Our visit was a bit of a mixed bag. Service wasn't particularly friendly, and there seemed to be a bit of a language barrier, which can be frustrating for all parties involved. My husband ordered the chicken teriyaki bowl, and didn't eat most of it. The chicken was thigh meat that wasn't trimmed or cut well at all. There were large pieces with fat and connective tissue still attached, which is unappetizing and was unexpected. Chicken teriyaki is usually grilled breast meat in our experience, so this was a definite let down. The actual sauce on it was ok, but nothing to write home about. I got the sushi burrito with salmon and tuna. It was HUGE, which was awesome, but I was only able to eat half, and sushi doesn't keep well, so half went into the trash, which made me sad. The fish was well cut and portioned well and there was a good balance of veggies, rice, and meat. It did need more sauce, and there were very, very large pieces of cilantro stem in it that I had to keep picking out, which wasn't pleasant and was a little annoying. I would get it again, but I might have to ask for no cilantro, which would be a shame because I love it. Overall, I would only come back if it was just me so I could get a sushirito.

    Tonkatsu ramen

I just bought ramen to go and paid for an additional green onion and additional egg yet got home with no extra egg in the dish. I also asked for no fish cake and the pork belly is overcooked to the point of being dry. When I tried to call, the phone seems to be disconnected so I had to drive a full twenty minutes back to get this straightened out.

Highly recommend this place! The ramen was so delicious and the service was amazing very sweet workers! Very nice place to enjoy lunch.

Everytime I come, I love it here. Great sized portions of ramen and delicious. The poke bowls are mainly what I get and it's wonderful, always ask for sauce on the side. customer service is great and the food always comes out in an appropriate timely manner depending on how crowded it is. They do have limited seating for when it's busy but just take it to go. I love this place!

Love this place the servers are friendly the food is always fresh and delicious just wish they had boba drinks like the other location. Feels nice and calm inside nothing too crazy.

Great ramen spot! The food comes out so quickly and it tastes great. I love that they have so many drink options available, and the menu was very easy to navigate making ordering a breeze. The service was good, staff seem very kind. I would definitely return here again as it's in a great area with lots of other awesome stores around.

I recommend looking on Yelp or the window of the restaurant before entering. You order first then find an open seat. The seating area is small but can accommodate a few large groups (4+). Expect a long line during the weekends around lunch. They offer a wide variety of food from ramen, rice bowls, noodles, poke bowl, sushi burritos and Japanese appetizers. The ramen broth that you should try are shoyu and miso. We like the pork chashu with our ramen. It comes with one semi hard boiled egg. It is on the pricier side at main entrees priced from $10-13. Overall, we would return to this restaurant. The ramen noodles were good and the broth was flavorful.

If you are in Selma and looking for the best ramen in Town you should visit this place. The broth is warm tasty, creamy. To have ramen you need to be hungry because it's a big bowl. The big bowl Have eggs, corn, meat, mushroom.

This place serves amazing ramen. My son and I cannot get enough. Prices vary with order and add-ons. They have a decent selection of cold drinks available. Takeout orders are packaged well. They put the broth in its own container, so the noodles don't get soggy. The rest of the ingredients are in their own container - easy to put together and chow down. Dine-in orders are delivered smoking hot. The portion size is fairly large. They have forks available at the front counter and chopsticks at the table. Most tables seat 2-4 people. The food is so good. We love ordering from them and highly recommend you give them a try.

2 protein poke bowl with half rice, half salad

I've had this place on my list of places to try for a while, so I finally got around to it, and I wasn't entirely disappointed. If we could do 1/2-star ratings I'd give it more of a 3.5/5. With your ramen/poke options in SA being pretty slim, this place was pretty decent, and I would go back again. Food ratings: - 2-protein poke bowl (3/5): I chose 1/2 rice, 1/2 salad, spicy tuna and spicy salmon, snow crab salad, edamame, mango, onion, scallion, and seaweed salad, and for my sauces I chose ponzu, soy sauce, eel sauce, and spicy mayo. Portion size seems generous, and the fish was fresh. I wish they had a more traditional Hawaiian-style classic ahi tuna option. - Chashu pork belly ramen w/tonkatsu broth (3/5): The broth wasn't as creamy or thick as ones I've had elsewhere (it was pretty thinned/almost seemed slightly watery), and the noodles were a little over cooked for my taste, but the pork belly was tender and super flavorful, and the egg was better than ones I've had anywhere else in this city so far. Service was okay. You order at the front and then sit wherever you'd like, and they bring out your food to you. There's a variety of drinks in their coolers (a lot of yummy Asian drinks also!), and if you want boba, there's a boba shop next door. Overall, it's worth trying and definitely not a bad place to go back to visit if you're in the area and craving ramen, poke, or Asian food.

