i used to frequent this salon previously but had starting going elsewhere. This is my third time and if the owner, Theresa, is not present the staff doesn't feel the need to speak to customer. This is a real turn off as there are a 1000 salons around. in addition, as i was getting my pedicure, there were only 3 customers but the other nail tech decided to sit someone right next to me when we all could have been spread out and there were 2 chairs to the far right not being utilized. Awful experience. Asked for a regular manicure and he showed me a book which I selected the color. The polish was OLD. After drying the color faded. I asked for a discount and was told he would repair. Old the polish looked old and in bad condition. No way I would use it. And I was robbed 25 dollars for awful service and Rudeness. Their customer service could be alot better than it was...I WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE..My money spends the same as anyone else...I came in for a fill in and a cracked nail the work was crappy I asked for coffin and got square.. I got my fill in on Friday. Saturday I came back because the Crack in my nail resurfaced and hair got caught in it. Went back to Gigis and they said we'll just put more glue and a gel hardner on it and it will be ok. I specified that I do not want my nail to break. Thursday my nail cracked and Friday it was barely hanging on...Went back to get it fixed and was told to maybe find somewhere to do my long nails so I'm happy. I've been living in Sarasota for a few years now, and it has been difficult to find an affordable nail salon that tends to you and your needs and delivers high-quality service. First time here and I was blown away. I walked in and I was immediately greeted and asked what I needed. I also came in an hour before closing on a Saturday with no appointment but they still helped me! Brandon was amazing, I had requested a gel pedicure and to remove my old acrylics that I had gotten at a different salon that were just not it. