Ok, I liked the burger an fries, but the watermelon flavored ice tea was great and refreshing. Yes the burgers are good and I had the lots a sroom with fries. The only thing I would have wanted is a slice of tomato on the burger, that would have made it better. With that said, I will go back to try them again here soon. read more

Great burgers, fun atmosphere. Really enjoyed the pickle varieties and root beer. Definitely worth a stop.

The burgers and fries here are delish and the service and atmosphere are great too. No matter how you like your burger, you can get it here. They have ten or twelve combinations and all the veggies are put on your plate to put together the way you want it. All sauces are on the side but tons to choose from, with the basics on the tables already. The only downside when I was here last was that it took quite a while. Made me late for my appointment afterwards, but it was worth it. And granted it was the noon hour. I look forward to coming back soon when it warms up and sitting outside at one of the tables. And I'll plan better to make sure I have time to enjoy every bite. read more

Amazing amazing amazing. This a great food you just might wait a couple a minutes for food like and good restaurant. But its soo worth it, just grab some amazing homemade root beer and sit back and relax and rnjoy yourself read more

I'll give them 4 for their specialty rootbeer & lemonade and interesting burger combinations (which do taste quite yummy). However, if you were to get just a plain burger, you'd be disappointed. While the burgers have a lot of meat, the meat does not have a lot of flavor - hence the very interesting combinations they offer! Also, I do love that you're a name and not a number! read more

Positives: The beef burgers come cooked medium, unless otherwise specified. The "pimped my fries" are everything you want chili cheese fries to be. The pickle selection is pretty awesome, even if the ranch flavored pickles were SUPER salty. The root beer is delicious! (We had the "karma-mel buttah pecant" root beer. SO good.) There are Chuck Norris jokes on the walls of the restrooms, and amusing bumper stickers on the backs of the chairs. The booths were really comfortable, for wooden benches. Negatives: The beef burgers aren't especially flavorful. The buns disintegrated as we ate our burgers. There were some flies flying around in the dining room. Overall, I'd say it was a pleasant experience. read more

Spicy goat burger for the win. Really nice customer service. Don't miss the pickle bar in the middle of the restaurant. I saw it on the way out. Will know for next time. read more

The flavor and offerings not the same as downtown location. Too much salt....on everything.

Place has a cool vibe. It's walk up ordering unless you sit at the bar. They do a variety of burgers or you can build your own. They have regular beef, Wagyu beef, local bison, or vegan (black bean, chickpea, quinoa) patties. They have about ten draft beers and they also make boozy milkshakes. We had awesome service and the food was great. I'm picky about fries and ours were amazing. Perfectly seasoned, not too thick. Definitely recommend this place! read more

Have heard a lot of great stuff about this place, and so we finally came. My fiancee and I ordered 2 burgers in the $7-$9 range, shared a side of fries ($2), and I got a $2 Lone star. Somehow, our bill was about $35. What happened? Between our 2 burgers, there was a $9 up-charge, for choosing the kangaroo meat. (At least, this is my guess). The itemized bill didn't even make sense, listing my $8.99 burger for $9.99, and with a $4 charge underneath if, for again, what I'm assuming was the meat. The same story for her burger. Now, I'm not saying the specialty meat should not cost more. I'm saying that the upcharges should have been clearly spelled out on the menu, and the cashier should have given us a heads up. That's just not cool. The burgers were good. But not great. And the portion size was on the small side. Overall, OK food + small portions + over-priced = us not coming back again. read more

OMG deeeeeelicious burgers and shakes! The Freshman 15 burger with fries, bacon, and an egg on it? Yes please!

Service was very friendly and good the fries were perfectly cooked and crunchy as well tasty! Shake was also pretty good no complaints. Only reason it doesn't have five stars is that it's not very clean. Floors were sticky tables werent kept clean when you went to sit down you had to clean then yourself and had a lot of flys inside bothering you while you eat. read more

I love this place!!! Every burger I have had has been fantastic. The service is great, and if you take the time to read the little signs around the restaurant and the Chuck Norris quips that are on the bathroom walls you will enjoy the stay. I only wish this location had the Frito Bandito.....that's a great burger. read more

