked to perfection. Very professional and friendly service as well.

I absolute love this place! It is connected to the market but you can't get to the market from here. I love the vibe of this area! Pizza by the slice or you can order whole pizzas too! They always have a unique selection of slices to try! The classics are also always available like pepperoni and cheese! They have a cooler with drinks and small salads which makes it convenient if your grabbing a quick bite. $2 per slice but they are smaller and thin just FYI. If your feeling adventures and want to try some of the unique combinations it's a great way to do it by getting slices. They also offer subs if your looking for something a little heavier! The team is friendly and the service is fast! Overall this place is a good spot for a quick bite. No seating just a to- go place. But they do have seating along side the other buildings. Parking is only quick trips so no long term parking in front of the building. read more

Amazing pizza! Very nice deli with baked goods and combination alcoholic beverages and neighborhood go to store! Highly recommended! read more

I was hesitant to try Martha's Pizza after visiting there Deli and Storefront. It seemed almost like they were doing to much. I was wrong. I tried the Pesto Chicken pizza from Marthas. Pesto, Onion, Mushroom and Chicken. They advertise it as a Neapolitan pizza, mine ate more like a bar pie, which isn't a bad thing for me. Thin, crispy pizza, almost no crust but the ingredients are A1. Everything tasted fresh and tasted good. For me this was a personal pizza for dinner, I was full afterwards and probably overate slightly... but sharing with 2 could be an issue if you are both wanting a full dinner. I'll be back soon! ps. They dont make their own ranch and the ranch they did serve was cafeteria ranch, pass on it. read more

Stopped in on a Yelp whim. We wanted pizza. This spot was close by and rated high. It did not disappoint! Thin crust pizza. Made to order or buy ready made pizzas. There's no seating, but the coffee shop around the corner has cute Aframe booths for cozy outside seating. Staff was friendly. Prices were reasonable. They are nestled in a residential area. Quaint. Without a doubt, I'd return. read more

The BEST pizza in GR so far. I'm not a fan when it comes to pizza, but I bring my own friends to this place because of the Chicken Pesto!!!! Only takeout. Chicken Pesto is around $16, all other pizzas range from $12~. Takes around 20 minutes for a box of pizza. Plenty of time to look around Marthas Vineyard or the Nantucket bakery near here. Also, definitely check out Lyon Street Cafe! read more

The service was great. The quality of the pizza, however, was that if a frozen pizza. We ordered two classics and couldn't distinguish them between a frozen Costco pizza. Disappointed but we're happy to support the business. read more

SERVICE:N/A FOOD QUALITY: 3 DRINK QUALITY: N/A ORDER TIME: 4 AESTHETICS: N/A NOISE LEVEL: N/A MENU SELECTION: 3 OVERALL EXPERIENCE: 3.3 This review is solely based off the pizza. We ordered, to go, the Hawaiian pizza and a chicken pesto. This is a great pizza place for your local that lives in the surrounding neighborhoods or your local college student. The pizza wasn't bad, but I have had much better. We explored Martha's pizza after going to their grocery store that is next door. The grocery store is superb with quality foods, wines and spirits so we assumed the pizza would be the same. We ordered the pizza and were given a time to pick it up. Once arriving at that time we had to wait a little bit until we got the pizzas. The quality wasn't great, and It tasted like a store bought pizza after getting it home. Not a pizza place I intend on going back to, but it could be an anomaly. If someone thinks differently I am open to criticism. I'm never opposed to trying something for a second time if the proper persuasion is introduced. read more

Delicious! 25$ (tip included) for a 12 inch pepperoni and 12 inch cheese sticks. Came with a side of marinara. The sauce on the pizza was a tad sweet but not overwhelmingly so. Multiple cheeses used on the cheese sticks, and some herbs too. Much more flavorful than other cheese sticks nearby:) Parking is available out front and on the side, as well as street parking on Union and Lyon. I am kicking myself for not going sooner! The people working were so nice, my order was correct and done quickly. They do have a few drink options inside, but conveniently next door is the best grocery store (same company I believe) with tons of wine! It made for a great Friday night and leftovers all weekend. read more

I have nothing but positives to share about this awesome local pizza joint! Martha's is your East town local specialty market with the little pizza parlor attached! When the hubs and I want a freshly made pizza with local ingredients Martha's is our place to go! We usually walk in and order. This time we did the Red Devil-it's one of our favorites! It has roasted red pepper, sun dried tomatoes, pepperoni and a sprinkle of Parmesan! The sauce is the perfect amount. It's not a super think crust and they cook it in a hot stone pizza oven. The staff is super kind and the service is super quick! You also can walk right in and get one of their by the slice pieces they have already ready! Definitely one of the best places to get pizza in downtown GR! read more

Wanted to try this place for a while but not the best experience. Did a walk in order for 2 pizzas, margherita (in photo) and red devil. Service was unwelcoming but if the pizza had been good I wouldn't care. The margherita was inedible for me - overly thin on crust and too much sauce, cheese reminded me of if you cut up a string cheese and heated it up but we did enjoy the red devil. Don't think we will be back but the shop section is worth checking out. read more

