When I got to the counter, I mentioned I was there for the birthday coupon, showed the code, and was told it had already expired--on my actual birthday, June 18th That was shocking. Most places give you a few days after--or even a full month--to use a birthday reward. I wasn't asking for something unreasonable. I just missed it by one day due to a busy weekday, and I genuinely didn't even know it expired on the birthday itself. What made it worse was the way it was handled: no "happy birthday," no kindness, no flexibility--just a flat, "It's expired." It really put a damper on something that was supposed to feel special. And to be honest, this is the second year in a row that I've walked away from a birthday visit here feeling disappointed and a little embarrassed. Any time I come in with a coupon or reward, it feels like I'm being treated differently--like I'm doing something wrong by trying to redeem what they offered me.
