I was referred to The Nail Shoppe by a few friends and with it being under new management, I decided to try it out again. I made an appointment for myself and my girls for our upcoming bridal event and boy, I was not disappointed. They offered different options and staffs were super friendly. I love the professionalism and the vibe I had with my nail artist, Anne. I love her work and my nails came out so GORGEOUS. I will definitely be back to get my nails did again when I visit by this super talented artist. I will be back very soon for a pedicure. If I could give this a 0 I would. I walked in this morning, there was one customer. I didn't have an appointment, but they said they could take me. I wanted to get my GelX removed, replaced with a gel manicure, a 'luxury' pedicure and eyebrow wax. I am here visiting family and wanted to treat myself to some nice fresh nails and this place has good reviews. The girl was either Lynn or Laura based on the roster I saw, that had a only 2 appointments recorded for the day. The girl who did my nails was the one not wearing glasses. The shop was not busy. She immediately burned my pinky finger with the little roller thing, as she was moving the roller over my nails super fast, she didn't even apologize. She wrapped the nails in the alcohol and cotton to soak. I sat down for the pedicure and she lazily handed me a crusty, stained neck pillow that was too hot. Then she rushed my pedicure, not clipping my cuticles thoroughly, she didn't even cut all of my toenails. She didn't scrub my feet, the water was cold and not relaxing for my pedicure. I was clearly suffering with the nick in my pinky finger that she burned, I said multiple times it was stinging. The pedicure was not luxury whatsoever. When we got to the rest of the manicure, she was still moving too fast and when I mentioned this to her she said 'oh at the beginning i go fast, but then i go slower' (?!?!) which is the dumbest thing I've ever heard, she didn't even get all the gel off my nails. She then sat there blaming ME for having 'sensitive nails' and tried making excuses for her awful job being done and I really didn't want to her it by this point. She was sitting there almost arguing with me, so I asked her to just finish please, that I changed my mind about the additional services. I decided I didn't want her to touch my face and canceled the eyebrow wax and getting any polish on my hands/feet, because seeing this experience so far, I wasn't going to pay more money for gel that will chip or fall off in 2 days and with her lack of care was showing me this was already a waste of money. The salon was also filthy, the floor dirty and stained as through it has not been swept or mopped in a few days, it certainly wasn't cleaned last night before they closed. The shop is crusty, tape holding stuff together everywhere. There is no way in hell this place has real awards. No way, it was disgusting and disappointing. She didn't even file them properly. I had to come back hoe and fix them myself. Not worth the $80 in ANY WAY. If you don't want to be a nail technician - get another job. I drove 20 minutes to get here too because it seemed like a good bet. I was wrong. Don't go here!! read more

Was an OK experience, nothing fancy just a new set and gel. The tech was very rushed and there was only three clients and five techs, she kept trying to rip my dip off my natural nails until I asked her to stop because it was hurting and damaging my nails. The salon has a ton of color options and they work fast but it was not a relaxing experience. read more

Truly had a wonderful experience today at The Nail Shoppe. As we walked in I immediately noticed how clean the shop is. Vinny and Anne acknowledged hubby and I right away with a friendly smile.Vinny came up and showed us how to sign in. Vinny and Anne are the friendliest, attentive, engaging people we have ever encountered in a nail shop. When I called to check on prices I spoke with Anne. Anne took time explaining their prices and informed me of what their weekly specials were. After speaking with her I said this is where we should go. I'm so glad we did. We had a great time and our nails and feet look and feel amazing. We left feeling like we had known Vinny and Anne for years! We normally travel over to Tyrone area in St. Pete for our mani/pedi. This was a last minute stop for me. I so happen to be around the area (visiting my sister) and made the stop. I forgot the nail tech's name, who did nails. She was nice. The store was closing and she managed to work me in (since I wanted something simple). Gel nail polish. They're pricey from what I usually pay for gel on natural nails. But with kind service and meticulous work from the nail tech, it's well worth it. I'll be back if I'm around Bradenton. Keep up the good work. read more

My husband and I were here last week and thought it would be great! We are moving and looking for a spot closer to our new home. We arrived at our appointment time and were led to the chairs. The technicians were not friendly which I really don't mind. My husband's toe was cut with the technician's tool during the pedicure. He stated later that she used a tool that was on her tray. About 3-4 days later he developed an infection on the same leg. He had to go on antibiotics and was in severe pain. I would not recommend going here and plan to file a complaint with the state licensing board! Sanitized tools are a MUST!!!! read more

