Absolutely fantastic! The food was amazing. I loved how they incorporated interesting flavors. I ordered the "gosh jam it" burger and I was blown away. Super quality food and the atmosphere was fun. Definitely a place you can bring your family, my husband and 5yo had a blast. We will definitely be returning! read more

Sunday night, about 8:00 PM. Went toward the grill side to place an order. A youngster sees me and asks if I was going to place an order. I say yes. He tells me the menus are on the pickle stand. He says then place your order at the bar register. I walk over no one there. I wait, still no one there. I simply left. I say spend your money where they appreciate the client read more

Went here tonight for dinner and was pretty disappointed. The first thing we noticed that the floors were SO sticky, we almost left after our shoes were sticking. We ordered the mushroom burger and the Kevin bacon burger. Both the patties on each were deceNt size but were flavorless. I had to almost smother the mushroom burger with Dijon sauce for it to have flavor. The mushrooms were not cooked enough and there was barely any Swiss. Our fries, $2.50 for each serving, were overcooked and too crispy. I barely ate any. The best thing about this place was the pickles. The atmosphere outside is great, but the atmosphere inside is drab and there was no music like there is outside. This place has a lot of potential but still needs work. read more

Twisted Root Burger - Overcooked tasteless fries - Burgers Near Me - Bedford, Texas

The fries are incredibly tasty! I came to sample their vegan burger, which is bean-based. Not the greatest; it was lacking something, or the proportion of beans was too high. Overall service is excellent; the staff was fantastic. Unique place to relax with friends. read more

This location Cannot cook a burger to save their life. Gave me a raw uncooked burger.

Came here for a late dinner and it was great! There weren't a ton of people there at that time so we got our food quickly. I got the western burger and it had just the perfect amount of spice. The burgers are big so be prepared! I got fries to go with it, but it sounds like I would've liked the onion strings even more. I'll have to come back and try more options. read more

Not a fan. Burger was kind of blend. Not well seasoned. I don't recommend. I ordered the lots a mushroom and there were only 4 small pieces of mushroom. read more

Great great great burgers - cool restaurant- I like the little cards with celebrity names instead of order numbers - it's hilarious when they called "Nicki Minaj" up so I can get my food. The table across from me had an older couple and they got the name Leonardo DiCaprio, the old man had such a cute smile when the name was called lol. The onion strings are good af, the millionaire burger is soooooo good, and any other burger I tried was tasty. The bartender is very nice, and makes decent drinks. The prices are very reasonable too. read more

Went it twice and my friend and fiancé was craving burgers, I thought to myself sure it's been so long so I'll give it a go again. Now I must say to myself, I don't really like going here because it's expensive with sides and others, I do enjoy their complementary pickles and their name tags when they call the orders that's like 10/10! - Food: I ordered the freshman 15 with the side of pickles and also the mancho fries! Their burgers is huge that I can barely finish it, their pickles were okay, needed more batter, but all and all, delicious burger! *Overall: choice your item wisely because each burger comes with surprises in them! read more

Twisted Root Burger - Freshman 15 - Burgers Near Me - Bedford, Texas

First time here and the food was good. Burgers were seasoned well and weren't dry. The kids enjoyed their food as well. Will definitely return. read more

Great burgers at modern day reasonable prices. We used to go here often, but haven't been here in a couple of years. We quit going there because the quality and value went down while the prices went up. However, we decided to give it another try as it is very close to home for us and we're into supporting local. Very pleased to find out that they have gone back to high quality, fresh food. Our burgers were seasoned and cooked perfectly. Glad to see that they have made the right changes to go back to where they started with a great burger. Will definitely go back again. read more

Brooooo, best freaking burger in all of DFW period Queen!!! Make sure to upgrade to the Wagyu burger and ask to have it cooked Meduim. It's a life altering experience, trust me!!! So juicy and tender, it's like biting into butter. I could eat here every day. read more

Epic Fail Today-I go here at least 2-3 times/month and it's usually very good. In treating my staff to lunch today, we placed an order yesterday for pickup today. HORRIBLE experience. My coworker waited about 10 minutes before she was even acknowledged and they hadn't even started our order. Seems no one noticed it was pre-ordered...they made it yesterday and threw it out when no one picked it up. Spent 30+ minutes waiting for it to be prepped and they got part of it wrong! Not a great way to spend $90 bucks for lunch...next time we'll definitely choose another place. They did comp us an order or cheese fries. read more

