We quit going there because the quality and value went down while the prices went up. However, we decided to give it another try as it is very close to home for us and we're into supporting local. Went here tonight for dinner and was pretty disappointed. The first thing we noticed that the floors were SO sticky, we almost left after our shoes were sticking. We ordered the mushroom burger and the Kevin bacon burger. Both the patties on each were deceNt size but were flavorless. I had to almost smother the mushroom burger with Dijon sauce for it to have flavor. The mushrooms were not cooked enough and there was barely any Swiss. Our fries, $2.50 for each serving, were overcooked and too crispy. I barely ate any. The best thing about this place was the pickles. The atmosphere outside is great, but the atmosphere inside is drab and there was no music like there is outside. This place has a lot of potential but still needs work. read more

Epic Fail Today-I go here at least 2-3 times/month and it's usually very good. In treating my staff to lunch today, we placed an order yesterday for pickup today. HORRIBLE experience. My coworker waited about 10 minutes before she was even acknowledged and they hadn't even started our order. Seems no one noticed it was pre-ordered...they made it yesterday and threw it out when no one picked it up. Spent 30+ minutes waiting for it to be prepped and they got part of it wrong! Great great great burgers - cool restaurant- I like the little cards with celebrity names instead of order numbers - it's hilarious when they called "Nicki Minaj" up so I can get my food. The table across from me had an older couple and they got the name Leonardo DiCaprio, the old man had such a cute smile when the name was called lol. The onion strings are good af, the millionaire burger is soooooo good, and any other burger I tried was tasty. The bartender is very nice, and makes decent drinks. Came here for a late dinner and it was great! There weren't a ton of people there at that time so we got our food quickly. I got the western burger and it had just the perfect amount of spice. In men's room have a number of the humorous Chuck Norris saying on the wall. They have a full bar but could not partake as was working that day. Excellent food. Similar to Fudruckers but better. I had the Buffalo burger and cheese fries and it was very good. The pickle barrels have several delicious varieties of pickles. The bar area is small with one TV but the drinks looked good but I didn't have any. There is plenty of seating and a large outdoor patio. read more

I am new to Texas and live incredibly close to this place. This was the first place my husband and I tried when going out to eat. We went on a very rainy day. I happen to notice a bunch of barrels in the center and someone around it. A guy grabbed a small cup and grabbed something using the tongs. He went around repeating it. I went to check it out and noticed it was barrels of different kind of pickles. I am a huge pickle fan so I immediately tried. Love! We got our burgers, fries and fried pickles. The burgers were huge! My husband added spicy ketchup to his fries and loved it. The burger was a little chewy because I asked for it well done. Then they give you this ticket with a funny name or famous persons name and that's what they call when your food is ready. I really thought that was pretty funny. They had like sooo many different options of pickles too. I never thought that it would interest me, but it did lol. And then the food came. My burger literally looked like my freshman year of college all cooked down into a delightful sandwich. It literally had everything on it. This place gets it. We had a really good meal here. A couple of great burgers and and fries. The chipotle ketchup was delish. The most impressive part was when they brought us our food one of the burgers was wrong. The waiter took it back without hesitation and quickly fixed the order. So we ordered western burger and onion strings! And of course grabbed some pickles in a jar! I think that's whats cool about this place! The variety of their pickles! And they are actually pretty delicious! But for me personally their burger is just ok; nothing to brag about. I mean it's jut like eating burger at any other burger joint! Ate at a Twisted Root Burger Co for the first time in Lubbock, TX several years ago. Decided to stop by my local one now that I am a DFW resident and the burgers are as good as I remember them! They are cooked well, have lots of choices for toppings, and come out delicious. The fries on the other hand leave something to be desired. They are kind of soggy and have a lot of oil in them. A lot of people like these fries and they are decent, but I wish they were more crispy. The cheese fries / treat yo self fries are more than enough to share between two people. read more

OK, I hadn't been here in a couple years because I was tired of getting a dried out flavorless hamburger AFTER requested "medium". I now have a one year old son with celiac disease and my wife heard about the gluten free option for burger buns so she asked me to go again. It's an artesian burger joint. They try to be hip by giving funky names to the burgers and giving you pop star and cultural icons as your name to be called when the order is ready.
