If I had to sit and listen to my boyfriend rant and rave about Two Frogs Grill and how he wanted me to eat there so I could try and duplicate the recipes at home one more time, I was going to lose my darn mind. So on one of our first trips to Ardmore, Two Frogs it was. Let's just say I don't blame him for ranting and raving anymore. At all. No hard feelings. No judgement. Total forgiveness. Because holy crap. Guys. If you order absolutely jack diddly squat except for two things on their entire menu, get their honey mustard (I guess you can add a salad or side of chicken if you like) and their homemade apple dumplings. You're welcome. I always get their grilled chicken with a side of honey mustard (and the salad needs honey mustard too, of course). Their honey mustard is just...so....honey-mustardy. It's so. Good. It's not really creamy, it's not really a vinaigrette, it's unlike any honey mustard I've ever had. And it's freaking bomb. Get it. Their apple dumplings? I'm pretty sure people have died for them. A moment of silence please for those who have fallen into the dumpling sauce. ".............." Ok. Anyways. Fresh apple slices, super thick, doughy dumpling around the amazingness, and the sauce is like a cream-cheesy type...thing. I don't know. But it's amazing. The ambience is.....interesting. It takes some getting used to. Another reviewer mentioned that you have to get past the rock-n-roll/strip-club ambience. That's a pretty articulate way of saying it. That, or a restaurant version of Christian Grey's Red Room. Whatever floats your boat. The colors are red and black. REALLY red and black. Like. It's everywhere. It's got a very "clubby" vibe to it, and yet it's 100% family friendly. There's kids and people from all walks of life sitting around in one building. They have a stage for live bands (and for those sitting in the bar area, there's a camera facing the stage that they feed to a TV over the bar), as well as autographed guitars everywhere. We stopped in at 6:30 pm. Road weary , traveling all day. Our hotel recommended this restaurant. Parking lot full. The waitstaff greeted us at the door like we were special. There were several large group tables full of people. The waitress was so friendly we liked her and interacted with grins when she try to take my salad plate too quickly. Large plate of shrimp and catfish hit the spot. Apple dumpling with ice cream was special. Lots of families coming and going and a live band to close out the late evening with a live show . The owner stopped by and visited. He made time for us and our many questions about the history of the two frogs. We will have to come again and stay longer for a show. read more

Thank God there's somewhere in the world where Covid doesn't exist. I'm not sure if this holds for all of Oklahoma but clearly at the two frogs Grill Covid Has been cured. None of the serving staff wear masks much less gloves. Our server had absolutely no problem taking the limes off of one guests plate and handing them directly to a person in our party. They washed the table next to is with it Windex instead of any kind of sanitizing solution. They are using plastic covered menus and clearly don't get washed very often. And they packed that place full to the brim. No options for social distancing absolutely no precautions being taken anywhere. It was really disappointing. The food was mediocre at best, My shrimp were so tough that I had to chew them for a few minutes before I could get them to go down. If I had had my own vehicle and was riding with somebody else, there is no way in hell I would've come into this place voluntarily after seeing the lack of seriousness with which they are taking a worldwide pandemic. They could and should do better. Keeping patrons safe should be priority one. read more

