Tasty fusion of Italian, Asian and Mexican flavors that's subtle rather than clashing. Some dishes are traditional, often with a twist. The appetizers were particularly creative. We had the Crostini, which was a nice mix of sweet tomato, fresh mozzarella and crunchy ciabatta. Some dishes have spice heat, but there are non-spicy options with great flavor. I had the Chicken Carciofi; the stuffing, which was the star, had a unique and tasty flavor. My wife went with the Stroganoff, which often she makes at home; Twisted Fork's braised beef version was a hit with her. We had a dessert that rivals good New York cheesecake - smooth, creamy but not soggy, with a pineapple topping that was infused with alcohol, not too sweet as so often happens with pineapple. Portions are in the sweet spot for me, neither a small tasting dish nor a huge platter. The bar was pretty extensive for a small local eatery. Service was friendly. The specials were described in detail, the server was attentive, and both the chef and owner took time to talk to us. When we went, around 4pm, the clientele was an even mix of older folks and twenty-somethings. I appreciate that they don't encourage tipping, European-style; there was no option for it on the credit/debit receipt. I imagine you could tip the old-fashioned way, with cash, if you really wanted to. Overall, Twisted Fork was an excellent experience. I'll be going back. read more

I dropped by Twisted Fork looking for a gluten free dinner. There were numerous options, including pasta. I chose the Strawberry Ginger salad with chicken and my husband had the Sesame Pear salad with salmon. Both were excellently prepared and LOADED with goodies, candied walnuts, cheese, fruit, and a more than adequate portion of protein. The tasty, light dressings were prepared in house. Other meals within my site looked delicious. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Excellent service and assistance with dietary issues. Our group of three went to Twisted Fork because we had heard that they paid their servers a living wage the way European restaurants do. We were also intrigued by the fusion menu. Which is Italian, Mexican and Asian. We started out with the Sake Sangria, and Spicy Soju Margaritas which were divine. Our appetizers were Pulled Pork Bao Tacos which were wonderful. We got Marsala (chicken) & Basil Cream Penne, TF Green Chile Alfredo and Sea Bass. We also had some grilled veggies absolutely perfect asparagus and sweet potato. YUM! The coffee was top notch and the deserts we tried the Fried Mochi Ice Cream and Cheesecake, the service was wonderful the food amazing and the staff so friendly and helpful. The ambiance was great too, not too dark, but not too bright with a great bar and we loved the small size which made it cozy. We will definitely be back to try other menu items which also looked pretty amazing, and no we do not know the owners we just really loved the vibe and the food! read more

Definitely adds much-needed variety to the ELP food scene. Went for brunch, which was solid. Need to go back to check out another menu. While brunch was really good, there just wasn't much on the morning menu that made me feel compelled to go back for breakfast. Definitely give it a try. You won't be disappointed. read more

Zach was our server and he was very attentive. He explained menu items precisely and clearly. I got the Thai Chile Pasta which was amazing;sweet and just a little spicy and the chicken was perfectly cooked. My mom got the Shrimp Scampi Noodles (a seasonal specialty) and it was also very good! The shrimp had a little spice but was nicely balanced with the garlic in the noodles. There was a side of garlic confit which was delicious spread on the accompanying toast. I made a dinner reservation for a large group because none of us had been here before. Emily was our server and she was great! It seemed like she was also making drinks so that kind of slowed things down. It took a while for us to get our food but we weren't in a rush so that was ok. Everyone enjoyed their food but they were out of potatoes, which was one of the included sides so most of us had to pay an upgrade fee when we selected another side. They were also out of a couple of beers that we wanted to order so we had to pick something else. While everybody enjoyed their food (steak, tuna tostadas, beef stroganoff), the short rib was literally 2 inches wide by 2 inches tall. I cut it into 3 bite-sized pieces and it was gone. The steaks were about the same price and were 4 times bigger. The beef stroganoff had about the same amount of rib meat but also came with mushrooms, noodles and bread and was less expensive. Even the tuna tostada appetizer was much bigger. Needless to say, I left hungry after paying almost $50 for 3 bites of meat and 2 up charged size orders. read more

This place has an interesting premise in that servers are paid a salary and tipping is not required. Based on that philosophy, items are priced higher to support having properly compensated servers. Their menu has a good variety of offering. The owner/ chef and chef do come out to greet patrons. I will say all the items had a good presentation. The bad part was that nothing out of the appetizers and entrees we ordered was particularly tasty. There was nothing that I ordered that I would consider returning for. In fact the dishes were mediocre at best. Hopefully they can tweak their recipes to offer a better dining experience. read more

Delicious with just the right amount of spicy! I don't think there is a place like this anywhere in town. The food spins 3 different cultures together. My family went during lunch time. We both got burgers that were perfectly cooked and delicious. I love me some chile and the green chile burger was perfect. We got some chicken tenders for our little and it was nice that they were not overly breaded and were very good. Our server was jacob and he gave us great recommendations. The atmosphere is nice, but small dining area the staff were great and I like that it is a tip free establishment. The food took a VERY long time to come out. They brought out the salads at the same time as the main dishes. The portions are small. They have 4 or 5 pasta dishes but it seems they use the same pasta in all of them. The green chile fettuccini (fettuccini sauce but not noodles) was overly spicy while the green chile Mac and cheese was not spicy at all. The fettuccini was more spicy than the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. It was nice to try something new but both my son and I decided that it is not likely a place we would go back to given the many choices available in the city. read more
