I stayed to have lunch afterwards with a couple of family members and it was the most fun and so delicious. The sushi and drinks were refreshing, the hostess and our server were so sweet and kind, and the hibachi chef was so spirited and made us the most delicious meals. Not to mention the teddy bear and tote bag customer freebies for the event were so cute! Thank you so much Thai Spice & Sushi for having the team out to perform and for the amazing dining experience afterwards!

Food was heavily cross-contaminated, and leftover meat scraps were scraped into the vegetables before serving. To make matters worse, our party was charged two separate 18% gratuity fees because we split the checks, which made no sense to us. To make matters worse, our appetizers came out after the meat, and one of the appetizer orders was incorrect. After dropping off our food, our waiter disappeared for about 15 minutes. My husband had to flag him down just to get drink refills, order another round of meat, and have our dirty dishes cleared from the table. Once we placed our second meat order, we waited another 15 minutes for just eight pieces of meat, and that was only after my husband had to remind the waiter twice. Because of the constant delays waiting for our food to arrive, we didn't even get to eat our money's worth of the all-you-can-eat option. We spent more time waiting than actually eating. To top it all off, when we asked for the check, it took a long time for the waiter to bring it. After dropping it off, he never came back to collect the payment. We eventually gave up waiting, and my husband had to walk to the front counter just to pay our bill. We've always enjoyed coming to Kim's, which is why this experience was so disappointing. We understand that every restaurant can have an off day, but there was little attentiveness throughout our entire meal despite the restaurant not being busy. Unlimited "non-marinated" beef belly and prime ribeye, and it absolutely hit the spot. One thing that stood out though was that the sushi bar itself was mostly blocked from view by decorations and bottles, so you really couldn't see the fish or prep area. Service started off well. I was seated quickly and the waiter brought menus right away. I asked him whether he preferred the red curry or the Pad Phet, but he mentioned he was new and hadn't tried either dish yet. I ended up going with the Pad Phet because it offered a combo option with chicken, beef, and shrimp. For appetizers, I ordered the Thai spring rolls and seaweed salad. By the time I finished eating, I assumed the seaweed salad had simply been forgotten. Then, while I was trying to flag down the waiter for the check, he returned with the salad and apologized for the delay. To his credit, he acknowledged it right away. There were quite a few small things that individually wouldn't matter much, but together created a worn-down impression: peeling wallpaper in several spots, empty boxes near the entrance and wine storage area, and wine bottles arranged somewhat haphazardly. Even little details--like the obstructed sushi bar and uneven decor--added up to a space that felt less polished than it could be.
