Love that these ices are made in NYC!

These are delicious! The only reason I tried them was because they have an interesting looking and different type of packaging (I love authentic ethnic foods/treats/desserts) and because they were on sale lol. I got the coconut cream and yuuuum, so smooth and creamy. I'll love these on a hot day, but don't mind if I do on a rainy, chilly day like today either! They are pretty big and quite satisfying. Negatives are that they are marketed as "healthy"--*gives skeptical side eye*--let's be for real, these aren't healthy. But if you're going to have a treat it's best that cane sugar and natural, whole ingredients are used (although I noticed they contain some artificial flavors as well). At 160 calories each, I sadly have to keep myself from devouring the whole box. Agreeing with the packaging complaints, I wanted to rip one open on the way home and the packaging requires scissors to do so, womp. My greedy self had to wait a couple of blocks to chow down. Supposedly these are in bodegas all over the city, but I have yet to spot them or maybe it's because I didn't know to look. The Associated on Ave C and 8th Street carries them and I'm about to go back for the batata flavor tonight before the sale runs out!

I live in Florida so it's a real treat to find this brand down here. These are the best ices/ice creams I have ever had.

Really big fan of the batata flavor. Love that it is family owned and operated in the best borough there is - Queens.

Maybe I'm being presumptuous because I only had one flavor (batata) but these ice pops r seriously good.

Italian icee! This business is a walk-up window kiosk as there is very limited outdoor seating - rain or shine. There is absolutely no indoor seating. I sat on their outdoor bench to consume my little Italian ice because I could not continue to trek home in the oppressive extreme heat high temperature. My trusty Yelp mobile application takes my foodie travels to Mike's Italian Ices as the nearest Italian ice business. I requested strawberry flavor as my choice of Italian ice and it was full of ice, but insufficient flavor. The flavor was very weak as I tasted mostly water from the ice. The ice as the base ingredient is not completely crushed. Near the bottom of my one small scoop $4.00 it became a small block of ice which is the same kind found in a frozen ice pop purchased in a supermarket. I remember eating a lot of frozen ice pops as a child purchased from supermarkets, but I don't like it. Not my cup of tea. Customer service is average the young male staff managed to muster a smile through the extreme heat. I had to flag to capture an associate's attention for service. I believe the employees are students working the summer months as pocket money. My sales receipt states cherry as my chosen flavor, but in truth it is strawberry. I am glad I decided on small size as I cannot stomach eating water and ice for either medium or large size icee. I certainly will not purchase either a medium or large cup of Italian ice nor ice cream for any possible return visits. The menu is affixed to their door, no vexatious large television monitors hanging overhead. I highly prefer their longtime competitors Ralph's Italian Ice and Uncle Louie G for both high quality and utter intense flavor.

Since we were in Forest Hills, Queens, and I had never been here, we chose to go to Eddie's. This place is really good, with an extensive menu of desserts ranging from soda floats to banana splits and many other little treats. A sweet lover's paradise. Personally, when it comes to ice cream or sweets, I tend to keep it simple. Give me a good vanilla ice cream scoop and I am a happy person. Give me a great ice cream scoop and I am even happier. Let's just say I left this place very satisfied. I had my basic yet delicious ice cream scoops. Yum. I am currently following a strict diet regimen for one more month, but after that, I will definitely come back for some of their tasty ice cream. My son, wife, and friends were also enjoying their sweets. This is a great place. They have seats, but it gets really busy and there is usually a bit of a wait. Yet that is not a bad thing. It shows how popular the place is. If you are looking for sweets, come check this place out.

From the decor to the serving cups you are getting no frills but great quality. Its a traditional ice cream parlor. And im not mad at it. They have counter seating for small groups to tables in the back. We had a group of 6 and was seated quickly. I had the ice cream float with root beer syrup. The vanilla ice cream sat delicately on top of the soda. The soda wasn't overly sweet and fizzy. I had time to enjoy the ice cream and the soda separately. My daughter had vanilla ice cream with rainbow sprinkles. There was not a sprinkle in sight when she was done. This isn't our first time. Nor will this be our last. All the ice cream flavor are of great quality. The fudge to the sundae is classic. Ideal for after dinner or date night after a movie. Dont forget to bring cash.

I'm so glad this particular location was open because we drove to a different location at first which was still closed and we were worried that none of them would be open. They are definitely trying to be more careful due to COVID-19, with employees wearing masks and a sign on both doors asking people to maintain social distancing. The number of people who ultimately end up in the store though is just a function of how respectful and rule-following the other customers who come at the same time are. When my family arrived, we waited outside until the couple ahead of us were done. While waiting, another family arrived. They were completely maskless and breathing down our necks. Needless to say, I was extremely uncomfortable- though this is no fault of Cold Stone itself, just a potential issue that you may run into when visiting this store (or any store without anyone regulating the line). In terms of taste, the flavors were very refreshing and well blended as Cold Stone always is. My sister and I got a large Strawberry Blonde and my parents got a large chocolate peanut combination. The sizes were enormous! Oh how I've missed ice cream shops.. The Strawberry Blonde had large chunks of strawberry and swirls of caramel throughout. For a strawberry lover like myself, this was a no-brainer to order! Definitely a great place to visit but I would implore people to wear masks and practice social distancing!
