Hello! This location has reopened. Apparently it was a change in ownership and it took a year + to sort it out!! But they're back with a twist... Chocolate crinkle cookie, peanut butter and Nutella, lemon tart, banana cream, swizzle sugar, and chocolate chip cookies were all purchased today. Also, pina colada smoothie, mango smoothie, Arnold Palmer, Dr. Knieval, and Stop Staring soda! All delicious! Everyone was so excited that it was reopened. I actually really enjoy twisted sugar. But I do think that all of the employees need to be on the same page and educated correctly. I asked a simple question of "what cookies do you have gluten free" and the girl working took a second asked the girl working with her what she had gluten free. She proceeded and said that they carry all gluten free. For some people being gluten free is a choice. We were getting gluten free because of a disease. We ended up getting a cookie that was clearly not gluten free and is now causing health issues. We are very annoyed to say the least. read more

We were craving some locally made cookies, this spot popped up so we gave this a try. AMBIANCE: Parking: Plaza parking, it wasn't too busy so you shouldn't have issues find parking. Seating: Inside seating with room for about 20 people, small groups preferred. Feels: It's in the outskirts of Downtown Spokane thus it's a pretty calm place and spaced with businesses and homes. The spot itself is pretty nice. I enjoyed the simple design to it. The place was clean that had minimal home designs from the plants, lime color aesthetics, and the pillows to rest. Great place to catch up with a friend or just to study. FOOD: Chocolate Chip Cookie (Recommend) Soft texture (almost like cookie dough) and a reasonable size. I enjoyed the balance of dough and chocolate chips. Twisted Sugar (Recommend) Had to try the cookie with the name of this place. It was pretty delightful. I liked the fresh lime provided, the subtle sweetness of the sugar cookie, and the pleasant creaminess o the icing. This was a true delight. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Great! Today is the 2nd time I've been here. The first time was not long after the grand opening & it was packed & loud & it wasn't my vibe for getting cookies in the afternoon lol today is my son's birthday & he's not a fan of cake, so I thought I'd try Twisted Sugar again & do some fancy cookies as a cake alternative. I was there at probably 3:45 and there was a woman and her son as the only other customers. Waaaay more my vibe haha the cashier was so nice and we had a nice friendly conversation. My 6 pack of cookies were ready so fast! I didn't get to eat any while they were still warm, I just ate the May special Butter Caramel I believe it was, it is super sweet & crumbly. I picked the cotton candy & sprinkles for my son and he didn't care for the frosting. I also got a couple peanut butter but haven't tried them. I didn't get a smoothie this time, which I remember I did get the 1st time & now I'm kind of regretting it because I do remember liking the smoothie! Good cookies! I picked up a box of four- peanut butter Nutella, lemon sugar, chocolate chip, and red velvet (cookie of the month). The style seems to be doughy and slightly underbaked which I LOVE. The frostings were all really good; I'd like to see cream cheese frosting make a repeat appearance. They nailed the peanut butter cookie base- lots of great peanut butter flavor with a hint of salt. The chocolate chip cookie could've used more chocolate chips, and I think they use milk chocolate which is actually my preference! This was my first time going but I'll definitely come back. read more

My wife and I stopped in here today to try some cookies. This is a very new business; everything is clean and bright; it was very busy with a line out the door. We tried six different cookies; Lemon sugar, Salted Carmel Sugar, SugarDoodle, PB Nutella, Lemon Tart and the Banana Cream. After sampling all six, we were both of the same opinion that three of the cookies were undercooked; I would surmise there are a few operational details to iron out as a new business. Cute cookie and soda fountain spot that is really busy, probably due to it being new. Waited for about 15 minutes for our order, but there is ample seating (maybe thirty seats or so) and a fireplace. Getting a six pack of cookies (~$14) is a good deal if you end up getting more of the "indulgent" cookies which are more expensive individually than the basic cookies. Got the banana creme (my favorite, tastes like a mini icebox pie), cookies and cream, raspberry lemon (looks like omirice lol), crinkle, nutella on a pb cookie, and the classic twister. The classic twister has a lime you sprinkle onto the cream cheese-tasting frosting. The crinkle was like eating a fudgy brownie--not what I expected for some reason. The cookies' bases were seemingly (and purposefully?) semi-baked so they reminded me of cookie dough, which was yummy but also pretty heavy haha they pack the frosting on thick so be prepared for a really sweet treat. I ate them in quarter portions as dessert over the next few days and they surprisingly held up, except the crinkle cookie which hardened within a day. The piña colada smoothie (~$5 for a large) feels like a good bang for your buck bc it's a lot of smoothie, but maybe too sweet to enjoy all the way through. They have a bunch of soda mixed drinks that look interesting. Overall, not bad but probably won't be frequenting too often bc the long wait and because my sweet tooth isn't thaat sweet haha. Seems like a perfect treat to share w friends or at the office though! read more

