Solid spot to grab a quick, hearty meal for a great price when you're in between flights! The place is small, efficient and service was FAST! Got myself a steak quesadilla and for the price point, the portion was quite large and they did not skimp out on the amount of steak. Cheese was plentiful and passed the stretch test and the flavors were on point. Everything was seasoned well and had a nice balance between meat and cheese. Definitely will go back and try other items next time I'm at the Dallas airport again (I'm sure I will be lol)
Great surprise...Very good food for the airport. Noah was a fantastic server. I thought 1030ish might be a bit early for a margarita, but in hindsight...I needed it (and maybe another) Upfront, the prices were ridiculous, very much the cost of eating at an airport, but the portions are very big - do what you will with that Liz and I split fajitas, which came with about half a pound of both grilled chicken and beef. The fajitas come with rice, and charro beans, and guacamole salad. The kids plates came out huge. Noemi just had a beef fajita plate. It came with a lot of rice and refried beans. Noah's beef nachos did too. It's good food, good service, but just be ready for the price tag.
Surprisingly good breakfast for being at the airport. I've always walked by and typically go to Pappadeaux, because Pappasitos always smells like cleaning chemicals. Not certain why that smell is there, but I decided to try breakfast. Huevos Rancheros were delicious! Service was spot on!
Passing through Dallas Fort Worth airport was excited to see Pappasitos near my arrival gate. Though I was not hungry I remembered the great food when I lived in Texas many years ago & just had to have some. We had the Plato Del Mar & Tortilla soup. We also had margaritas. Ambiance was typical airport scene. Overall the food was not as tasty as I remember & service was not that great. Disappointed.
Not one, but two Mirage Margaritas! The best bartender, Caesar, said it wouldn't be spicy if I didn't add the salty spicy rim. However, as I continued to enjoy my drink, it tasted spicer by the minute. I asked if there was any spice in the drink and he said the candied chile threads could be the culprit. He didn't think they were, but as they soaked up the margarita, it was possible. I got another one without salt or spice. One of the best margaritas that I've had in my lifetime.I doubt I could replicate the taste so it will live on as a memory. Our food was delicious! We were very happy that this restaurant resides in terminal A. Cute spot that has tables and a comfortable bar. Don't forget to tell Caesar I said hello!
Usually airport food is a sh*tty version of what you can get at the restaurant outside. This was legit Pappasito's. It's a sit down restaurant where you order from a menu, but they had me in and out in 30 minutes.
The food hear at the airport is similar to the actual restaurant with a downscaled menu. Was good and fresh. The small area made it difficult to enjoy the meal. But was good nonetheless

Had a little time between our connections and decided to stop in for a quick bite. Unfortunately my chicken fajitas had more skin than chicken. I saw they do portion size by weight so I must have missed out on a whole piece of chicken by all the skin they gave me. Very disappointing. There was also no cheese to put on the fajitas.

Tried this place for the first time at the airport, and let's just say the guacamole was enough to set the tone: bland, possibly made with near-spoiled cheese (cotija or queso fresco?), and zero seasoning. The chips were greasy, tasted like old fryer oil, and lacked any salt. The tortilla soup? Sent it back--it was nothing more than warm, flavored water with zucchini tossed in. A first... and hopefully a last. Then came the "tacos de hombre"--highly recommended, but totally underwhelming. Just a few slices of beef wrapped in limp flour tortillas. The rice and beans on the side tasted like they were reheated in a microwave. Even the beer on tap was flat. This place is a glorified Taco Bell charging premium prices for low-effort food. A handful of sad ingredients reimagined as a menu. Total rip-off.
First of all--ask for Michael as your server. He is outstanding! He gave excellent recommendations and was very attentive to my gluten-free sensitivity, which I truly appreciated. I ordered the breakfast platter, which was delicious and hearty, and he added a side of avocado that completely made my day. My husband had the huevos rancheros and absolutely fell in love with it. The Cuban music playing in the background added the perfect vibe and really elevated the entire experience.
Went to the Dallas Airport location and was amazing! I ordered the Plato Del Mar, queso and non-alcoholic Tropical Refresher. Everything was devine and plentiful! The atmosphere was great, my server was Von; but everyone was so nice! The Plato Del Mar is the choice when you can't decide if you steak, chicken or shrimp. The shrimp was wrapped in bacon and charred beautifully. Steak was cooked to a perfect medium-rare and the chicken was juicy. So much flavor!! The guacamole was creamy while still having avocado chucks in it. I liked that the beans weren't the run of the mill refried beans. The queso was good but that fire roasted salsa was delicious! I really enjoyed the Tropical Refresher. The cute flower and dried fruit garnish really made a non-alcoholic beverage feel like a cocktail. I also think it's nice that for an airport restaurant everything was served on real plates and with real flatware. When I asked for a box I was pleasantly surprised with box, container for salsa, a bag of chips, plastic flatware, napkins & a bag to carry it all in. Thank you for making my layover to Virginia so enjoyable and relaxing!
Wait. This was a Tex-Mex restaurant at the DFW airport? It was outstanding! Great food, huge portions, great service and, did I mention, great food? We ordered fish tacos, a salad, tacos, and enchiladas and everything was piping hot and very tasty. Highly recommend.