Take a minute to read the menu and ask questions if you aren't sure about something. The staff is very helpful. All burgers are cooked medium well unless you specify your preference. We always order ours cooked medium, this very important if you choose Bison as it is naturally lean and may be a bit dry cooked medium well. Today I got the Western, pepper jack, bacon, jalapeño and onion stings, heaven on a bun. The burger was cooked exactly medium, warm pink center and still juicy. I remove the onion strings to eat separately because they are one of my favorites. The cheese was completely melted, bacon crispy and jalapeños were plentiful. My husband goes for a Kevin Bacon every time and as usual it was perfect. Plenty of crispy bacon and a generous amount of their delicious blue cheese. I normally don't get the bun with a burger but these are toasty and so good that I always take a couple of bites before I take the bun off. Lots of great beers to choose from, I would love to have a chilled glass but that's not an option. Our next visit we will try the custard shakes, they look wonderful. read more

Twisted Root Burger - Western burger and a Revolver Blood and Honey. - Burgers Near Me - Bedford, Texas

Overpriced and fries are too salty! In the bar area, I saw a roach in the cups were they serve milkshakes. Sometimes in the burger, the middle of it was raw. 100% not going here anymore!!!! read more

I will never be back. This used to be one of my favorite places, but unfortunately I cannot eat here or anywhere in the city if she is telling the truth. I think she just didn't want to cut my burger in half. On the off chance she was telling the truth, all I have to say is: Fuck the City of Bedford!!! #cutburgersmatter read more

This is the best burger I've ever had in my entire life. The burgers, the pickles, the sodas, the sauces, the atmosphere - seriously the most incredible restaurant I've been to. If you haven't been here, YOU NEED TO TRY IT!!!! read more

Meh. The food here is really inconsistent for takeout. Sometimes the burgers are on point - moist, flavorful and yummy. Other times the burgers are overcooked/burnt, tough and too salty. Like the burgers, sometimes the fries are great - crisp, but fluffy on the inside and well seasoned. Other times (in fact, several times) we have received bottom of the barrel fries that were essentially a mix of the bits and pieces that you would expect to find at the end of the bottom of the fryer (and with a pound of salt/seasoning). However, the inconsistencies haven't been enough for me to stop eating here. I genuinely do enjoy the burgers and fries when they are prepared well. I just need to make more of an effort to do dine in over take out since things are of a 4-star consistency when we at the location. read more

Awesome hamburger fries were great staff was fun and engaging not your typical hamburger joint definitely try it out

Best burger so far. They have their own sauce which is good with any sides. A lot of my friends were taking about this place. so went to try out with my girl definitely live up to the hype. read more

One of the best Burgers in town! Very consistent across all the locations. Thick, but not too thick. Lots of choices. Exotic meats also available. The bison is my fav. The only issue with this location is the very limited parking. Even when there are open tables inside the lot can be full. read more

We've been to the Bedford location a handful of times. The burgers are always fresh and cooked to order but the buns tend to be soggy. This is really my only complaint of the restaurant. Must try the root beer! read more

I thought it was very good. I don't like to build a burger because I like to try the "tried and true" burgers so I got the "The Spicy Goat". Not too spicy the heat was just right. There was just enough goat cheese on it to stay cool for the whole burger and made it a nice contrast. If I had anything negative to say I'd say it got a little meaty at the end. But most people don't mind a meaty burger. Fries were good and I like the interesting selection of drinks. read more

I live in San Jose, Ca....grew up in Texas and hamburgers were a staple in my home. I come to visit my Mother and sisters 2 to 4 times per year and this place rocks great burgers! I prefer places that build burgers to order, but Twisted Root has amazing meat. The beef hamburger is delicious and I'm sure the specialty burgers are good, but we are traditional and it was yummy. I ordered the turkey burger, maybe the best I've ever had and CA has some good ones. The buns were tasty too. Thank you Twisted Root, good burgers, good atmosphere and can handle large crowds as well. I'll be back! read more

This place is awesome the staff is great and he food rocks. Kim is an awesome person. Found my new go to burger place.

i love twisted root!!!! everything is always so tasty! this one is never super busy which is nice, but i'm scared it won't last long, so go! please for the love of burgers give them your money read more

I'll start by saying I LOVE Twisted Root! This was my first time at the Bedford location after many great experiences in Deep Ellum. We ordered two burgers to go, one verde with a gluten free bun, and one mushroom / Swiss with a regular bun. Got all the way home and found that the buns were switched. I'm highly allergic to gluten, so essentially a $10 burger went to waste. Not taking the time to drive back, just won't be visiting again. Hopefully management works on quality control a bit. Very disappointed! read more

Just dropped in for a burger and fries with my lovely bride. Burgers were OK. They took a long time and looked as if they sat around for a while before serving. Temperature was luke at best. The fries were cold. So I asked politely for a fresh hot batch. While standing at the counter I watched a cook rack two fresh drops out of the fryer. Thought I could just wait for some fresh fries. They told me 2 to 3 min. So I go back and sit back down. 5 to ten minutes later a server delivers to another table and asks if we were the couple requesting the extra fries. We said yes but had not received them yet. She went back and delivered some fries. They were warm at best but the worst part was the HAIR in amongst the fries. Never again at this location. Y'all really need to up your food service and quality game read more