My friend and I walked in the door and weren't greeted. We found the front and looked at the menu which was easy to read. After a couple of minutes someone finally came over to take our order. We got the lemon sugar, lemon tart, sugardoodle and salted Carmel. Cookies were an okay size, but all chilled which was a bummer. The first bite of my sugardoodle was below sub par. It tasted undercooked, flavorless and honestly similar to a protein cookie. The rest were just as unexciting as the first... very little frosting and just bland. Being gluten free often causes me to miss out on all the "good stuff" - but oh my goodness I do not have to miss a good cookie anymore. First of all - when I do come across a restaurant with a gluten free alternative it's usually boring or the same ole stuff, and there's little to no choice. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Twisted Sugar's concept of the cookie not being topped until I order - not only am I able to choose what I want instead of being forced to settle for what they have, but this is SO much more sustainable because there is less waste for the company (and the earth is also thankful for it). A true win-win-win situation. Today I went to Twisted Sugar for the first time and I had the banana cream as GF. Hands down the best cookie of my life. My mom, who was a district manager for a big name cookie shop for many years (and definitely also makes delicious GF cookies), was offended by my excitement over this cookie . I'm glad I didn't order a dozen of them because they would be GONE already and my blood sugar would not be happy with me. I would literally have no self control around these - so if you don't have good self control be mindful of that before ordering. My daughter had a chocolate chip cookie and I didn't get to taste it but it smelled amazing and was nice and thick! She was very happy with her choice. The worker at the counter was helpful and patient with me, my overly excited 5 year old, and my mom reviewing and asking questions about the menu as it was our first time. I didn't even have to ask, since I mentioned that I was getting a GF cookie they assured me that they would package my cookies separately from my mom and daughter's gluten-full cookies. After we were done ordering they immediately stepped to the back to speak with the person preparing our cookies about being mindful of my order being partially gluten free before helping the next customer behind me. I did not ask for any special handling but I greatly appreciate the attention to detail and the care involved and this was just icing on the cookie of why I will be back. Most gluten free cookies are good but definitely not life changing so I came into Twisted Sugar with no expectations. What a fun addition to the South Hill! The cookies are beyond amazing, and taste as good as they look. It is hard to narrow down cookie choices from the selection, so you can do what we did, and order 1 of each :) I loved every one that I tried - the lime wedge was a fun and fresh addition (I can't say that I've ever squeezed lime onto a cookie before!). The chewy texture of the cookies is fantastic and the none of the flavors were too sweet. I am excited to go back and try the drinks. read more

Cookies were decent. Service, not so much. First off, why do you have a drive-thru window if you tell people to pull ahead to order? They asked for my phone number and didn't explain why. I didn't give permission for random texts, guys... I was not offered a receipt, despite using a card to pay. Had to ask. Then I had to wait for them to figure out how to print a receipt, and go across the facility to get it. Cookies were decent. For only 14 dollars they gave me the most Amazing cookies I've laid my eyes and tastebuds upon. The employees like to keep the line moving as much as possible which is great around lunchtime. But there's so much to try outside of cookies though including hand mixed drinks. Better to order ahead of time if you can't wait! read more

They were very busy when my girlfriend and I went, we ordered 6 to try but only got 4 that we ordered and two that weren't what we ordered. The cookies themselves were just ok. Underbaked and kinda just "meh" overall. Toppings were better but still not amazing. We were given a peanut butter cookie instead of one that we ordered and it was cold when we received, coincidentally it ended up being the one we liked best. Overall not the best cookies, but kids will enjoy them at the very least. read more
