I will not go here again, I work at the airport but felt pressured in to giving a tip. It would be different if you do not go to counter and pick up your food, if I had a server I don't mind tipping. It is less expensive to go to a sit down restaurant at the airport than to eat here and get pressured into leaving a tip. read more

First off I absolutely love burgers so when I stumbled across this place as I was walking around DFW airport looking for something to eat, this place definitely caught my eye! I was warmly greeted by Shenouda and he gave me great service from beginning to end and I was very impressed and happy with how quickly I was taken care of and received my order. I highly recommend their American burger and Oreo milkshake, I was tearing that thing down lol. The restaurant has a nice look to it, it definitely gives you mid town , Chicago, New Yorker vibes and it's a great place to chill and eat your food if you have a later flight in the day! When I come back to this airport and am craving a burger I know exactly where I'm coming back too! :) 10/10 highly recommend read more

I was waiting for my flight and needed to eat dinner so I stopped here. This was one of the only places open on a Saturday night before 7pm. It was a busy travel day so not sure why everything else was closed. And this place closed as I was waiting for my food. Definitely working a strange schedule at DFW. I also waited quite awhile for my food. They were busy but not that busy. Though the lady taking orders was fast and efficient. And they were trying to be fast in getting food out. I had the Spicy Goat burger: Texas goat cheese, chipolte sauce (I held this), bacon. The burger was nicely cooked and flavorful. The fries were also crispy outside and soft inside with a good flavor. Pleasantly surprised to find a fantastic vegan burger option here in this TX airport. Not a Beyond Burger but rather a great homemade brown rice-quinoa-chickpea concoction with avocado and sriracha on a whole wheat bun. Delicious and fast friendly service from Shenouda and crew. Normally I wouldn't review a food joint in an airport but Twisted Root burger really stood out with the quality of their burgers. A full half pound patty with a full slate of well designed burger options (or build your own). They do overcook them a bit ( they say to medium well) but you can get it less cooked if you ask when ordering I'm told. This location was clean & bright and the lone staff member handling the small dine-in area was fast and efficient. Dine in table service or take out. Cost wise it was about $10 for a burger. Not bad, especially at an airport and with good quality to boot. I'll look for a Twisted Root Burger anytime I'm in Texas again. read more

Good burger, super super greasy onion strings (had to get a fork was too much oil for finger food), fast but slightly rude service and slightly expensive but it's in an airport so I'll cut some slack on cost. I ate in and burger, small soda and rings $22 with tip. Overall I enjoyed it just wish they drained the oil off the onion strings better. read more

Stopped by for the Veggie Burger and Onion Strings on my layover, but was met with a really long wait for my food. I thought it would be a little quicker because there was not a long line when ordering. I'd say that the burger was alright, nothing special. The buns were not toasted, and the patty itself fell apart everywhere which made it quite a messy experience. The onion strings were good with the sauce it was served with. I would only recommend coming here if you have about an hour before departure. read more

This used to be one of my favorite spots in DFW, hadn't been there in a long while and was quite disappointed. Service was great but the fun ambiance is gone. Right as I was ordering a the Lots-a-shroom burger I noticed the order cook taking fries from a takeout tray instead of the heated tray below. Then saw the fry cook take fries that had been sitting over the fryer for who knows how long and put some in the take out tray while eating from the heated tray underneath (should've cancelled at this point but hadn't eaten all day and wasn't getting home until late). When I got my order a few minutes later the burger was barely warm and the fries were cold just about regretted skipping McD's. read more