Stopped here as part of a job interview. Wasn't expecting much more than the normal Oklahoma fare. Extremely surprised by the chicken fried steak.got two vegetables for sides, carrots and green beans! Absolutely delicious. The surroundings are a mix between restaurant and night club with pictures of various artists adorning the walls. There is a small stage for live music that was vacant at lunch today but makes me want to come back (soon) and enjoy some live music. The waiter was friendly and vet y prompt. Ate here tonight...wasnt sure what i was getting into, but i was pleasantly surprised. The service was top notch, they knew their menu, specials, sides, and deserts. Very clean. Live band (blues), but not while i was there. Was probably too early. I ordered the fried fish platter, and a blooming, fried onion and salad (very fresh) first though. Very generous portions. Had so much, i took half with me. A bunch of catfish, four huge fried shrimp, and two jumbo frog legs, rice and red beans. Beans were slow cooked and outstanding. Place was quick to seat me. Service was prompt, friendly and helpful. I ordered the catfish fillets extra crispy, loaded bp, slaw, voodoo shrimp and hush puppies. They were ALL prepared perfectly and all were hot and looked appealing, it tastes even better than it looked! Their dinner roll that came with the meal was hot fresh and excellent with real butter. In Ardmore, OK for a family reunion and came to Two Frogs to celebrate an aunt's birthday. We went here just based off the signs we saw on the highway, so we were taking a chance. I looked it up on my Yelp app on my phone and there was only one saying the ribs were good. Not a lot of help, but off we went anyways! Lots of options on the menu. Started out with chips and salsa. The salsa tasted homemade and was good. My sister and I split the chicken fried steak but got our own sides. Was really good. Not really huge, so each of our portions was small but that worked out for the better as we had appetizers and a salad to start. They had homemade croutons that were great...was sad they didn't sell them too. :( Our service was, eh, ok. Nothing to brag about. BUT, we had a kid table with 6 kids (ages 9-4) and they got better service with a different waiter. He was amazing...went around to each of them and squeezed the ketchup on each of their plates. We stopped for dinner while passing through OK on 11/1/19 at about 9:30. The food was decent and our waiter was great. We sat in a booth right by the kitchen and could hear the staff talking which is no big deal except one young lady was cussing pretty loudly. In less than a hour we heard her say "whoever threw my cup away, your mom is a ho" "God d***" "what the f***" "s**t" and "I almost grabbed your a**". I'm not sure if there was no manager/supervisor around or if she just watched her language when they were around?? Very unprofessional. Two Frogs is a really interesting place with delicious ribs and crawfish. When visiting friends in Ardmore last weekend, they suggested going here for dinner. The name sounds a bit like it will be a kids' restaurant, and the decor goes completely the other direction to show the owner's love of music. His superb collection of guitars was really cool to see, and there is also a stage for live bands. Although the place wasn't my normal type of scene, I was really impressed by the food! The Onion Thing starter was fantastic, and I really liked that the mains came with salads AND the choice of two sides. My boyfriend and I split the special of ribs and crayfish, which we upgraded from fried crayfish to the Cajun spice version, and we also added voodoo crayfish tails. The food was really delicious and blew me away, and the portions were plentiful so we were happy we shared the dish. Although we didn't have dessert, we were all ogling over the fact that cotton candy is actually a dessert on the menu! I think the best thing about this place were the tender ribs and the Cajun spice crayfish, and the waitress was also incredibly attentive re-filling our glasses continuously. I came here on my way to Dallas and was extremely impressed with their service. I had the frog legs which were pretty good. Also they give you a very large amount of food here. I probably won't come back because nothing really grabbed my attention but overall it was a good experience. The fries we were served were ice cold to start. Upon replacement they were much better. The single shrimp skewer I got was lukewarm at best and cold at worst. The rice pilaf was fine as where the green beans. Service was decent but not outstanding. The highlight of this meal was the cotton candy. There was a birthday at our table and so we got a free cotton candy, and the cotton candy was MASSIVE. If you're in Ardmore on travel and it's your birthday, the cotton candy alone is worth stopping for. Great place to stop if ur passing through. Sweet atmosphere- looks like they occasionally have live music although they didn't while we were there. Rents and I were passing through. Tried out a burger and the ribs which were all great considering we were going to just stop at a whataburger. This was far better, and reasonably priced for what we got. They had quite a few seafood options as well as a variety of side items. Caution for vegetarians... Ur side salad comes w bacon (which I, not being vegetarian, greatly appreciated). Service was on top of it. In fact we wished it would have been worse considering how much of our road trip we had left and how many sodas we all drank. After arriving in Ardmore last night due to an unplanned detour on our trip, we popped into Two Frogs grill for late dinner. I knew it was going to be a good experience as I walked in past the stage set up for live performances and noticed the autographed guitars lining the wall. Not really even knowing what type of food was served, we stopped here partially because the parking lot was jam packed. Upon first glance, the menu is a hodge podge of items with lots of variety. However, the general theme I would say is Cajun. To start the night off I had the cloud nine martini which was basically a bourbon cocktail in a martini glass. The dish I settled on was fettuccine alfredo with blackened chicken which was to die for. I hardly ever finish an entire bowl of pasta but this dish called for just that. The entrée was also served with a salad. The salad came with your choice of dressing and our server came around with fresh ground black pepper which makes every salad better. The entrée was also served with soft, flaky, delicious rolls and butter. I am a connoisseur of sorts when it comes to bread and these rolls are in my top three of all time. That is quite an honor because there is some fierce competition in the fresh baked bread world. My mother had the shrimp trio dinner special and she said it was fantastic too. She had a side of the glazed baby carrots which were the most flavorful carrots I've ever had in my life (I had to steal a bite). The carrots were cooked in a sweet cinnamon flavored sauce. The food was great, but the best part of the evening was the great service which is difficult to come by these days and the live music. Usually you have to go to a bar or concert venue to get good live music, but tonight we had a great meal with high quality service and a smoke-free, fun atmosphere to enjoy the show. In the future, I might have to make a special trip to Ardmore just to eat here again or at the very least stop by anytime I'm on the way to Dallas. read more

What a shock, not only to find ANY such place, but to discover that it was really VERY good! Our assumptions in Ardmore, Oklahoma were somewhat low and upon entering we expected the food to be marginal at best. After being very kindly greeted and served quickly our food blew away our expectations. The atmosphere was great with lots of classic rock memorabilia and posters from some great bands and artists that have played there over the years including 38 special and Willie Nelson. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the cotton candy mountain was a fun and unique item that none of us had ever seen. For Ardmore, it was a real surprise while just passing through. It's been a very long time since I had been to Two Frogs until my recent visit. I vaguely remembered the rock and roll theme, but that was about it. I was happy to return during a work trip to Ardmore. I was craving catfish but was also trying to be somewhat healthy. Luckily they offered a charbroiled catfish, and it was really good. I like that the entrees come with a salad and two sides. It's so nice to have that included as opposed to paying more for something that costs the restaurant very little. The salad had what I'm assuming were homemade croutons as well, very tasty along with the dinner rolls. Our server was very attentive. I liked that the restaurant felt like something from the past, but was clean and didn't feel old and dingy. I was overall happy with everything, but would definitely like to try to more of the Cajun style of the menu. When I'm back in the area, I'd be glad to return and try some other items. read more
