I just came in here on a whim. I smelled their pizza when I was back by the dessert and cheese counter in the store. Had to exit and go into a different entrance outside. It's thin crust here. By the slice was about $2.50ish, but it's not a large NYC type slice, it's likely half that size. I tried 2 different slices, one had serrano green sauce on it with chicken, another had pepperoni and other meats. Overall the pizzas were okay. A bit on the dry side, flavor was okay, I was expecting more of a robust flavor profile but it was still okay - that's why we ended up at 3-stars. Nothing outta this world here but the pizzas overall (IMO) look more appetizing than they really are. They are not the best pizza in GR by any means, but I really do like the thin crust - - so you don't feel weighted down with extra bread. And I would entertain going back to get a whole pizza on their menu and give them another shot and see how that goes. read more

Service: they have always had their pizzas ready for me on time! It usually takes around 20 minutes for them to get it ready. Food: I got the Extra Special and it was really good. The crust is on the thin side. Wasn't greasy at all, and the vegetables tasted really fresh (which I think is their selling point). The sausage and pepperonis were delicious. The pizzas are on the the pricey side (this and most others are 14.99, plus tip would eventually add up to around $16/17). For one person, I'd say one pizza would cover two meals. read more

I absolute love this place! It is connected to the market but you can't get to the market from here. I love the vibe of this area! Pizza by the slice or you can order whole pizzas too! They always have a unique selection of slices to try! The classics are also always available like pepperoni and cheese! They have a cooler with drinks and small salads which makes it convenient if your grabbing a quick bite. $2 per slice but they are smaller and thin just FYI. If your feeling adventures and want to try some of the unique combinations it's a great way to do it by getting slices. They also offer subs if your looking for something a little heavier! The team is friendly and the service is fast! Overall this place is a good spot for a quick bite. No seating just a to- go place. But they do have seating along side the other buildings. I was hesitant to try Martha's Pizza after visiting there Deli and Storefront. It seemed almost like they were doing to much. I was wrong. I tried the Pesto Chicken pizza from Marthas. Pesto, Onion, Mushroom and Chicken. They advertise it as a Neapolitan pizza, mine ate more like a bar pie, which isn't a bad thing for me. Thin, crispy pizza, almost no crust but the ingredients are A1. Everything tasted fresh and tasted good. For me this was a personal pizza for dinner, I was full afterwards and probably overate slightly... but sharing with 2 could be an issue if you are both wanting a full dinner. I'll be back soon! ps. Delicious! 25$ (tip included) for a 12 inch pepperoni and 12 inch cheese sticks. Came with a side of marinara. The sauce on the pizza was a tad sweet but not overwhelmingly so. Multiple cheeses used on the cheese sticks, and some herbs too. Much more flavorful than other cheese sticks nearby:) Parking is available out front and on the side, as well as street parking on Union and Lyon. I am kicking myself for not going sooner! When the hubs and I want a freshly made pizza with local ingredients Martha's is our place to go! We usually walk in and order. This time we did the Red Devil-it's one of our favorites! While trying to avoid the usual summertime road construction, my husband and I drove past this wonderful little neighborhood in the Heritage Hills section of Grand Rapids. There is a whole corner that looked absolutely charming, with beautiful storefronts filled with delicious looking food, and outdoor tables filled with happy diners, kids, and dogs. We were on our way to visit a Shawn's mom in Spectrum Heart. Once we finished our visit, we couldn't wait to get back and explore this charming little corner of the world. There are quite a few food offerings on this corner, but we were both looking for a good slice of pizza. So we stopped at Nantucket Bakery, and bought some San Francisco sourdough and a few cookies to take home, and headed directly for Martha's Pizza. There were five different pies ready, so we took one slice of each to try. Wow! The pizza looked great, and smelled even better. But when we discovered how inexpensive the pizza was, we were both worried. How could they possibly make a great pie and charge so little? Once we tried it, we didn't think about it again! This is some seriously great pizza, served with pride and a smile from the young man who has obviously made it. He knew how good it was! The crust is a really good Neopolitan dough that is thin and light, but still perfectly chewy. You know instantly that it has been baked in a stone hearth oven. All the toppings we're great, with just the right proportion of everything. And the sauce.... The sauce was so good! It was full of flavor, with just a little zing to it. And again, it was just the right amount. My favorite slices were the cheese, and the pineapple, ham, and sriracha. The slice of cheese was just perfect simplicity. The sriracha and pineapple and ham slice had the perfect combination of sweet, salty, and spicy. We sat outside in the sunshine eating this wonderful lunch, watching the people and dogs walk by. I have had Martha's takeout as well as stopped in for some quick slices. In my opinion, the pizza is over priced for the quality. The prices match the rest of the Martha options in this building. The few times I came in for slices, the options were average but nothing special. It was kind of a "you get what you get" scenario.