I have been going to The Nail Shoppe for at least 7 years. I picked them because they truly listen to what you say. Now it's under new management from Na and Wang, and boy can I tell you how different it is. For the new people it's nickel and dime the clients to death with less quality. You feel like you are on an assembly line, exactly what many of us avoid. I sat there and listened to the new owner tell other clients that she doesn't care if anyone stays or leaves, because she doesn't want anyone who can't make their appointments online only. Since 1/2023 under new management. Man & woman. Not customer focused. Cut toenails too short, got ingrown nails both feet. Male tech would not listen when told he was hurting me. Argued when told he caused nail issues that required podiatrist. There is a reason salon is empty most of time. Would never recommend these techs. . The new owner Anne doesn't even bother to say hello as you enter the door. These new owners want to nickel and dime you over every single service. I have been going to this salon for several years, about 6. I have loved the small and inviting atmosphere that Na and her crew have built. The shop was sold to new management, about a month and a half ago. While I was quite sad to hear the news, I was also excited to give the new owner a try. After hearing of the news, I requested that my next appointment be moved the the new owner, Anne, which was done for me. When I arrived to my appointment, however, Anne had bumped me from her schedule. She was sitting and working on an out of town walk-in and I was placed with another nail tech. I had been excited to work with her and give the new owner the chance she deserved, but she apparently was not interested in doing so. It was very disappointing. I went to the Nail Shoppe based on reviews from Yelp because I was desperate to get a good set. The salon was super clean and friendly. The guys working on my nails took his time did a fantastic job - he said that he wanted to put tips on because my nails were so short he didn't think dip powder would look good without tips... fine - no problem. I've been getting my nails done for YEARS so I'm okay with that. Fast forward to a week later and I'm pulling laundry out of my washer. MY PINKY NAIL POPPED OFF. Cleanly. Didn't hurt or struggle to come off and a tip PLUS 3 coats of dip powder. I'm dumbfounded. EDIT: I decided not to post this after calling the salon and getting the two nails fixed for free (another one came off shortly after I drafted the review.... ugh).. But then...... after grabbing a towel from our closet (mind you, 3 days after getting my 2 nails fixed and him putting glue on ones that felt loose), another nail AND tip completely popped off with no struggle. I want to like them, I really do. It's just suspicious that 3 nails total have popped off after normal house chores in less than 2 weeks of getting them done. read more

Why 5 stars? I wish I could give 10. I have finally found my nail place after 4 long years of searching. Why is the nail shoppe this awesome? 1. Exceptionally clean.- when I say clean I mean like eat off the floor clean. All equipment is sanitized or thrown out after one use. 2. They immediately treat you like family. From the moment you walk in, you are called by your first name. They get to know you on a personal level. The tv is on some great channel like lifetime and the entire shop gets involved in conversations about what we are watching. 3. The nails are extraordinary. Na does an amazing job. I got some amazing 3D flowers put on my acrylic and gels. Pedicure was awesome. I'm pretty sure I almost drooled from how relaxed I was. 4. Price. How can anyone compete with the pricing? I'd love to tell you her pricing but much to my enjoyment, no prices are posted. Your aren't hit with a laminated pricing sheet and asked to choose which one you want. You just go with the flow. I can tell you for a full set of acrylic nails, gel polish, beautiful designs, and a pedicure ran me 67.00. 5. If you want your nails done, call ahead and make an appointment. While I'm sure they would love to have everyone that walks in the door, that's impossible. They aren't looking to make the quick dollar. 6. Leave the kids at home. This nail salon really had no space for kids, which quite frankly I enjoy as I want to relax when I am getting my nails done. I can't wait to go back.! read more

Read the glowing reviews and was super excited to come here, especially since I was hoping for a coffin-shape, which is something I had seen done successfully in pictures from this location, so I thought it would be no problem. The location is clean and cute and the staff is super friendly but my manicure wasn't what I asked for. I showed my technician a picture of the shape I was going for just to make sure we were on the same page, but somehow I ended up with really, really square nails. He asked me toward the end about the shape so admittedly part of the blame falls on me for not speaking up then and having him fix it but at that point I really didn't have the time as I had another appointment I needed to get to. I ended up grabbing some files on my way home later and filing in my bathroom for the next 30 minutes trying to get the shape I had wanted. I was disappointed after seeing the pictures from this shop and knowing that there are technicians here who can absolutely do what I asked for, and that somehow even after showing a picture I ended up with a shape very different from what I wanted. read more
