Love that these ices are made in NYC!

These are delicious! The only reason I tried them was because they have an interesting looking and different type of packaging (I love authentic ethnic foods/treats/desserts) and because they were on sale lol. I got the coconut cream and yuuuum, so smooth and creamy. I'll love these on a hot day, but don't mind if I do on a rainy, chilly day like today either! They are pretty big and quite satisfying. Negatives are that they are marketed as "healthy"--*gives skeptical side eye*--let's be for real, these aren't healthy. But if you're going to have a treat it's best that cane sugar and natural, whole ingredients are used (although I noticed they contain some artificial flavors as well). At 160 calories each, I sadly have to keep myself from devouring the whole box. Agreeing with the packaging complaints, I wanted to rip one open on the way home and the packaging requires scissors to do so, womp. My greedy self had to wait a couple of blocks to chow down. Supposedly these are in bodegas all over the city, but I have yet to spot them or maybe it's because I didn't know to look. The Associated on Ave C and 8th Street carries them and I'm about to go back for the batata flavor tonight before the sale runs out!

I live in Florida so it's a real treat to find this brand down here. These are the best ices/ice creams I have ever had.

Really big fan of the batata flavor. Love that it is family owned and operated in the best borough there is - Queens.

Maybe I'm being presumptuous because I only had one flavor (batata) but these ice pops r seriously good.

This classic and favorite dessert spot still has its magic. When we arrived, there was a line on both sides- to sit down and the to go order. Since today is our first visit here but not our friends, we patiently waited for our turn to get a table. Corner table is not bad. We picked one of their best selling items- banana split, 2 scoops of ice cream. Comes with free whipped cream , choice of syrup, rainbow sprinkles a cherry. Extra charge for any added item like any toppings. Price is reasonable for the serving size, it can be shared. The server is ready to give extra cutlery. A glass of water should be asked, not automatically given. There is nothing extraordinary for the taste of the ice cream except the fact that all flavors are home made. The 1930's decors, classic kitchen gadgets, existing old style but refurbished furniture's , is selling popular candies in early 30's and original atm machines version still working are things that make this place extraordinary , an additional things to look forward to and keeping customers coming back. A monopoly Queen's edition board game puts a smile on my face when I find out that they are selling it for a good fee and includes a $20 gift card with it. Right away purchased it. Definitely coming back to try their other popular and hot items. By the way when we are about to leave, there was a long line waiting for seats.

As the city's oldest continuous ice cream parlor, it has been bringing cloud nine to dessert lovers for nearly one hundred years. Unlike modern shops using pre-made bases, this joint makes all of its small batch ice cream, syrups, and incredibly thick whipped cream right on the establishment. Costumers acclaim the original early 1900s ambiance, featuring vintage marble countertops, heavy wood accents, a historic old refrigerator, and antique swivel stools. They are famous for their spectacular, towering sundaes loaded with all your favorite toppings. Digital payments are not an option so first-timers might be surprised. For around $12, guests enjoy a generous two-scoop sundae, though some find it a bit pricey. Cozy limited space, big demand! Weekend wait times may vary.

I'm so glad this particular location was open because we drove to a different location at first which was still closed and we were worried that none of them would be open. They are definitely trying to be more careful due to COVID-19, with employees wearing masks and a sign on both doors asking people to maintain social distancing. The number of people who ultimately end up in the store though is just a function of how respectful and rule-following the other customers who come at the same time are. When my family arrived, we waited outside until the couple ahead of us were done. While waiting, another family arrived. They were completely maskless and breathing down our necks. Needless to say, I was extremely uncomfortable- though this is no fault of Cold Stone itself, just a potential issue that you may run into when visiting this store (or any store without anyone regulating the line). In terms of taste, the flavors were very refreshing and well blended as Cold Stone always is. My sister and I got a large Strawberry Blonde and my parents got a large chocolate peanut combination. The sizes were enormous! Oh how I've missed ice cream shops.. The Strawberry Blonde had large chunks of strawberry and swirls of caramel throughout. For a strawberry lover like myself, this was a no-brainer to order! Definitely a great place to visit but I would implore people to wear masks and practice social distancing!

The music and elegance of the atmosphere was rejuvenating and relaxing. I was so glad we walked into this beautiful hidden gem on Jamaica Avenue. I couldn't believe that such a place existed here. I felt like I walked into a restaurant in Manhattan. We started with drinks. Kids drinks came in plastic containers while adult drinks came in glass ones. We ordered Diet Coke, Sprite, Mango juice and Strawberry juice. The juices were thirst quenching and hydrating. We had steak and eggs for the 1st time and it was perfectly pink in the center with a crispy, juicy exterior. The potatoes were just right. The Eggs Benedict was just right with the yolk oozing out after you bite into it. The fettuccine Alfredo was sauced just right, not too much or too little. The California Omelette was delicious and done just right. The kids pancake was just the way our kids liked them, with sliced strawberries on top. The strawberries were so yummy, we ordered a side of them just for our kids to munch on. It was smart to give our kids crayons to draw on the paper tablecloth. It kept them busy and helped our family create a happy memory of tic-tac-toe between parents and kids. POP's Cocina & Bar definitely deserves my Yummylicious Stamp of Approval and two thumbs up! Thank you so much for an amazing foodie experience!

I ordered Chicharon de Pollo with rice and beans, a common, no nonsense dish. It was soon presented exquisitely with three dishes Manhattan style and nicely garnered. Sorry no picture as I soon asked for a regular plate to eat my food all together Dominican Style. Brick walls accented with floor to ceiling windows and nuvo chic music with a heavy downbeat competed for my attention. I honestly thought this was a typical diner. So the restaurant was a total surprise. The Chicharon just chicken breast, cut and fried. But it was acceptable. Ugh. 4% service charge. Not cool. I still tipped well but the meal was already over priced. I was willing to make an exception but I also had to wait at the bar for my final bill.