While trying to avoid the usual summertime road construction, my husband and I drove past this wonderful little neighborhood in the Heritage Hills section of Grand Rapids. There is a whole corner that looked absolutely charming, with beautiful storefronts filled with delicious looking food, and outdoor tables filled with happy diners, kids, and dogs. We were on our way to visit a Shawn's mom in Spectrum Heart. Once we finished our visit, we couldn't wait to get back and explore this charming little corner of the world. There are quite a few food offerings on this corner, but we were both looking for a good slice of pizza. So we stopped at Nantucket Bakery, and bought some San Francisco sourdough and a few cookies to take home, and headed directly for Martha's Pizza. There were five different pies ready, so we took one slice of each to try. Wow! The pizza looked great, and smelled even better. But when we discovered how inexpensive the pizza was, we were both worried. How could they possibly make a great pie and charge so little? Once we tried it, we didn't think about it again! This is some seriously great pizza, served with pride and a smile from the young man who has obviously made it. He knew how good it was! The crust is a really good Neopolitan dough that is thin and light, but still perfectly chewy. You know instantly that it has been baked in a stone hearth oven. All the toppings we're great, with just the right proportion of everything. And the sauce.... The sauce was so good! It was full of flavor, with just a little zing to it. And again, it was just the right amount. My favorite slices were the cheese, and the pineapple, ham, and sriracha. The slice of cheese was just perfect simplicity. The sriracha and pineapple and ham slice had the perfect combination of sweet, salty, and spicy. We sat outside in the sunshine eating this wonderful lunch, watching the people and dogs walk by. It was just kind of perfect! Truly great pizza! I have already decided when I come back which pizza to order next! Margherita! read more

This is, hands-down, the best pizza in all of Grand Rapids. I've been looking for a thin crust pizza, and this is it! But it's not just the crust that makes this place great, it's the quality of the vegetables. The vegetables are straight from their grocery store, so nothing is cheap because they bought in bulk. It's all extremely high-quality delicious toppings. You just don't feel like you're having a greasy, gross, unhealthy pizza; you feel like this is actually a healthy meal. I totally dig this place! read more

It's a good pizza and a must try . The service was good . The size is small and it's expensive . Ranch doesn't come with it .

Ordered 5 pies for National Pizza Day. They were able to do one with anchovy and olive oil. I will say that these pizzas need to be eaten fresh right out the oven or else it won't be to it's fullest potential. Thin crispy crust. Tomato sauce is whatever but the toppings is where it shines. Quality. Freshness in the veggies. Something a lot of pizza joints lack. I get why they are charging near $15 for a pizza. Would I go back? Perhaps. Would I order Togo? Definitely not. read more

I have had Martha's takeout as well as stopped in for some quick slices. In my opinion, the pizza is over priced for the quality. The prices match the rest of the Martha options in this building. The few times I came in for slices, the options were average but nothing special. It was kind of a "you get what you get" scenario. When we have ordered takeout, it's usually not a horrible wait but the pizza is still just average in Grand Rapids. I feel we have so many great pizza options that don't charge this much for even higher quality pies. read more

I'd prefer more toppings, taste and buttered crust.. but, now I know these pizzas are too thin and a bit dry for my taste. Not for me but I still encourage you to try it. I enjoy the type of pizza that is a bit greasy and heavier than Martha's Pizzas. read more

I'm usually never blown away when someone tells me "you have to try this place, it's the best". Martha's was one of those rare exception. We've tried just about every pizzeria in Kent County and, without a doubt, Martha's is one of the best. It's a well balanced pizza with quality ingredients. The staff is kind, it's only about $10 - $13 a pizza, they have bi-weekly specials, and a great menu. They have won us over from our former favorites. Plus, it's a pizza you can eat and still feel good about yourself afterwards. read more

I'm going to keep this short and sweet; This is the best pepperoni pizza in Grand Rapids. The pepps are small and get super crispy, the sauce is deliciously fresh and the crust is thin with a great balance of crispy and chewy. None of us deserve Martha's, but Martha's generously supplies love through their perfectly crafted pies. read more

Just around the corner from Martha's Vineyard, and Lyon Street Cafe, this gem is easy to miss. Whatever you do, don't just walk by! The pizza here is fresh, thin crust, oven baked, made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients, and they have vegan options galore! They have one size option for a specialty pizza, which is 12" (and easily crushed by two adults) and by the slice options. I've had a few specialty pizzas that have yet to disappoint so simply find something that looks like it fits your palate and don't hesitate to buy away. Best part about this pace is they are open super late (last orders are taken at 11:30 PM) and the pizza is ready in about 20-25 mins, which is perfect for a call in, pick up, and eat away option on a Sunday, or any lazy day night! read more

I can name only a couple instances where I've had really good pizza and this is one of them. The sauce, dough, and toppings are made just right. I love that they sell by the slices too.