Ate here for lunch. Burger was very good. The fries were very good as well. Place is clean, staff was friendly and food came out in good time. In men's room have a number of the humorous Chuck Norris saying on the wall. They have a full bar but could not partake as was working that day. All in all a good experience and will go back when get the chance. read more

Used to love this place but I found a nasty long hair that came from a cook in my French fry. The manager didn't even make it put it's hair up after and I expressed concern. read more

Pros: They have a large selection of burger options including wagyu and game meats. The burger was good. The portions were great, and I'm a sucker for their onion strings and house-made barbecue sauce. The staff is friendly. Cons: The price. A standard cheeseburger, fried onion strings, and soda came to over $15. I don't expect those prices from somewhere that makes me order at the counter. The cleanliness leaves a lot to be desirable. I get that they are going for quirky decor, but it comes off as trashy and run-down. read more

OMG - Twisted Root Burgers are the best! Their fries are the best! The customer service is the best! Seriously, go there... the burgers are 1/2 lb of goodness. They have different kinds of meat - wagyu beef, buffalo and game meats in season. The fries are hand cut and cooked to perfection! Do yourself a favor ... go get a burger and fries! read more

Excellent food. Similar to Fudruckers but better. I had the Buffalo burger and cheese fries and it was very good. The pickle barrels have several delicious varieties of pickles. The bar area is small with one TV but the drinks looked good but I didn't have any. There is plenty of seating and a large outdoor patio. read more

Twisted Root Burger - Buffalo Burger and Cheese Fries - Burgers Near Me - Bedford, Texas

You will always have a fun and exciting time coming to the twisted root. The decor, menu, and interactions with staff are all designed to create a unique and uplifting and enjoyable experience. Always ask what specialty meats are on that day, as the vary greatly, rabbit, bison, alligator, lamb, venison just to name a few over time. The food itself rocks!! Freshly made sweet potato chips crispy hot tasty and not overly greasy. Cheese fries where the fries are crispy, cheese is melted throughout not just on top. All their sides are truly fresh and yumminess personified. Four different types of pickles are placed for toppings or snacking. They range from buttery to extremely hot. The burgers are fresh, 1/3 pound patties seasoned well, and placed on toasted buns. Each one is creatively topped, mushrooms, egg and bacon, guacamole and chilies, and a host of different cheeses. The price point starts at the $10 range but don't be surprised when the per person hits $20+ when adding a side and drink. Lastly if you're a thick shake person don't forget to add this to your must have list. read more

Twisted Root Burger - Wagyu bacon burger with all the good stuff. Very tasty. - Burgers Near Me - Bedford, Texas

I am new to Texas and live incredibly close to this place. This was the first place my husband and I tried when going out to eat. We went on a very rainy day. It was surprisingly busy despite the bad weather. The parking lot had a good amount of water build up. Nothing they can really do about that. We walk in. We weren't sure of how it goes so we sat down right away. We found a table and then we discovered, you go up and order yourself. We stood in line looking at the menu. We let a couple people go ahead because I wasn't sure what I wanted. My husband picked out the spicy goat with fries and a drink. I got the burger of the month, the cool ranch burger. I got fried pickles and a drink. I asked for no tomato, no lettuce or any mayo. The cashier said the total. The cost was pretty high. We filled up our cups. We both drank the root beer. It had more vanilla in it and a hint of something else. It's not the root beer I'm use to but I drank it. We waited for our burgers. I happen to notice a bunch of barrels in the center and someone around it. A guy grabbed a small cup and grabbed something using the tongs. He went around repeating it. I went to check it out and noticed it was barrels of different kind of pickles. I am a huge pickle fan so I immediately tried. Love! We got our burgers, fries and fried pickles. The burgers were huge! My husband added spicy ketchup to his fries and loved it. The burger was a little chewy because I asked for it well done. I was given the tomato and lettuce and whatever sauce on the size. It was kind of a waste since I didn't want it, so I didn't eat it. The fried pickles were good. Not the best I have had but pretty good. The price for them wasn't expensive either. My husband finished his burger. I got 3/4's way thru and was too full to finish. So I gave the rest to my husband. He commented how mine was chewy unlike his. But it was pretty good. He said he was actually full. read more

Twisted Root Burger - Cool ranch burger and fried pickles - Burgers Near Me - Bedford, Texas

