We have always loved Korean BBQ. First had it when I was stationed in Japan and have always tried to find locations where we could have it. The idea of cooking your own meal and not having to clean up after you're done is a delight in itself. We found Two Pocha after a football game and having a lite lunch we were hungry enough to eat a horse. Well, they don't serve horse but they had a great selection of meats to choose from. We tried SEVEN different ones and were happy with each. The side dishes were fantastic if you like Korean food. They had a BBQ paper on the grill when we sat down and the server explained that use of the paper would help keep the meat juicy and prevent it from burning. We had the option to use or NOT! Service was great, we talked with the owner who is a delightful woman and promised her we would be coming back and sending our friends. I'll start by saying I really wanted to completely like this place since I haven't had good Korean BBQ since I left Aurora/Denver, Colorado. Shout-out to Mr. Kim's and Dae-Gee! This place is similar as they bring you a select amount of meat and you grill it at the table. But unlike the aforementioned Korean BBQ joints, Two Pochas falls short, especially in the banchan. I usually can't get enough of that stuff and this time it stayed there untouched. Even the kimchi was not good. There was something that was like half raw potatoes and Miracle Whip. No thanks. I ordered beer because I love Korean beer, first one being a Hite. I asked the waitress if they had any other Korean beers and she said they sure did and brings me a can of Australian beer. Now, I ain't no geography major or nuthin' but Australia isn't a province of Korea. I was gonna send it back but she vanished into thin air as fast as she had appeared with the wrong beer. The meat was good, but I cooked it and seasoned it myself so I can't really commend Two Pocha for that. We asked for bulgogi on our first round of raw meats and we did not get it, we got two orders of pork belly which is ok by me. Overall, the food was OK, service lacked, and the place was not busy when we got there, around 6 pm but lots of dirty tables around us. When I think Korean bbq, I think Gen (kbbq chain) and loud, busy, high turnover of tables, and fast paced staff. Two Pocha offers all of that in a small quaint little restaurant. You get the great all you can eat $29/person and friendly hasty staff in a nice clean restaurant. I drove 30-45 min for this twice and I'll keep recommending it to friends and family. Now only if they can build a location in the NW side of SA, I'm sure they'll be a hit off 1604 and the big expanse. read more

Went to Two Pocha tonight after a KPOT across down was more than 1hr wait. Kristen was there to sit us as soon as we walked in and kept excellent service through out the rest of the time there! Once we decided on AYCE, she brought the sides out and made recommendations on how to pair our foods. We didn't have to wait for our meats at all since she came before we even finished our first round, she asked what we would like next to have it ready for us. She was fast and very friendly. Server did not listen to what we were asking about and went straight to the rules of the menu. Food was like eating from the discount part of the grocery store. Just moved to Texas back in January of 2022, was looking for a good Korean bbq spot and you can't go wrong with coming here. I have to say I like one pocha better. There is more variety at two pocha but the fact that you have to cook with that paper on the grill it makes the meat cook weird. The service was not great at all. The server would even refill our drinks unless we stopped her which she was always walking really fast to ask her. First, our server that has orange hair is kind of rude. We ordered our second round of galbi and she started telling us that the restaurant has a policy that we can only have TWO ROUNDS. We answered that we only had galbi once and she didn't believe us and started looking on our table and asked again if we really did only have one round. Wow. Second, my salad is missing. I let the server know that I didn't receive it and she then again asked if I ordered a salad. Would I ask for it if I didn't order it? Third, the portion of the food is very little, not well marinated and bland. They will give you one piece of sliced pork belly that was cut in half lmao. Grilling on paper sucks. Lastly, the service is very slow. They will wait until you finished eating your small portion of food before you could order more. A waste of time and money. I'd rather eat at home. If you're looking for a place with tasty food and a unique atmosphere this is the spot! Doesn't look like much when you walk by, but this was a hidden gem. Our favorites were the thin sliced brisket, spicy beef, ribeye, and bulgogi (we got medium sliced pork belly but I wish we got the thinly sliced because I don't like the fat as much). Should you chose to cook it yourself, be ready to be working and steaming up as it's an interactive meal over the grill, but there are plenty of other options if you don't want to cook yourself too.
