I love beard papas! I came to their opening day and have been coming back since :) Their always so kind, they offer a multiple samples, and even bring out your cream puffs. The shop is adorable with an accent wall covered in beard papa and they have cute little gatcha machines. There's tons of seating so bring a group! There hasn't been a flavor I haven't liked :) my go to is the matcha with matcha filling or churro! But I always love trying their seasonal flavors ~ this time there was a Dubai chocolate, raspberry custard, and mango custard! My favorite seasonal flavor was when they did the Mashle collab (an anime) the classic Mashle had me in a choke hold XD I literally got cream puffs once a week. Come try some gourmet cream puffs read more

I recently heard about Beard Papa's through work and after seeing the pictures I knew I had to try it for myself. I placed an order online for pick up and arrived a little early. I was quickly greeted and told my order was almost ready to go--in the mean time I checked out the bright, cheerful and squeaky clean shop. While I waited the owner offered samples, all of which were delish and made me realize I will need to come back soon to try their drinks! I ordered a variety and I am so grateful I did, they are so so yummy! Overall, the owners were incredibly kind, the shop was inviting, the serve was wonderful and the food outstanding! I highly recommend! read more

Beard Papa is one of the best kept secrets of Spokane, and it genuinely shouldn't be. I've had it before in Seattle, so when a location opened here I was so stoked, and I have never been disappointed. The whole shop is set up in a fun, modern style, with plenty of photo-op areas. It's always clean, light, and airy. I love the crane games, which usually have fun, Japanese style rewards. The cream puffs are amazing--I have never had a bad one, and I have had way too many to admit on the internet. There's seasonal flavors monthly, and often cool collabs with Japanese brands. The custard drinks are also incredible. The owners are literally the sweetest people in the world--so thoughtful, and above and beyond every time. I hate that "my" little spot might be blown up with tons of people, but it's too good to not share! read more

Beard Papa's - Raspberry frosting with Oreo custard! Yum - Desserts Near Me - Spokane, Washington

10.13.24: We had to come back after trying Beard Papa's for the first time back in September for a Yelp event. I'm all about consistency and our first time in was so great that I wanted to try it again to make sure it wasn't a hit or miss kinda place. Well let me tell you, the consistency of Beard Papa's cream puffs are definitely there and so is Mark's excellent customer service and attitude. The woman who also works there (wife maybe? I don't want to assume ) is really nice and friendly too. This time around as a dine-in treat, we ordered the Purple Oreo (Oreo custard filling w/ ube and Oreo topping), Churro w/ horchata custard filling, and Cereal filled w/ frozen mango custard. As a take home, we ordered a half dozen of the classic puffs with vanilla custard. My friend also keeps ordering this Oreo custard shake that he says is thick and delicious lasts the entire hour ride home. I love how you can make your own unique custom cream puff that would suit even the people on the pickier side. I enjoy trying the flavors of the month and they're all so different too, not too mention really flavorful. If you love tropical flavors, then the frozen mango custard is worth the try. The purple Oreo is a great catch for Halloween month. The subtlety of the ube mixed with the Oreo makes for a perfect sweet chocolatey goodness. I was surprised with the Churro horchata because I thought the horchata would be more on the plain side. I was totally wrong and the horchata had a great cinnamon and nutmeg flavor combo. We come to town about once a month and Beard Papa's is a place I look forward to stopping at every time! Fyi, they have updated fall hours. read more

Love, love this place!! They have different flavors of cream puff shells with special flavors each month. You pick the shell you want and filling. Each one is filled at time of order, so they are fresh. They also offer shakes, frozen ice cream puffs and various deserts. I got the strawberry puff with green tea filling, honey butter puff with vanilla and a creme brulee. The shells tasted fresh and were just the right consistency to hold in the filling without being hard. The green tea filling was wonderful , it didnt have an artifical taste. The honey butter and brulee were also wonderful. read more

Consistently delicious. I love how their pastries are not to sweet. I love ordering some of their cream puffs for my co workers. The only con is that they don't have one in Coeur d'Alene. read more

OMG this place is the best. I walked in and the young lady greeted us was so kind and helpful. Patient as can be and she needed it with my crew going here for the first time. I tried a regular puff with a mango filling which was drop dead perfect. We all had something different and they were all outstanding. The store had a fantastic atmosphere colorful and bright. Plenty of places to sit comfortably. The fillings you got to pick what you want in them and they will let you taste the filling first so you make a better decision. The types of puffs are unique and perfect eating. I would recommend this place to anyone. A must try. read more

The Staff were very gracious and kind to everyone who walked in the door. The cream puffs were some of the best I ever had. The pastry has a nice crispy outside and was soft on the inside. The cream is just to right amount of sweet in any flavor you get. I highly recommend this place and will be coming back. The Churro and cookies and cream were my favorite. read more