Can you say Freshman 15??! Well I can, because that's what I had. This has to be one of the coolest restaurants ever. So you walk in and order. Then they give you this ticket with a funny name or famous persons name and that's what they call when your food is ready. I really thought that was pretty funny. They had like sooo many different options of pickles too. I never thought that it would interest me, but it did lol. And then the food came. My burger literally looked like my freshman year of college all cooked down into a delightful sandwich. It literally had everything on it. (And yes the burger was called freshman 15) And let me not forget about the "adult" milkshake. Oh yeah, definitely something to try. read more

I have eaten here multiple times before and after moving to Bedford. I have always had a great experience and love the friendly staff. I always tend to stick with the same burger but have branched out recently. The Lots-a-shroom is my go to. It's a great burger! I also highly recommend The Spicy Goat and the All-American. All of their sides are great, especially the fried pickles. And the homemade pickles, root beer, and lemonade really add a special touch! I love this place! read more

I am so very sad that the new owners never made all of the yummy flavors of root beer. That was one of the things I looked forward to the most coming to TRB co. Seeing what the flavor of the week was. Especially when they had butter rum or butterscotch read more

Went for girlfriends birthday. Her burger was raw, the restaurant was filthy, tables not bussed. Our table was sticky and dirty. Cheese fries were cold. This place is a trainwreck. Great burger but the sides are salty. I love the goat cheese burger, they put lots of goat cheese which is well appreciated. The onion straws are great but hard to eat straight due to the salt. The fried green beans are great too but unless you love salt, they are hard to munch. We will be back but also ready for the load. read more

I love Twisted Root for their creatativity, delicious burger combinations, and their milkshakes. Yum! This location serves the same menu as other locations. This place gets it. We had a really good meal here. A couple of great burgers and and fries. The chipotle ketchup was delish. The most impressive part was when they brought us our food one of the burgers was wrong. The waiter took it back without hesitation and quickly fixed the order. A few minutes after the manager came over and apologized for the mistake and brought us a few dollars back cause we were charged for the wrong burger. We never even noticed or asked for money. They respect and take care of there customers read more

I was visiting Dallas the other day and heard that this is a cool place to eat! My husband is from a Dallas so he was excited to take me here! And he bragged about it the whole way over! On how fresh their ingredients are and they have their own root beer flavor! I love root beer like I love to eat so that's why. Anyway; we arrived about 3pm and that place was packed!!! So we ordered western burger and onion strings! And of course grabbed some pickles in a jar! I think that's whats cool about this place! The variety of their pickles! And they are actually pretty delicious! But for me personally their burger is just ok; nothing to brag about. I mean it's jut like eating burger at any other burger joint! But it wasn't bad either so yeah. Their onion strings though is pretty good! I have to admit! Now I did try the root beer!! And it's so DELICIOUS!!!!!! And so I think personally for me their pickles and their root beer win me over! :) read more

Went here for lunch, and was completely blown away by my server, Shauna. Not only was she knowledgeable on the menu but she is sooooo nice! She even let me pick my celebrity card- Whitney Houston! Ate at a Twisted Root Burger Co for the first time in Lubbock, TX several years ago. Decided to stop by my local one now that I am a DFW resident and the burgers are as good as I remember them! They are cooked well, have lots of choices for toppings, and come out delicious. The fries on the other hand leave something to be desired. They are kind of soggy and have a lot of oil in them. A lot of people like these fries and they are decent, but I wish they were more crispy. The cheese fries / treat yo self fries are more than enough to share between two people. read more

OK, I hadn't been here in a couple years because I was tired of getting a dried out flavorless hamburger AFTER requested "medium". I now have a one year old son with celiac disease and my wife heard about the gluten free option for burger buns so she asked me to go again. Well, menu still says something like "burgers are cooked medium-well unless requested otherwise". Good news! I requested medium. It was burned to hell again and still flavorless. Toppings and bun were great, but I'll never understand how a burger place that focuses only on burgers can screw up so badly. And the gluten free bun was one of the worst tasting breads I've ever had. Probably not going to go back again. Hopefully the wife doesn't sucker me into that one again. read more

Great burgers. The onion straws were so good. Don't forget to get Root beer. Fun place.

Our food was really really bad! $70 for 4 people and the order wasn't right, sons burger should have had tx toast, it didn't, his and my burger were raw when we order them medium. They were almost cold in the middle.. My husband's burger didn't have BBQ sauce as it was ordered. It came just dry...they also didn't care whos sides went where so they just threw them an any box. and the whole order was cold and soggy when it got here like it has been sitting for the entire hour it took to be delivered. Honestly I've had better from dairy queen then this restaurant that claims to be on the more gourmet side. It was just BAD. Nobody finished their food and I felt like I wasted my money. read more
