This is my go to place to eat in Dallas Ft Worth with the southern fried classic vibe with fantastic bluesy music and friendly staff who serve a high quality seafood fare and have plenty of seating to boot. I like ordering the combination po boy with all seafood options at no additional price. It comes with a side of fries and is cooked to perfection. Additionally what I love about this place is you take an escalator below the main level to get to it so it doesn't feel like an airport restaurant - it's just a restaurant and it removes you from the loudspeakers and foot traffic and makes it all feel like a neighborhood joint. Can't recommend this place enough for anyone looking for a restaurant that doesn't feel like it's in the middle of one of the busiest airports in the world.

Always a stellar airport option if you have time! Service is wonderful and food is solid, very fresh and delish!

While waiting for a connecting flight at the Dallas airport we grabbed a table for dinner. Although Pappadeaux is pricey, the quality of food and service was comparable to a free-standing Pappadeaux restaurant. The service was wonderful, food came out fast, fresh and crab and spinach dip was amazing! The ambiance was ok, but hey it's in the airport. The highlight was the huge portions and having leftovers to enjoy another day!

I came here because my flight was delayed, and I would definitely have had a better experience if I had sat at a booth instead of the bar. I was grateful for the bartender, though, since he let me use the charger behind the bar for my phone. The bar was just so squished, and they packed it with chairs. I was sitting 1 inch away from people on both sides. I got the Crab & Spinach Dip, Atlantic Salmon Alexander, and Pecan Pie. Crab & Spinach Dip - Pretty good but I just wish that it had more crab, especially for the price I paid. The garlic bread was crunchy and flavorful, but a bit too oily paired with the oily dip. Atlantic Salmon Alexander - Honestly, nothing special. The crawfish was pretty overdone, but the shrimp on the side was pretty good. The rice was bland and hard but the salmon was great. The sauce was nothing special. Pecan Pie - Honestly, so good! I forgot how much I like pecan pie, but this was the perfect end to the meal. The pie wasn't too sweet, honestly I could have probably eaten another entire slice LOL. Overall, decent experience, especially for the airport. Next time, I'm definitely sitting at a table!

Stopped by Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen (located in terminal A near gate 25) as I arrived to the airport with some time to spare before my flight. When I completed a search of all the restaurants in the airport, pappadeaux specially in terminal A was rated the highest on Yelp. Seeing this rating I definitely wanted to give this restaurant a try. The entrance can be a little confusing as you'll be looking for an escalator to take you downstairs to the restaurant. Once you take the escalator downstairs you'll check in with the host to be seated. I sat in the booths off to the right by the kitchen, which all had plugs underneath the table (in case you need to have a working lunch). The restaurant is very nice and feels like you are in a restaurant in New Orleans. When the server arrived I ordered the Shrimp & Scallop Orecchiette Pasta which came with shrimp, scallops, lump crab, pasta, asparagus, and a creamy parmesan vodka sauce. Btw there is a piece of garlic bread on the side just in case you are thinking about ordering the garlic bread appetizer. The pasta was excellent, had plenty of seafood, and the sauce made everything taste better. For dessert I ordered the key lime pie which came with graham cracker pecan crust. The pie was more on the sour side but I really enjoyed it. I highly recommend stopping by pappadeaux if you are looking for a good meal before your flight @ DFW.

Love Pappadeaux and this location didn't disappoint. Keairra was wonderful at the bar. After going down the escalator, the restaurant comes into view and it's got that charm all Pappadeauxs have. Big bar area with plenty of seating and Keairra specifically asks for a name to address you throughout the meal. Got the red fish with spinach vs dirty rice and y'all, if I could lick the plate I would have. It was delicious! Glass of wine paired nicely and almost missed my flight I was enjoying so much! Will keep on my short list when at DFW and have an hour or two to fill before my next flight.

Excellent New Orleans Cajun food! The Crawfish Etouffee plus sausage, sub dirty rice was awesome! Their special limited time Guava Banana Mai Tai was amazing addictive! They also have Blue Moon beer in bottles. You can enter via a hidden elevator around Gate 25 or via the main escalators around Gate 24. There seems to always be space at the bar counter. And the bartender can plug in your chargers behind the bar, to charge your phone and stuff. Food comes out quickly. Staff are quick and courteous.

2.5 Stars! I stopped by Pappadeaux at DFW, near Gate 24, hoping for a good meal. I'll give them credit for the speed of service - my food arrived very quickly. Unfortunately, the quality was severely lacking. The gumbo was disappointingly watery, and the fried calamari was both overcooked and definitely not worth the price.($24). Based on this visit, it'll be a long time before I consider dining at any Pappadeaux again.

