The next day, I decided I wanted to change the color and returned to the salon. While she was repainting my nails, she called over a coworker and began speaking in another language. It was obvious they were discussing my nails, and even the coworker appeared uncomfortable with the situation. It made me feel singled out and disrespected. To make matters worse, I was charged for the nail polish reapplication, even though I had just had the service done the day before. As I was leaving, Helen held the door open for a previous customer, but when I walked out just moments later, she did not extend the same courtesy to me. While this may seem like a small gesture, after the rest of my experience, it added to the feeling that I was being treated differently. In addition to the customer service issues, the salon itself could benefit from a more thorough cleaning and better overall maintenance. I believe the staff would also benefit from additional customer service training to ensure every client is treated with respect and professionalism.
