Reserved ahead of time by text at 11:58am for party of 8/26 parties ahead of mines. Confirmed at 1pm arrival and informed eatery parties were behind expect wait between 1:12-1:32pm. Inquired at1:35pm informed another large party ahead of mines. The other party was seated by 2pm. My party was seated by 2:30pm. Waiter seemed disappointed. I explained our situation and the time we waited to be seated and served. Food was okay but, the call ahead was not honored.Closing time is at 3pm. All employees including the bar, DJ, bussers,window washers and moppers cleaned around our table while we ate. We didn't feel welcomed, comfortable or appreciated as guests. read more

We tried coming for breakfast during the weekend but there was a line outside the door, which is typically a good sign, so we looked forward to getting in when we could. That chance came during the week and impressively enough they were busy and we still had a brief wait. The restaurant interior in no way matches the exterior and was actually quite upscale and very clean. The food was good too but with a few drawbacks. On the plus side, we had some good coffee with some very tasty Breakfast Tacos. On the lower end of things were the Beignets with a strawberry sauce. They were adequate but nothing special. There were two other issues with the food, and one connected to a bigger problem. I ordered, what was supposed to be, a Corned Beef Hash Eggs Benedict with Greens and it was very enjoyable except for some bits of old, wilted, black and slimy spinach and lettuce leaves. The second problem with my meal, which then connects to the biggest overall, was that I didn't receive what I ordered, twice. And that is all connected to the service. The service was not good at all from anybody. No smiles to go with the false pleasantries. Our drinks slammed onto the table as the server headed to another table. Questions thrown out in the same way and you've no time to answer before she's gone. The only time we got a smile was when I sent back my meal because I received the wrong thing, which was then fussed over for a bit, and my new meal was still wrong-my eggs were now scrambled(?) instead of poached-but I couldn't be bothered to correct it. Overall I'd say it's a nice place with a good menu but the service isn't good enough to make up for any additional drawbacks. We shall not return. read more

I'll save you the trouble of reading my novella. The food is fantastic. The music is guaranteed to induce nostalgia, especially for the grown and sexy. Not a single complaint there. The original breakfast spot I looked at last night wasn't open this morning despite hours advertised to the contrary. Most importantly, today was the day for my LCSW exam*! It's a big deal, and not the sort of thing to do on an empty stomach. Two Eggs stepped up in a big way. Not bad for a place managed by a damn devil dog**! I came in starving and uncertain as to what I should get. A young lady at the front greeted me with a warm tone and a quick invitation to follow her to my seat. The gracious woman with the smile (I obviously couldn't see it with the mask, but I could just feel it was there) knew the menu. I told her I was starving, and she met my hunger where it was. She described the Dutch Baby Pancake. I ordered it and a side of chicken sausage. I'd never even heard of such a thing, but man, am I glad I got it! It had a delicious custard inside/bottom with a slightly crispy top. Sweet blueberries swam in a tart pool of lemon curd. I will be back. There were quite a few things I wanted to try on the menu, but time wouldn't permit. Two Eggs did a fantastic job of righting the ship today when things started out a bit off course. This place used to be the best brunch option in the McDonough area but it should be avoided like the plague on the weekends because they've added a DJ. The place is very small and the DJ has it cranked way up, like FRI-SAT night at the club volumes. During our 40 minute wait for food today I downloaded a decibel meter and the volume was bouncing from 82db to 89db which was too loud to hold a conversation. Two weeks ago, I noticed a new eatery named Two Eggs in McDonough. Today I was in the mood for some brunch and stopped by and I'm glad that I did. The atmosphere was delightful, and the staff was as friendly as it could be; when I asked our server a question about the history of Two Eggs she turned around and said, Mom there a person who wants to talk with you... which was music to my ears as to know a mom and pop restaurant will have good food. My Uncle Benny (eggs benedict) was very tasty, and my home fry style potatoes was prepared just the way I like them, a nice golden crispy on the outside and nice and soft on the inside. Two Eggs is a great addition to McDonough and is a great place for brunch anytime of the day. Dined in with some sister friends a couple of Saturdays ago and this place never disappoints! From the warm hostess, to the awesome server, the spectacular DJ, and the hot, delicious, and accurate food orders; Two Eggs McDonough is a five star! Each of us ordered different items on the extensive menu and each of us left satisfied and full!!! Restroom was clean, entire restaurant is clean. This was my 4th time there & it's all consistent. 8/10 Vibes only. Completely unprepared for the holiday crowd with an incredibly inefficient waitlist protocol. I was dismissed at the Conyers location after an issue with their waitlist website. I called McDonough and was told if I made the drive, I would be seated shortly (party of 5). Three hours later we are still waiting. The location os small and should do literal reservations because they don't have the capacity to handle parties over 3-4 guests in a space at a time. Update. Once this location understood how dismissive the hostess at the Conyers location was they were very apologetic and accommodating. They will be moving to a bigger location soon. read more

Decided to try this spot out since I heard such great things about it and i'm happy to say that everything I heard was absolutly true. The food Is amazing. The blueberry pancakes are mind-blowing. I also enjoyed my flight of mimosa's, my flavors were (orange grapefruit, pineapple and mango). Super creative and fun. Oh and I can't forget the music! The music was bomb, I was literally dancing the whole time I was eating lol. The reason im giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because of all the gnats and flies. I do NOT do flies, especially when im eating. That was a huge turn off for me. I was sitting at the bar so I asked the waitress was there anything we could swat the fly with or kill it cause it had been flying around our food the whole time we were trying to eat, and and she said no, the fly came in when their truck arrived that morning. This place is the real deal. Best place I've been to for breakfast on the southside and I love that its Black owned. We came in for Sunday brunch around 12something, there was a 45 to 60minute wait but honestly it didnt take that long, we were seated in about 30 minutes or so. The staff was very friendly and although I saw a sign about being short staffed, I honestly couldnt tell. Our waitress was great, she was speedy but we never felt rushed. The vibe was what I call grown and chill. They had great 90s & 2000s R&B playing, not too loud so you could still carry on a conversation. We started off with the beignets which were AMAZING! light, fluffy and wonderful . We also ordered the fish and grits, the crab eggs benedict as well as some french toast. All the food was perfectly seasoned, honestly I've never had grits so good. It didnt need any extra butter or salt or anything. Absolutely perfect. All of the food was on point. Starting with the decor, it had a cool vibe with a DJ. At first he was playing background type music at a moderate level, then he switched to loud club music. That made having a conversation difficult. They really packed the restaurant making it too close for my comfort. Our waiter was nice and our food arrived quickly. I loved the pancakes and my eggs were a perfect over medium. I ordered a Dutch baby to go, I've never tried one before but it was soggy and bland.
