This is my first time coming back here since COVID started due to hesitation around safety of a self-serve place. However after 10 months, I was very glad to see they were still on top of all safety protocols. As we walked in, the worker told us to put on gloves in the back before handling the ice cream handles. And when we were ready for toppings, she asked us to social distance and back up until the group in front finished. The lady came off a bit brusque but I think that's just how she always is, she made small talk at the end as we were paying. The froyo itself is always good. I like pistachio and nutella flavors, and there's also almond milk based flavors as well. Since my last time here months ago, they now have a chocolate candy case plus unique items like hot chocolate bombs. Not sure if these are special items for valentine's day. I've always loved this place. I've been coming here since they opened., today, I had a lovely experience of dealing with the new girl with the bad attitude "Delilah" she didn't ask me if I wanted a receipt or if I wanted a bag and then I was told rudely have a good one. I'm not sure if it was because I didn't give her a tip, but I don't always tip for something that I get myself and you just ring up. One of the regular employees came up to me and asked me if I wanted a bag because Miss attitude walked away as soon as she rang up my order I said no I had asked for a bag. I said is she new and the regular employee with an exhausted look on her face said yes. I'm assuming she's a problem on a regular basis. Would I recommend this place? Absolutely the store is clean. The yogurt is delicious and they have a great selection of toppings and the employees are usually very good and very nice. Just don't ask for this employee if she's ringing up your order. Then as I was walking out, she tells the other employee loudly as I was walking out "She had an attitude" that's not true. I'm always kind to all people that are working and trying to make a living. What I particularly love about this place is that it is a self service business from the frozen yogurt to the toppings. You get what you want but know that when you get to that scale, it will add up and cost you but it's all worth it. I enjoyed my purchase and so did my niece. I've been visiting this establishment since they opened. I always enjoy a delicious yogurt after work or on a Sunday afternoon. I like the place. They have many flavors and toppings. (Please bring back the peach flavor). I have always had a good experience but the only ISSUE that I hope the owner takes into consideration is her attitude towards her employees. My daughter always wanted to try frozen yogurt. It was our first time here and the staff was very friendly and helpful. My son who is 4 gets very hyper and we was able to give him just a small sample and the staff didn't charge us or get angry or anything. My daughter on the other hand wanted to sample quite a few things and the staff was very helpful and patient and helped us we chose a nice size cup and was able to pick all our toppings and only paid around 7 bucks which was very cheap due to 3 people ate it.. we definitely will be visiting again soon. read more

Yesterday I locked my keys in the car after putting my frozen yogurt and pocketbook on the front seat. The owner and staff went above and beyond to help me. The owner walked to the fire house herself and came back with 5 fire fighters who were able to get my car opened within minutes!!! The employee inside let my 5 year old son watch whatever channel he wanted on the tv and let me use his cell phone several times. When the owner returned I thanked her and she even offered to replace my melted frozen yogurt. It was my boyfriend and I first time coming here last night and everything was going great. We chose our flavors and toppings. Whilst we were choosing our toppings we noticed the cashier ( tall Caucasian male wearing glasses) said a few smart remarks. We tried to ignore it. I knew it was late and thought he was having a bad day. There were no spoons to take the toppings and another girl came out the back and gave us some spoons. It was time to pay and cashier was so rude, obnoxious and acted as if we weren't even humans. Not sure if he was racist towards us because we are of Indian decent. He didn't even give us the spoons to eat the yogurt. I've never walked into a restaurant, yet a yogurt spot and been treated this way. We literally wanted to throw our yogurt at him. This place was great in the beginning with lots of different variations of froyo's but now every time i go it seems as though it's the same flavors. On another note, the girls from the summer are so sweet & let you try as many flavors as you'd like but the older lady from the winter is so rude. You ask for a tasting cup & she answers in such a rude tone "I'll do it. What flavor?"