    Egg Rolls

Stopped in here on a weekday for lunch. Casual take-out style, walk up order get a number, seat yourself. Overall I wasn't impressed by the food. Although it met the craving the prices were a little high, service was lacking, and overall wished for a better atmosphere. The decor was all over the place, the walls had cracks in their paintings, it was just unsightly. Food wise: Ramen noodles seemed frozen, broth was okay but not anything special, their cashu was over cooked. Their table side hot oil was old and stale. Kimchee salad had good spice, but was a weird lettuce combination. Egg rolls were prefrozen spring rolls, not what I expected and they were store bought. Sushi burrito was good and I liked that I could build my own. Little too much rice on outside, but they filled it well with the protein. Wish we would have been given water, and that the staff talked a little louder, music made it hard to hear when ordering. Probably won't go back.

First timer tonight. Zero customer service here and will not return. Uncertain what the tip option is for.

She knew portion sizes, flavor profiles, and made sure we were happy with food selections. Ambiance: place is trendy. Decor was really nice and the place felt welcoming. My spouse and I could converse in a regular level and never felt as if we needed to shout to be heard. Food: Delicious! We opted for the 7 course prefix meal and it didn't disappoint. We added the shrimp and Brussels sprouts appetizer (which we took home). As this was our first time, we don't realize they had different menus. Everything we had was phenomenal. We will be back. But once we sat down, it made sense. Everything is made to order, and you can taste the difference. There was only one server handling the entire floor, and when a rush hit all at once, it definitely got busy fast. But here's the thing... she handled it with grace. Even when you could tell she was juggling a lot, she stayed attentive, kind, and kept checking in on us. That kind of effort deserves recognition. Now let's talk about the real star of the show... The Texas French Toast. Oh. My. Goodness. Thick, golden, perfectly cooked slices topped with homemade whipped cream and fresh berries that tasted like they were picked that morning. It wasn't just good, it was indulgent in the best way. Sweet without being overwhelming. Rich but balanced. I couldn't even finish it (which says a lot), and happily boxed the rest up. The only regret? I ate all the berries first. Rookie mistake. My husband ordered one of the hash plates and said it was solid comfort food... hearty, flavorful, and filling. He couldn't finish his either, so I'm definitely sneaking a few bites later. Overall, we left impressed. The food feels intentional. The flavors feel thoughtful. It's the kind of local spot you want to root for. And the fact that they serve pork lumpia for lunch? Say less. We'll be back for that. If you're looking for a cozy, made-from-scratch brunch spot in Universal City, this one is worth the wait. Good food takes time, and this place proves it. ***This review is based on my taste buds. We split the fried shrimp platter and the shrimp etouffee (with dirty rice instead of white rice). The food was delicious. We went around 4pm on a weekday, so it was practically empty, but the atmosphere and vibe inside was incredible. I loved the nautical theme. They were playing a lot of rap music which was funny since we saw elderly people eating there who probably thought that was odd. I assume the nighttime vibe is lively and much different. And the restroom was not the cleanest there, even with an empty restaurant. But other than that, I'd recommend everyone go visit and enjoy!

We selected the Mr Crabby boil - pretty standard, 1/2 lb king crab (2 legs) 1/2 snow crab legs (1 set of legs), 1 snow crab claw ( one set claw plus legs), 2 pieces of corn, 4 pieces of sausage, 4 small red potatoes. The crab was cooked fine, the claw meat was a little overcooked but the corn itself was soft / soggy and overcooked. The drinks weren't bad at all, a hurricane and a vodka soda. The server had the crab crackers in their back pocket, not what I would consider clean especially with a $100+ boil that I'm about use them on and the final bill was $180 after tax, before tip. If I would have known l that I'd be paying $100 per person to spilt a boil and one drink each, I would have gone to Smashing Crab, SAT Asian, a Pappadeaux and spent probably a good amount less. Very disappointed given the surprise price point: talk about sticker shock and an average dining experience.