I've always heard great things about Beard Papa's, so I decided to stop by since I was in town. Very friendly workers and nice accessible location with plenty of parking. For the cream puffs, you basically pick the type of eclair, and the flavor of custard you want to pair it with. They have a bunch of different eclair flavors ranging from smores, strawberry, original, Oreo, etc. For the custards, they have several flavors ranging from vanilla, green tea, ube, etc. The combinations are endless. I'm a crème brûlée (ty google for letter accents) kind of guy, so I stuck with the strawberry and original eclair with vanilla custard. Very nice custard base, creamy with the perfect amount of sweetness and vanilla flavor. The ratio of creme to bread is probably 100:1, which I appreciate. I thoroughly enjoyed both pastries! Would recommend. Also, the interior is clean with adequate seating and free wifi. Great spot to hangout with friends. read more

Such a cute little place. Esthetic and welcoming. Really clean. Great staff. Puffs were great. I think they are a lil pricy $4 ish a puff. Also I am not sure if we missed it but didn't see much drink options to go with the puffs. Highly suggest to give this a try. read more

I had a great experience at Beard Papa's! I walked in and said it was my first time so they generously explained how everything works and what flavors were available. We ordered a Mixed 6-Pack consisting of S'mores w/Vanilla Cream, Cookies N Cream w/Chocolate Cream, Honey Butter w/Vanilla Cream, Churro w/Vanilla Cream, Dark Chocolate Valentine w/Raspberry Cream and White Chocolate Valentine w/Raspberry Cream. I was pretty excited about this place considering that as a kid my fave desert was crème puffs or anything with whipped cream honestly. These puffs aren't made with whipped cream, they are more of a custard like cream. They also got soggy very quickly. For me this was no go, however many love them! I personally just prefer whipped cream filling which is light and airy and yummy! In the Bay Area crème puff places have whipped cream in just about any flavor as well! I guess it's the grocery store bakery for me! read more

Beard Papa's - Can't wait for yummy! - Desserts Near Me - Spokane, Washington

We were able to stop by on opening day. They were sold out of two flavors (s'mores and green tea) by the time we got there. We waited for about an hour and hope although it was probably a long day for staff, that it was successful and they got some rest after. We were able to purchase plain, Oreo, and the chocolate fondant. The Oreo was the best in my opinion. Just enough sweet to balance out the custard. It's very full so beware or maybe wear a bib. The chocolate was pretty good but definitely don't put into microwave more than 10 seconds. It had good flavor and paired great with ice cream. Overall very impressed for their first day open and look forward to trying more flavors. Am excited that Spokane Valley is branching out in their food offerings. Would recommend! The vanilla, chocolate, and matcha custard fillings are all indistinguishable and pretty bland. I would add a bit more sweetness and flavoring. I feel like a more delicious custard would make the entire experience more worth the $4 something price for each. "Natural" is great but can we be Tasty too?? read more

It's got a very unique and young people vibe when you walk in. Bright atmosphere and the owners are a friendly married couple. I come here at least once a month, because they always come out with a new custard filling. I've been going here every month for a year and I can say that there isn't a single eclair or filling I have disliked. Just one eclair is enough to satisfy my sweet craving and not feel the need to eat more. I really recommend the frozen mango yogurt filling and the purple Ube custard filling when they have it. If you haven't been here, you are missing out! read more

Ive came here a few times and each time my creme puffs were delicious, and the service was amazing. the people who work here are so kind. I will say, the deserts are on the pricy side.. but I know people willing to pay double that for a coffee. So I don't find going out for a pastry to be much different. It's meant to be a treat. I'd love to see them sell new and different kinds of desserts in the future ; including more filling flavors for the creme puffs :) read more

Was super excited to try these out after seeing the types and reviews online.... But wasn't too impressed for what my boyfriend and I got for the price we paid. The only filling they had was chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla. Indeed messy so grab napkins. Side note, boyfriend preferred my strawberry filled green tea puff over his chocolate filled churro puff. If ya wanna spend the money give them a try just to say ya did. But I won't be coming back. read more

I have always liked beard papas I'm so glad Spokane has one now :) my favorite is the original

Went on a Monday afternoon so it wasn't busy. I have to say that I was so excited to try this place and had high hopes. The creme puffs weren't too bad. We had the original with vanilla filling and the Chocolate e Clair with chocolate filling. The complaint is it's a little pricey for what you get. Also very bland inside and didn't really have that cozy feeling. Happy we tried and maybe we might go again someday but I would love to see more options first , especially in the drink category. read more
