Amazing burgers. Service is always great. Only gripe is I wish the burger patties were thicker. I don't feel like the price is worth the portions except on an occasion. Regardless, that's just a preference issue on my end and shouldn't hinder you trying this place. Definitely one of the best and one of my favorite burgers places in the area. read more

Very good burgers and delicious shakes! I ordered the Big Texas burger, which was delicious. The fries were pretty good, although I sampled the fried pickles and cheese fries- both were very good! The house made chips also looked great! The Oreo Shake was amazing! Creamy and delicious! Would highly recommend saving room for a shake. Enjoy! read more

This was some of the best customer service I've had in any restaurant in a very long time. Food was on point as usual.

It's an artesian burger joint. They try to be hip by giving funky names to the burgers and giving you pop star and cultural icons as your name to be called when the order is ready. There is no doubt the food is good. We don't come here often as the burgers are a bit big for us to eat by ourselves and a bit on the expensive side. However, it is a nice treat. read more

Twisted Root Burger - Cold fries staled taste .salty - Burgers Near Me - Bedford, Texas

Twisted Root makes a damn good burger; it's as simple as that. Everything is fresh and cooked perfectly which results in a totally satisfying indulgence. They also do things I've never seen another burger joint do such as offer a variety of patty choices (game meats, beef, a veggie patty, or even a hot dog) and free pickle bar. When we went the pickle flavors were atomic, sweet and spicy, bread and butter, dill, and ranch. Did I mention they even make their own root beer?! Yep, they rock. Creativity is certainly not something they lack and their ordering system proves that. Instead of giving you a number, you get a famous name they call when your grub is ready. This time they gave us Dirk Diggler which cracked me up. They use judgement when handing out names so not to fear. If you come with kids they will give you a different one that won't leave you explaining what an AVN award is. I built my own burger and went classic with beef, lettuce, onion, tomato and their chipotle ketchup. What I call classic my husband calls boring but alas, it was delicious. He got the Western which looked great too with a beef patty, jalapeños, pepper jack cheese, bacon, and fried onion strings. I also highly recommend their house made sweet potato chips and shakes. I've never tried a shake myself because I'm too full by the end, but I've been with people who have and it's always rave reviews all around. Free parking, good selection of beers, and even an outdoor seating area for when it warms up. We will be back!!! read more

$25 for two burgers one drink and water Food okay BUT the water glass is like 4oz Kids plastic Cup... my guess is because you are not paying for drink. At $25 for two burgers you'd think they could at least give you a water glass big enough for an adult!!!! Onion rings over seasoned very salted Chips wife said was the same These high end burger with adult bars have become way over priced for service and quality. We have agreed to not come back we can buy order get as good or better for less. read more

This location is not bad at all and its near me! We came here on a rainy day wanting some comfort food. This is a nice location and it's pretty big. I loved the random disco ball near the bar. The burgers are cooked Medium Well so let the worker know you want it cooked a different way! I ordered the Enough Said which consisted of their house made potato chips, bacon ranch, and cheese. My burger was really good. The chips gave each bite a perfect crunch and the bacon ranch complimented my burger. We ordered onion strings on the side. The batter on the onions strings was really good but a little on the salty side. They have a pretzel bun here if you want to switch out the sesame bun but unfortunately they were out the day we came in. I'll have to come back! read more

Alright, Twisted Root in Bedford. You're brand spankin' new and word on the streets is that you need to work out a few issues before you'll really shine. But I visited on a Saturday and think you're doing fabulously! First of all, it was absolutely packed when I came in. I thought that if I went around 2:30, maybe the lunch crowd would have died down a bit. No siree, the line was seriously almost out the door. At times like this, there's a fat chance you'll be able to park out front in their small lot, so you have to park in the shopping center behind and take a baby hike to the door. But no big deal! What's awesome about Twisted Root is the super fun, casual, everyone's-friends vibe they've got buzzing. That long line moves quickly and your food is announced within 5-10 minutes. I went with 4 friends and we ordered a variety of burgers; turkey, beef with mushrooms and swiss, beef with blue cheese, and I got the spicy goat "burger bowl"! The spicy goat is dang spicy, watch out! But so, so good. The cold, creamy goat cheese pairs beautifully with the fiery bbq sauce. Everything was awesome. Cooked well, bold flavors, fresh crunchy toppings, and hot, fresh fries. We also ordered the sweet potato chips, which were great. Don't expect crunchy, salty, greasy potato chips; these are made in house so they're a bit soft, but not stale. Next time I go, I think I'll grab a cider or a cocktail to wash down the beef. Twisted Root is brilliant for being a burger joint with a full bar. And of course, they have a million game meats on their menu, which makes them stand out. How can you not want to try a beaver or a camel burger?! I'm a little scared, but definitely intrigued. A lot to look forward to! read more