... definitely waiting for the better weather so at least the employees are happy to be there and are eager instead of giving commission to a rude one. If I could give this place less than one star I would. I went there today at 5:36 pm to try some yogart with some tasty toppings and get some sweet treats for my niece ( I was eying the popcorn and the candied marshmallows). Upon entering the young girl wiping the counter did not acknowledge or greet me. I proceeded to the toppings to pick my choice and finalize my selections; though I was the only customer in the store, the clerk still would not come over, nor did she acknowledge me when I informed her that I was ready to order.... unacceptable! You can taste the yogurt before you buy it! I do not like Pinkberry or chain fro yogurts for the most part. This was very good the pricing reasonable but most importantly it was super friendly and warm. Howard Beach is not know for being friendly. It is known for treating people who visit there like they do not belong. maybe they are starting a new trend. The address needs to be changed it is not in Manhattan it is in Queens in Howard Beach. Really super friendly service by an older gentleman and he let us try different flavors. They also had something I forgot to take pictures of. They had Ghirardelli Chocolate syrup , milk chocolate, white chocolate and caramel. I had a unique flavor called Zeusberry. Berry delicious! It is high in antioxidants, a mix of Acai, Goji berry, Blueberry and Strawberry combined. The cone cup was really good! Too many times cones cups become soggy when loaded with an icy treat. But this did not. It was a welcome cool treat on the last day of the heat wave! (NYC went from the longest winter of my life to a straight up heat wave! No spring) So this Fro Yo helped us to adjust to the heat! My hubby had Nutella and Pistachio. There were popular flavors like salted caramel and so on. Not my thing but there is something for everyone! I only recently have been to Howard Beach in the last year or so because of it's reputation. This store makes the area feel a lot more welcoming! This is not the best frozen yogurt I have had but it does seem to be the best in the area, cleaner and friendlier than anything else in the area! I would rate this frozen yogurt shop three and a half stars. It has the typical selection of frozen yogurts, sorbets, and toppings that you find at these shops. Will definitely not be coming back here. I've been here about 4 or 5 times and haven't had a negative experience until this last experience that happened yesterday. I made my fro yo and brought it to the counter as I normally would. The cashier that has always checked me out was not there. She's always polite and makes conversation. Instead, there was another lady and a young boy who looks like he could be her son. I stood there for like 5 minutes before they even acknowledged my presence. I've never had to wait that long, and its not like they hadn't seen me. We locked eyes and everything before they finally decided to acknowledge me. I will admit that they were doing things.. the boy seemed like he was preparing online orders and I'm not sure what the lady was doing. My thing is , if you're busy you could just let me know " hey i'll be with you in a moment" but locking eyes with me and just ignoring me? Disrespectful. To add insult to injury, When the boy finally did decide to acknowledge me he goes "what do you want?". What I wanted was to throw the fro yo right in his face but I kept composure, as one should. A part of me feels that this may have been racially motivated, as I am an AFRICAN AMERICAN woman and the workers were caucasian. What makes me feel that this may have been racially motivated is that i see some reviews on yelp about customers who have felt racially profiled by employees at this establishment. I was early for a birthday party in the Howard Beach area and needed to kill time so I went to "Twist It Top It". Unfortunately, there wasn't a lot of flavors to try here. Most of them were ordinary like Chocolate, Vanilla, and Strawberry. Being that everybody and their mother are opening ice cream and yogurt shops, you would expect a bit more variety in their flavors. But they did have Milky Way, which I love and a bit of Pistachio. I do give them points for offering lots of toppings and different flavored-syrups of the top brand (Ghirardelli). I garnished my ice cream with caramel-filled turtles, strawberry-flavored jellies, gummy bears, and caramel syrup with a cherry on top. I come here very often to try their frozen yogurts. So far, i like their tart, vanilla, pistachio, COOKIES and CREAM and dulce de leche. Their toppings are to die for. They have brownies, peanut butter cups, cherries, pecans, walnuts and so much more. The atmosphere is very friendly and the owner is always there to make sure you have napkins or if you need anything. You can also sit outside which is clever because the space inside is very limited. This is my new fave frozen yogurt place. Quick tip - make sure you don't overfill your container with frozen yogurt and toppings. It can be really expensive if you go overboard because they weigh it. Personally I love twist it top it, the yogurts great, there's so many toppings to pick from and normally the staff is is very polite. However my latest trip there about a week or so ago there were two staff members arguing, the older taller man with glasses was very disrespectful to his co-worker, raising his voice, and pointing his finger in the other boys face, the other boy didn't say anything in response. I am shocked that this man would act so recklessly in front of the few customers that were there. Very unprofessional on his part. It's a cute spot. I 1st tried it in tx and really enjoyed it. Found this location in Howard Bch NY. Had my husband try it and now we go a few items a month. If the weather permits they have outside seating and the inside is a nice wide space. I really enjoy the idea of building my ice cream.
