    Chicken street taco

The food is good but they raised thier prices to a riculous amount. $2 for a plain no frills small chicken street taco. See photo. They just lost a long time customer.

20 tacos for $20! Why not!!!! So we got 5 beef, 5 chicken, 5 barbacoa, and 5 pastor. And a beef torta with French fries. All was delicious. Not the best I've ever had- could use a bit more seasoning on the meat. But pretty good for Terrell, TX. I'd rather visit this little Mexican restaurant any day over those bigger Tex-mex restaurants. These were street tacos, but still very filling. We liked everything but the chicken the least. Service was very nice and fast. They let me sample some barbacoa because I was unsure if I wanted it. Barbacoa and shredded beef were the favs. I LOVED the grilled jalapeños! It was spicy and was a perfect addition. It also came with grilled onions on the side. The green chile sauce at the was good. I wish they had the red chile sauce too. The Fresh kind, not the store bought chile sauces . Torta was good. 4/5 rating. Still not the best. But still satisfying. I really wish the flour tortillas were fresh though. Overall. Still a great find for this small town.

20 for $27 taco platter, oh so good

Got the 20 tacos for $27 and a couple of gorditas and we were more than full with leftovers for home. Sooo good, I preferred the corn tortillas for my tacos, my husband preferred flour, both very tasty regardless. Will be returning!

Visuals: Two Jalapeno Tacos is a hole-in-the-wall restaurant. Their store sign looks faded, so there is a high chance of driving pass it. If so, it's a must-drive back and eat here! Parking might be a problem when the restaurant gets busy. The restaurant furnishings were basic- just tables and chairs, no booths. They do have a two hanging tvs to watch the new or soap opera when eating though. Food: Their menu provides many options to choose from- crispy or soft tacos, enchiladas, tamales, etc. My boyfriend and I ordered their Combo Plates. For my dish, I ordered Chicken Enchilada with chili sauce and pastor soft taco with rice and beans. The chicken enchilada was dry. I was expecting shredded chicken but it was more of a grounded chicken texture. The pastor taco was delicious and flavorful. My boyfriend ordered a beef enchilada with chili sauce and barbacoa soft taco with rice and beans. The beef enchilada was the better of the two enchiladas. The grounded beef tasted a lot better than the chicken. The barbacoa soft taco was good too. Personally, I liked my dish a lot better than my boyfriend's. Drinks: Aside from your normal soda selections, Two Jalapeno Tacos does offer horchata, cranberry juice, and tamarind drink options. You can sample the drinks, so don't hesitate to ask! Both my boyfriend and I ordered the horchata! It was so refreshing! I'd definitely recommend it! Service: There's no hostess or waiter, so orders were made at the counter. It was a simple process. The overhead menus were easy to read. The cashier was very friendly and helpful. Our food was made and served quickly. Overall, my dining experience was enjoyable. If I'm traveling through East Texas, I will definitely drop by again!

Everything was amazing! This was our first time coming here and we will definitely be back anytime we are in the area. The tacos are cooked/spiced perfectly the way street tacos should be. They came with all of the toppings that should be there and a side of cheese (we didn't use). All three salsas were very good and the one that came with chips had a good spice to it. The rice and beans are really good too. Yelps directions to the restaurant from the freeway are weird though. It takes u past the turn to make a u turn, which is unnecessary there is a little street u can turn right before the restaurant.

They always have great food, I just wish it would have came without the hair:/ very disappointed! Cheese Enchilada

THE AL PASTOR CORN TORTILLA TACOS... get them. They're packed with flavor and greasy just like a good street taco should be.

Food: Chicken fried steak/ Grilled pork chop there were no complaints. Good portions for the cost and definitely seemed fresh. Even the sides were delicious and fresh tasting. And whenever we take a drive like that, we make it our mission to find a highly rated local lunch spot. This one was on the way home and looked promising, so in we went. I will say this for Texas. Onion rings are everywhere here, far more than when I lived in California. I will happily take that as a win, because the heat for about nine months of the year is not my jam. Sadly, the onion rings were not listed as one of the many sides (so we couldn't get them as a side with our meal), but we ordered them as an appetizer ($8.99 I think) with blue cheese dressing. I am not a ranch girlie, and I stand by that choice. The blue cheese had huge chunks in it, which makes me think it might be house made (bonus point!). Now, the rings. I am firmly Team "Battered" Onion Ring over Team "Breaded", and these absolutely delivered on the team battered. They were almost chicken-fried, -- super craggly, crispy, and deeply satisfying. These were the star of the meal, so do yourself a favor and order them - but you need a friend to share them with, its a heavy portion. They also have great lunch specials, most around eleven dollars. I got the pot roast with two sides, refried beans and mashed potatoes with gravy. After indulging in the onion rings, I was not exactly starving, so I ended up with enough leftovers for another full meal. The pot roast was nicely shredded and tender, and the gravy was rich, flavorful, and worth every calorie. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak, (he's obviously on a diet!), with fried okra and mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was forgettable, but everything else on his plate was solid. Service was friendly and efficient, and this place definitely fills up at lunch, so plan accordingly. A very good roadside stop, and proof that sometimes the best meals happen when you are just out running errands.

Plus another ONE STAR, for a DOUBLE ONE STAR Rating. Yep, you earned it! The Caldo de Res is not that good, and the serving size is smaller than Arboledas of Rockwall, for the same price? The potatos were green, and one chunk of cabbage was old. The beef was low quality cut with hard grissle. So, I ordered a TORTA CUBANA from the menu. I asked the young lady waitress if they put Carne Milanesa in it, she said yes they do. What came out was a bad joke. The "milanesa" was old meat just put in microwave. Was like a thin leather. I took out the 7 small pieces, to make sure it was not just one bad piece...all were the same. I showed the young waitress...she just looked like Oh Well... I asked for the owner, she said they don't live here, and hardly come. Old meat like this is illegal to serve to humans. La carne pasada hace dano a los clientes! I paid the bill, and keep the receipt. I came here after reading Google Maps Reviews 4.2 's. I eat a lot of places, in USA, outside USA. 4.2 Star rating and such bad quality? The french fries that came with the torta cubana were actually very good. So, I was driving away, next block I saw two cats in front of a thrift store. I threw the milanesa to the cats, not even the cats would eat the Cowboy milanesa!

Apparently I accidentally requested the "garden fresh surprise" edition because it showed up packed with lettuce and tomatoes. No big deal, mistakes happen. I politely let the server know, expecting the standard "Oops, we'll fix that." Instead, I got hit with the customer service equivalent of a UFC uppercut: "Yeah, that's what you said." After explaining again that I specifically said ONLY, I was then informed they'd have to charge me for an entirely new burrito if they corrected it. Over lettuce and tomato. Not because I ate the whole thing. Not because I changed my mind halfway through. Simply because their version of quality control is apparently "good luck everybody." The best part? Rather than fixing the burrito, offering literally any solution, or attempting basic conflict resolution, they just let me walk out. Imagine losing a customer over shredded lettuce. That's commitment to the principle. I didn't even get to try the actual food, although based on the chips and salsa, I'm not sure I missed a life-changing culinary experience. To be fair, I wasn't rude, I wasn't demanding, and I fully understand mistakes happen in restaurants. But if your first response to a simple correction is "pay for another one," then maybe the problem isn't the burrito. Mariachi taught me an important lesson today: apparently "only" is just a suggestion. Do Better