Waited all week on a business trip to stop at DFW airport for everything I wanted. The food was excellent and just as I remembered the first time I tried this restaurant. The music was amazing and relaxing and the dining room was clean and my server Leah almost had me with the amazing looking desserts

An absolute joy! The ambiance alone was a getaway from the chaos of the airport. My server, Kynnedy, was a top tier employee. I watched her service my section herself with ease. I asked for clarity on menu items and she was well versed on the offerings and recommended a substitute side for my entree that was the ultimate pairing. Please give a huge THANK YOU to Kynnedy and the kitchen staff on such an excellent experience and meal!

I travel all over the country and eat in a lot of airports. Normally the airport restaurants do not compare to the restaurants in the city not the case for Pappadeaux's. The same great quality and customer service I get when dinning in the city. amazing gumbo and shrimp poor boy fresh and cooked to perfection. Look forward to my next time in the area.

This location of Pappadeaux in the Dallas/FW airport is amazing. You take an escalator downstairs away from the gates, so you don't feel like you're in the airport. Our server was so friendly and welcoming. We started with the calamari appetizer, lightly breaded and crispy. I had the shrimp and scallop orechetti, so creamy & delicious. My bff had the trout fillet w/crab, omg. Hubby had a shrimp/crawfish po' boy, loaded and my other bff had the bacon cheeseburger which he described as like a smash burger. We shared a bottle of California Pinot Noir, an amazing meal, even if we were in an airport!

I have been to Pappadeaux several times while in Texas. The fact that this gem of a restaurant is located in terminal A at DFW is amazing and made my day! There was a 5 minute wait for a table and once I was seated I was immediately greeted by my server Carlos. He asked if I had time constraints which I greatly appreciated given my flight time. He was friendly, attentive, gave great suggestions and continued to check in throughout my meal. Service here is top notch! Next, the food. All I can say is YUM! I ordered the special, a 10 oz sea bass entree topped with lump crab and cheese. It's served on sautéed spinach with cherry tomatoes & covered in beurre blanc. Everything was fresh and beyond delicious! I then happened to peer over at another table and saw a heaping pile of fried mozzarella sticks and immediately felt the urge to order. I am from WI after all! I used restraint and decided to pass as I truly only wanted 1-2 sticks although it had me wishing I was not dining solo so I could've ordered it and shared. I wish this restaurant would sell it by the half order as I would've 100% partaken in all that melty cheesey glory. I was so full from my entree that I decided to pass on dessert although the options looked SO delicious. This was a great experience and deserves the 5 star rating!

Loved the Cajun flavors and the cozy vibe. Service was friendly, but a few dishes came out slightly cold. Overall, a good experience.

The name of this place has intrigued me for some time. You see I am a bit of a history buff and…read morethe Volstead Act outlawed alcohol sales in 1919. Clubs still existed though, in the form of speakeasy's. Volstead is fashioned after a speakeasy from the era, and you feel it walking in. The place has an old time feel to it. My service was great. Friendly, cheerful, and a Ray of sunshine in the mysterious and dim lights, reminiscent of a speakeasy. I ordered a Cheeseburger and it came with Skinny Fries. I got to give them props, the food was delicious and something I would return for!

Both the Tavern and Tycoon are in Flower Mound, and I have not visited, but I have made stops at both Jane and now Volstead. And I have to say, I wanted to be impressed, and I just wasn't. When I went to Jane, the cocktails were not up to snuff. My visit to Volstead, the cocktail was fantastic but the ambiance and food disappointed. I came into Volstead to check out the happy hour. They have a discount on wine, and half off their signature cocktails and martinis. They make craft cocktails, which were impressive, but only have one bartender. It takes time, but they could use another. I ordered a Volstead Vesper. It is a bold martini. Josh made it well. It was well balanced. Boozy yet balanced. And I love a lemon curl. A garnish can really elevate a cocktail. Five stars for the drink. I will come back and order another one. I also ordered their spicy tuna crispy rice. It was rather a disappointment. The serving size was generous, the crunch on the rice was there, and then it fell short. The texture of the rice was on the mushier side. The tuna was NOT spicy. It had been dressed in something, but it brought absolutely NO flavor or anything to the tuna. There was a wasabi cream and a sauce (maybe eel sauce) that dressed the plate, but the tuna was bland. A little soy, citrus, yuzu, sriracha or SOMETHING to elevate and brighten the tuna would have been EVERYTHING. So it just ended up being bland tuna, on undressed avocado, on fried mushy rice with some tasty sauces. It absolutely was not spicy. And with a little something something it could have been rather tasty. Even with mushy rice. When I walked in and sat down, there was no music playing so you were just hearing conversations bouncing off the walls. After about a half hour someone decided they needed some tunes, but then it was too loud and it was hard to hear the bar tenders. I loved the decor, and again, my cocktail was really rather good. The overall feel just felt kind of sloppy. It could have been awesome, and fell short. They claim to have Southlakes best burger, and maybe that is a better choice than the tuna. I may give it a shot. It got rather popular as I was leaving, the crowd a bit more mature. And maybe that is their bag. They have great reviews and high stars, I just didn't feel it.
