This review is long over due, I went to the one in Ellenton Laura was my styalist (fabulous woman). I went in with red and grey hair (no good) and came out with the most beautiful hair i have ever had. I told so many people about her and where she is, one feiend of a friend went to her the next week, i will never go anywhere else. I will always be so thankful that i found her. WOULD RECOMMEND

Laura has always been great with my hair color and cut. Since I have an autoimmune disorder, there are times when my scalp is extremely sensitive. Besides using a no peroxide/no ammonia Milkshake product, she kindly avoids any areas that are troubling at the time!

Notice the line of color, that isn't even even across the back of my head. And somehow this wasn't noticed "due to the lighting"

I had the misfortune of going to this salon in December. I chose it because of the great Yelp reviews and my misconception that the few bad reviews were probably just annoying customers. At the end of February I FINALLY finished all the color correction treatments to repair the damage done in my 2.5 appointments with the Loft Hair Studio. I originally contacted the salon on Yelp after reading the reviews. I asked specific questions regarding my hair. I then called and spoke again with the receptionist. Finally, I decided to go in for a consultation because I wanted to make sure I could get what I asked for. In the consultation, I showed the picture below and was specific about my needs. I made it clear that I wanted my hair color throughout as years of highlights had left the bottom lighter than than the top. I also wanted to go much darker than my light blonde hair. My stylist seemed excited and said it was all doable. I even made sure to tell her I'd been living overseas and wanted to ensure color would adhere. On the day of, my stylist was nice and complimentary. After finishing my hair, she repeatedly complimented how nice it looked. She complimented it so much that I was feeling awkward and running out of responses. She spiral curled it and took a photo. I left thinking it was great. 2 hours later the curls fell and I was appalled. In my dark apartment bathroom, I noticed something odd. It seemed like there was a very visible line of unblended color that was accentuating my face! And not only that I most definitely didn't have the dark hair I'd requested or even the same color throughout my hair. I drove to a friend's house and she told me it was just as bad in the back. We started moving my hair around and there was clear lines of color everywhere! It was terrible! I called and was asked to submit pictures. I did. I did NOT receive an apology, but rather was told that "[the stylist] said it didn't look like that when you left, she even showed me photos." I had no idea how to even respond because I 1. wanted them to fix my hair without me paying and 2. thought that I must have no idea how color worked if it could move into solid lines after having it washed and dried. I went back in a few days later. I did not receive an apology. Rather, I repeatedly apologized. Who knows why I did this, I think I was embarrassed to have complained. The one comment that really shook me during this "fix up appointment" was that it wasn't visible because of the salon's lighting. Um... if you're salon's lighting is so poor you can't notice clear mistakes, then it might be time to get new lights? Also, how could a good colorist not notice that my hair had all these clear dye lines? Even if your lighting is terrible, wouldn't the colorist be looking closely to evaluate their work? It just seemed shocking that ownership for the mistake was not taken, but excuses were given. Furthermore, I should not have been apologizing, but rather receiving repeated apologies. I left late that night (I believe the owner stayed late to fix my hair). I had originally paid for a blow dry/style. Well, I left that night and my hair had been quickly dried. There was no styling. In fact, my hair wasn't even re-parted! I had to do it with my fingers in the car. Look, I appreciated they were fixing the hair for free. However, I think it was clear that the original colorist did a poor job. You would think that they would be trying to make this up to me and going above and beyond. This would not only entail apologies and ownership of mistakes, BUT actually styling my hair. My honest guess is that it wasn't styled for a reason: it wasn't fixed. The line of demarkation had faded, but was still visible. The line in the back of the hair was still visible, but at least better blended. I did not have the dark color I originally wanted, but it had gotten re-lightened to fix all the issues. I went to another salon 6 days later. At this point I was not going to deal with Loft anymore and definitely didn't trust anyone else there to touch my hair. At the next salon it took 3 visits to repair my hair. I had to pay additional fees beyond just "dye, full highlights, etc" because I had to pay for "color correction". They pointed out each of the unblended lines of demarkation they found. They also remarked on why I had chosen demi-permanent hair dye as the fade had made and would make the lines become more obvious. This was a true shocker because my original stylist suggested this at the consultation and I agreed. At my full appointment, I let her know I'd really thought about it and would prefer permanent. She agreed. In the end I paid around 100$ for the Loft (did a groupon and paid for reverse baylage). Then I paid 487$ + tips to get their damaged fixed. Go. somewhere. else.

I was in Bradenton for a wedding and I choose this place to get my hair styled and makeup done for a family wedding based on the reviews. Let me first say everyone was very friendly there and I never leave 1 star reviews. The salon booked 2.5 hours for my appt for a partial Updo and makeup application. I was out of the salon in less than hour and the work definitely showed it. I wanted a half up, down hair style however the stylist convinced me to do all down so all she did was curl my hair which took all of 15 minutes and was annoyed she wouldn't compete the up do. However then for makeup I asked for full coverage with contour and my face did not even look like I had any foundation or coverage. I showed her a picture I wanted of eyes I wanted which were neutral, red shimmer, Smokey eye. First she wouldn't do eye liner because she said it will make my bags brighter...which if she covered them like I asked, wouldn't be an issue. Then she only used a light brown eyeshadow. When she first showed me her end result I asked her to change it to look like the picture. With her attempt to fix this she only added a little darker brown and called it a day. I was so annoyed I just said fine and left. It was such a waste of $140 I have ever spent. I left the salon, went straight to Ulta and bought makeup remover and makeup took everything off and redid it when I got to my hotel. The picture in the car is what they did, and the one in my dress is what I did after taking all the work off and fixing my hair too. Included the picture of what I asked for....

I had the pleasure of having Carolina revamp my dull hair-do with an updated cut & color today. The reviews were awesome and did not disappoint me. The salon was super cute and felt welcomed right away with an appointment. I told her what I needed and she nailed it! The wash was so relaxing, the dry out and style was also perfect! Thanks so much for a great experience to all the ladies at The Loft, I'll be back!!

Wow! Great experience. I didn't call or have an appointment, but they were able to get me in right away. I had a shampoo, good 4" of hair taken off, and styled. I'm from the west coast and don't know anyone or where to go. This place was fantastic! I worked with angel who rocked, but all the ladies were fun, and friendly.
