If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. My friend went to Essentials for a facial with Marita, and during the session, Marita asked her to remove her David Yurman 18k bracelet. My friend didn't see where Marita put it because she took it off for her. The bracelet was sentimental and now it's missing. My friend filed a police report, but nothing has been done. Marta should own up to taking the bracelet and return it. My friend might have made a mistake by letting her take it off, but she was just trying to be polite. This situation is incredibly upsetting, and Marta should apologize and return the bracelet or face consequences. This needs to be investigated thoroughly as it's possible she's done this to others too. read more

I had scheduled myself for a prenatal massage . I was long overdue and having a lot of back pain. It was a very awkward for me with inappropriate comments towards a woman that is happily pregnant . I was told how she's had so many prenatal massages in a week and how Florida is already way too populated . She told me how her sister lost her baby out of nowhere so you "just never know ". She said she could only help my sciatic pain by laying on my stomach, which isn't true because last time I had severe pain I was 7 months pregnant and laid on my side and another therapist was able to fix it. She talked for the entire 50 mins while leaning over me . I just wanted to relax and enjoy getting away for an hour , but it really left me more irritated than anything . I don't normally post, but I felt like I needed to so other pregnant women do not go here for a prenatal massage . I booked 3 services a month ahead on line and called to rebook due to storm only to find out they didn't have my appointment even though I had the name of the service woman Holly. Ok so they were able to REALLY book me and front desk girl was very accommodating, so that's how I came up with a 3 rating for that so far. Now for my services: I started with a bikini wax that was ABSOLUTELY terrible. As nice as Dream (my technicians name) was she lacks in her service. I asked to change to a BRAZILIAN and she apparently didn't understand. The wax was dry and pulled on my skin and the removal was painful. Next procedure was a Microbrasion facial which I live because of the machine extractions. She worked it form maybe 5 minutes and the product application didn't even feel like my skin was clean or pores opened. I have had MULTIPLE facials and decided on this place due to their reduced price ( I guess u get what u pay for) my face still shows white head and didn't glow at the finish. The final service, also with DREAM was a back facial. She scrubbed it and did seem to extract one pimple and I know I have many more and don't use the magnifying lamp on either facials. TOTAL time for all 3 services was 50 minutes when it usually takes an hour just for the face. In a positive note the total cost was $165 which isn't bad but would rather pay more to get more I will not be back. Dream was a "dream" in personality and said she was doing more than I ordered. read more

I had to cancel an appointment for a massage. It was last minute (about 30 minutes before) so they told me I would be charged a $40 cancelation fee. First of all, I think that is a little hefty since the actual massage is only $50-$55 but this is my real problem with being charged. Not once, but TWICE, I have driven all the way to Essentials of Bradenton (about a 45 min round trip) only to get there and be told that my massage therapist did not show up and they could not get a hold of them. How come this is ok for them but not for us? How come my time and gas are not worth anything?? They offered me nothing either time to compensate me for my time. I barely got an apology but yet they can charge me almost the cost of the massage. The therapist had talked me into going every other week to work on some issues but that is not going to happen now. I will be taking that business somewhere else. read more

When I pay for an hour I want an hour. Not 45 minutes or even 30 minutes but an hour. I think this establisment's therapist are all fresh out of school and or simply lack experience. They really do not know what they are doing. I said "My head hurts. Primary focus back, neck." She wanted to "pull my hair". I said "OK but my primary is my back and neck. Lower upper the entire back and shoulders and neck." Said that three times at min. Music didn't work she stopped to take 5 minutes to try to make it work. I told her I didn't care as I lay there thinking will she rub my back? But no she spent time on my legs and feet. That is not what I wanted. Even at that the massage was light and it did nothing for me. She put a hot towel on my feet. I thought maybe my feet were dirty being I had been wearing sandals all day and I apologized. But no she was rubbing my feet with a wet towel. Anyone that knows me knows that is a big what the freaking hell do you think you are doing to me moment for me. I hate to be licked by dogs or any thing at that. I do not want to be wipped with a wet towel of any sort so image my disgust when she put a wet towel on my back and then covered it with a blanket. I get it they want to remove the oil but I assure you you can wipe oil off with a dry towel to. The massage itself was not great. I HATE and I mean HATE it when people use their arm and very slowly drag it down your back. It is rare I come across this and I hate it. That was the majority of my back which lasted 10 minutes. The majority of the massage was on my right leg and my right hand. NO idea why. I left in teh same shape I came in. AND it was more like a 35 minute massage and not an hour but I got charged for an hour. I wasn't going to say anything but I was honest when the receptionist asked how it was and I said "well my head still hurts and my back does. It was not what I wanted or thought it would be and that was not an hour." She said I should call the manager and let her know. I thought no point in it establishments like this do not care about one person. Then I got a water and came through the door to see her talking about me to the girl who was my "therapist" about me. That really pissed me off. So I sat down and waited for my significant other to come out from his massage. He went back at the same time and came out 15 minutes later than myself. HIs was much better in experience but he agrees the staff is severely under experienced. We will not be back His experience was decent and he was much more relaxed which is why I left two stars. I sincerley at this moment do not have a ton of money and certainly nothing to waist. So this was a treat for the two of us. Though I'm very happy he was taken care of I'm annoyed that I wasited my money on myself. read more

I made appointment for 3 of us for my daughters birthday. The package so we all were to get a massage, facial, and foot detox. We all started off with our massages which we all felt were great. Then we were put In Another waiting room. Dream came in to get Anna and said they had her scheduled and my Daughter scheduled at the same time. Not true she was suppose to do my daughter's facial and instead took this other lady Anna and took my daughter and put her in foot detox. The next lady came back looking for Anna.... We said another lady dream came and took her. Then all of a sudden oh no dream messed up the schedule. We were brought to the front desk and tried to figure out what to do who is doing what and when. My sister said take me and then switch. They couldn't even find me on their schedule for my facial.!.!. Anyway my sister got a 45 min facial then my daughter only received a 30 minute facial the had to wait on me while I received my facial. Then when it was time to pay nothing was done to compensate for this mishap and shorten facials or us stepping in to figure out what to do. What a mess! read more