This place is amazing. They have some really different meats like Buffalo, Yak and even Camel. I had a mushroom burger and fries and it was great. The bun was a little big for my taste but it was very good none the less. I will return here again. I left a work folder here on the 12th if August and when I called 2 days ago they still had it. Most places would have tossed it. Thank you Twisted Root Bedford read more

The menu variety is insane. The food is incredibly good. I recommend the bison burger or the elk burger. They have flavored drinks that are unique like almond joy root beer or watermelon sweet tea. They have a unique selection of pickles. The staff is friendly and it was nice and clean inside! Would recommend 10 out 10 times. read more

Very disappointed with the menu changes.... No more burger of the month, and they got rid of several of my favorite burgers from the menu, just make room for things like the "All American" burger, which they should call the "All Generic" burger. They have also reduced many customization options, in what appear to be cost cutting measures. What's more, is the cashier informed me that these changes were mandated at all locations. I am sad to say that Twisted Root seems to be evolving into another Corporate burger chain. I'll be spending my money at some of our other fine local burger establishments (that haven't sold out) from now on :) read more

I LOVE the shakes here and the Treat Yourself fries are my favorite cheat meal! The whole staff is always friendly and attentive and I really like the recent changes that have been made! Highly recommend! read more

Okay why would I pay $19.45 for a Burger Bowl , Sweet Potatoe Chips and a Milk Shake . Not ever again ! Food was not outstanding . Service was okay . read more

I had high hopes for this place I thought it was going to be a orgasmic expierence. Every time I wanted to try one of the game meats, they never have it in stock so thats always a bummer... The burgers are good but its to over priced for my liking. There was one time they messed up on our order and when I told them the manager made it sound like I was the worlds biggest pain in the ass. He gave us free sodas and made it seem like he was doing us a huge favor, don't mess up on taking a simple order then being a dbag because you messed up. read more

I went there with a friend from work and we both ordered the Goat Burger with sides. The burgers were very good, but the sides were disappointing. But the biggest disappointment was the staff. They were indifferent and more interested in their cell phones and personal interactions than they were in being attentive and polite to their customers. I get it that this is a burger joint and not a high end restaurant, but the crass attitude is inappropriate and a strong incentive for me to not go back. Note to wait staff and counter staff everywhere: middle age white folks wearing business casual may not win many cool points, but we're your customers and expect to be treated decently. Your snippy attitude, bad hygiene, and ghetto language are a sure fire ticket to mediocrity in your long-term future and potential unemployment in your near-term future. read more

I've gotta say I love Twisted Root. I've been to the location in Arlington a handful of times until I discovered this one and gave it a shot. I really love the layout of the inside, but I've gotta say that parking is awful sometimes. Drives me nuts that we live in a state where people find it necessary to park their trucks across two spots. I had to park across the street and walk over. But not really the restaurants fault, obviously, just be prepared on a busy night to have to park somewhere else. I pretty much always get the lots of shrooms with sweet potato chips, but this time I opted to try something new. I honestly can't even remember what it was called, but basically I got a turkey burger with fries mashed on it, cheese, and some other amazing stuff (sans the bacon). I've gotta say it was amazing. Way better than what I had been getting before and probably way less healthy, but hey treat yo'self am I right? My friend ordered some hawaiian or jamaican esque sandwich sans bacon. This is why they lose a star. Her and the checkout guy had a full on conversation about how she's vegetarian and he said, "you should do this and just take off the bacon" and she was like, "okay, lets do that!" And there was still bacon on it. And they didn't do anything to rectify the issue. BUT otherwise, we had a great experience. I think there are just some hiccups in the kitchen from time to time, this seems to be a common theme. read more

Just walked out of here, we walked in sat at the bar for ten minutes while employees looked at us and would not wait on us so we got up to left. Well, Twisted Root... love the patio area, however being one of the earliest customers (assuming) at 11:30 a.m. our table was so dirty from the overnight wind (or something?) that I had to use 2 of my grandbaby's wipes to clean the table off. Surrounding tables were no better, with left over crumbs etc, and during our stay of almost an hour, there was no sign of an employee coming out to check or tend. YUCK... However, the important part is that my bleu cheese burger "salad" was pretty good, although a bit pricey; $41 for 3 burgers, drinks and a shake. Would have enjoyed it more if we had a cleaner atmosphere! But I'll be back. read more