It is a rare day when you can genuinely rave about airport food, but this completely bucked the "sad airport meal" trend. I ordered the chicken fajita salad, and it was outstanding. The chicken was incredibly juicy and packed with great flavor, and the vegetables weren't the disappointing, wilted afterthought you usually get while traveling--everything was crisp, fresh, and delicious. This is officially my go-to spot whenever I pass through DFW. Beyond the food, the vibe here is great. The bartender, Ri, brings fantastic energy and the kind of authentic personality that makes you feel like you're hanging out in a neighborhood pub rather than sitting at a chaotic airport gate. i don't have the highest expectations for airport food, however this was enough for me to leave a little note for anyone who likes true mexican food- the staff is rude, i waited 20mins for a side of sour cream and guac, they forgot my drink then brought it when we were done. the food is cooked as if it's a lady in the back trying to make a casserole if that makes sense? taste nothing like Mexican food, there was even celery and carrots in it? the rice was stale, beans were dried out, and the flavor was literally like a chicken celery casserole with no flavor. we also eventually got our $18 guacamole and it was just mashed avocados nothing else, no salt pepper, flavor, just mashed avocados for $18 MIDDDDDD read more

Excellent food. Superb service! I wasn't going to grab something to eat, but the ladies seated behind me on the flight were raving about this place, so I decided to give it a try. Glad I did. The ladies were talking about the Plato del Mar, so that's what a had. A bit pricey I initially thought -- even for airport food -- but the food was great, and the portions were generous. It could have fed two! As good as the food was, the service was exceptional, and the staff were very polite. And, the price? Again, I initially thought it was high, but -- given the portion size, flavor, and airport location (for which they pay ridiculously high rent) -- it was reasonable. Well done! Truly some of the best airport food around. Everything fresh and made in house. We were actually very surprised at how delicious it was. Generous portion of free chips and salsa. Generous portion on the order of guacamole. We will return to eat here I am quite sure. 5 stars. read more
My husband and I have been Pappasito fans for over 30 years. This location at the airport is just as delightful as the rest of their locations. In fact, it may be better because they are so nice and quick. It's so good that not only did we eat here on our way out of town, we ate here when we landed. Lol. We had the mixed fajita plate which includes their beef fajitas, chicken fajitas, and shrimp brochette. All of it is covered in the garlic butter.... which is life! Their chips are always perfectly crispy and brought with their smoky salsa that is divine. Sidenote, they always have salt on the table. After Covid, it's like everybody decided to not salt anything or put salt on the table. So weird! The reserve Margarita is the one that includes Grand Marnier. It comes in a small size and a large size. The picture I'm including is the small size. Texas :) read more
Lovely place, except for my server. Mimosas and nachos are nice. The salsa? I mean they have only mild so that's kind of unusual, interesting. I said I'd try some but never got any. The hostess was not inviting and although the place was nearly empty she attempted to seat me in a ridiculous place that was almost in the kitchen, I haven't seen a table in that close proximity before. The servers stand by that table to chat and wait for food. Anyway. I got a different table and you'd have thought I poked her in the eye with a stick. I've never been asked how my nachos were, how my drink was by my server, Manual G, very bothered by having to wait on me clearly and got more put off by the moment. Jeez. Theres an older server smiling, asking folks how everything is, etc. I can't see his name tag. Grey hair, glasses, beard, a little difficulty walking, really kind. In fact most all employees here are lovely. I know it's the day after Christmas, I know how hard they are all working. I just had a death in my family. Maybe he did too? Maybe he's new? Some of the worst service I've had in my 60 years. But I recommend trying this place out if you're stuck here, I just got a bad deal, happens! read more
Even for airport food this seems a bit pricey. There are not a ton of food options, but there are enough to choose from for a quick airport stop. We both got the Chicken Burrito. It's decently sized - a full one-person serving, but was reasonably bland. It was $18 on our visit, and fajitas could run you into the mid $30 range. Guac was $2.79 extra. My wife got a 20-ounce beer for $11, and my Grande Skinny Margarita was $19. It WAS GOOD! No chips on the table, but I suppose that's to be expected at the airport. I didn't look for them, but I'm sure they were available as an appetizer. Our server was very good and our food came out quickly. Always important at the airport!! Tables, booths, and a bit of bar seating. read more

Came here after having my plane delayed for another 3 hours for a total of an 5 hour layover. Decided to stop here for some dinner as per recommendations online but found that the food is not all that hyped up to be. Being a Californian native where there are plenty of Mexican restaurants, this place pales in comparison. I got the chicken burrito and the chicken was flavorless. The breast meat wasn't that dry but I did wish they used thigh meat. Not only is the chicken burrito not that good, it was also very expensive! Not only the chicken burrito, but other stuff on the menu was expensive too! I guess airport pricing but the mark up is way too much. No chips and salsa was given like traditional Mexican restaurants.. The best thing about this place was that the service was very fast. I sat down, ordered and food came out within less than 10 minutes! Servers were quick and attentive! Was in and out of the establishment in under 30 minutes! It is nice to have a sit down restaurant that helps you relax and forget about the busy travel day. read more

I expected a wider selection of TexMex dishes to choose from on the menu. The ground beef enchiladas I ordered were surprisingly decent. The meal comes with beans and rice. For the price, you would think it came with sour cream or salsa. Just average TexMex I guess. The wait staff is great. Got the food out quick and hot. read more