Great atmosphere, excellent burger selection, great taste, staff is super friendly and overall an awesome experience! I had The Spicy Goat and my 6yr old daughter had a kids cheeseburger (she ate it all)... make sure to ask if you want medium rare. So good. read more

Wife and I rode here between Harley Davidson events in Bedford. Really good location, great motorcycle only parking right upfront next to a nice outdoor patio eating area. Super good Burgers that are made just however you like it! And a tall Shiner Blonde. read more

So everything was great until it came to pay. I pleasantly requested the bar tender, Becca, return to review an error on my receipt. After our interaction I don't feel like my concerns were taken seriously. You see the word Chichirrones is misspelled on the receipt. Personally I can't believe the lack of professionalism from the bartender as she left eyes rolling and laughing. Otherwise everything was great. read more

Not a bad burger, for sure. Worth 11-12 bucks a head (if you want to stay plain)? I don't know about that. Ambiance is pretty cool, I really like the place. My fries were a little more well done than I would like, but all in all it's not bad. I do go back every so often, but it definitely feels a little more pricey than what it's worth for a fast food set up. read more

We arrived at an off hour and were able to place our order quickly. Pretty straight forward, or so we thought. A pair of burgers, one with cheese. Order of fries. Order of onion strings. Two drinks. Over $25. Yikes! This better be far better than Whataburger or MacDonald's. We got our drinks and a table while we waited for our meal. My butterscotch root beer tasted like plain root beer but was good. We opted to sit inside which seems to have less seating than outdoors, where most were sitting. OK for now but it will soon be super hot on all that sunny concrete. Not all the seats are shaded. Also sitting next to a super busy intersection with traffic noise and fumes does not appeal to me. Well, back to waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting some more. Cheaper burger spots are a lot faster. We watched several who came after us get their food. Wait some more. Finally half was ready....what? Eventually I got my order. Toasted bun is nice. Burger OK but greasy. Onion strings a messy, greasy glop with coating falling off and one misplaced fried pickle buried in the mess. Fries OK. Over $25 for the food? Not worth it for what we had. Perhaps some of the specialty burgers would be better but chances are I won't be going back to find out. A couple other notes: The parking is extremely limited for the size of the restaurant. Staff was friendly, acted like they enjoyed their jobs, and seemed more plentiful than the service we received would suggest. We observed lots of tattoos, body piercings, unusual hair styles. Not a judgement but just a comment. We had to do something during our long wait for food. read more

Best burger place in Bedford. Not only is the atmosphere great, but the food was phenomenal and came out in a timely manner. I ordered the millionaire burger open faced and was blown away by how great it tasted. The mushrooms were cooked perfect and the truffle aioli sauce was a great combination that complimented the mushrooms. The best part was the crispy onions to top it off. read more

Over 50% of the tables had old food and plates sitting on them, not one picked up the entire time we were there. No one cleaning up, not busy, but crew just hanging out in the kitchen. Men's restroom overflowed and a mess, flies everywhere inside. No thanks. Pre COVID shut down TR was one of our favorite burger joints. But looks like we are done. I can handle things like slow service but not an unclean eating environment. read more

Everyone was raving about how good the burgers are here. The menu is quite extensive. You can even build your own or something of that matter. They also offer game meat, which was interesting. Ended up with the Spicy Goat burger. Nothing really put me in a super wow mood. It was a typical burger that was dry. The goat cheese was a bit too much and masked the burger. I got a side of pork rinds. Those were super duper salty. Probably won't be coming back. read more

We just visited here and took our order to go. We were happy with our burgers and the beef being from Texas. Good flavor. The fries were good and love skin on fries, but a little too done and salty for my taste. The Oreo shake was awesome, it felt light when I held it. I think there is a lot of whipped cream as well as some ice cream, kinda wished it was full on ice cream. Service was super great, friendly and competent. Yes I would go back again and try the buffalo. read more

5/30/16: First time visiting a Twisted Root restaurant. Friends would tell me while the burgers are "ok," they are not worth $10. After ordering the "Lots-a-Shroom" burger with the sweet potato chips, I would agree. The chips were stale and the burger was not seasoned. Bun was not grilled, although I don't know if it's marketed as such. I was going to order a burger with bacon; however, while placing my order, I noticed bacon in a steel container just behind the cash register. It appeared to be days old. Because of that, I switched my order. I also noticed the grill where the burgers are prepared; from my vantage point, it appeared to be laden with grease. Upon approaching the front door of the restaurant, there were visible handprints along the length and width of the doors. Will I return to this location? Probably not. I'll visit another location before deciding if I'll write Twisted Root off altogether. read more

Twisted Root Burger - 5/30/16: Twisted Root, Bedford. - Burgers Near Me - Bedford, Texas

The ONLY negative I can think of to say about this place is the wait. It was super packed, so we opted to sit at the bar. But hey, it's not their fault that their food rocks, and lots of people want it. Hence the parking issues. Good stuff brings a crowd! But there IS an entire shopping center next to this restaurant...with a shopping center parking lot. You could just park and walk 15 seconds, fatties. ;) it's worth a lot longer of a walk than that! We ordered The Western burger with Bison. It was SUPER good! Really tender and juicy. People who complaining about the grease: make yourself a fat free burger at home. Beef has fat. Because it's beef. They have a lot of different meat choices, which I thought was cool. They also have 13 special burgers, which range from $7-9 in price. A basic half pound cheeseburger is $6.75, so I don't know why everyone is freaking out about the prices. Maybe because they don't come with a drink or a side. Sides are under $3, and drinks are $2. I had the Butterscotch Root Beer mixed with black cherry. It was delicious. They also had $2 drafts on a Friday Night, that was awesome. I also got an $8 adult milkshake, Creme de Menthe. OMG. I COULD DRINK THIS FOREVER. The name calling system is hilarious. "Mr. Incredible, your food is getting lonely, sir" The staff was awesome, happy, quick, friendly, unique and awesome. Management is really great too! The kind of management that checks on you while you eat. Love that! We will DEFINITELY be back. Probably too much, since we just moved a couple miles away. Highly recommend!! read more

Great atmosphere, family friendly and the employees are very friendly. I love the pickle Bar and the twist they had on some drinks (Apple lemonade and watermelon ice tea which changes regularly). We sat outside which was nice however it kinda feels a little separated from the building but it's not bad. I ordered the Western burger with cheddar cheese instead of jalapeño jack. The food came out quickly, it was very fresh and hot. My burger was perfect, the meat was seasoned perfect, wasn't dry, the bacon slices were thick and made perfectly. The fries were nicely seasoned if you don't want much salt you may want them to lightly season the fries. Overall I can't wait to go back and try it out again but be prepared to be full read more

Before Covid this was pretty good even though it was overpriced. Since they reopened, it is not good. I ordered a traditional hamburger. The meat tasted like that vegetarian version of a burger. What a fun and unique burger place! The atmosphere was nice and enjoyable, the food was pretty good and worthy of returning for however my main issue was the cleanliness of the place. This was a great burger! I had the cheeseburger with green Chilis and some onion strings on the side. The burger was huge and very tasty. Maybe just a tad on the rare side for me (I like my burger med well). The flavor made up for it but I will ask for med well next time. Prices for burgers were a little steep at about 30 bucks for 2 burgers, 2 sides and 2 drinks but again the quality made up for that. Pretty good burger option in this area. I've been here several times and try a new burger every time. First one that stands out: bison burger. WOW. Texture and flavor are amazing. If I had to choose one from here, no doubt, that'd be it! Big Tex was a solid second choice. Can't go wrong with BBQ Sauce and onion straws slapped on top of a burger! Bailey's & Banana Shake was decent. I love all things banana and that flavor was definitely there, but I thought the Bailey's was a little overpowering. Is there such thing as "too much" liquor? Ehh, most times I'd say no () - but in this case, it was a little too heavy and threw off the flavor. The (free) pickle tubs are a pretty neat addition, as well! I always snag a couple different flavors. Oh, and be sure you know 'who you are' when you order... they just might be calling out Marilynn Monroe 10x in a row. ‍ (whoops!) read more
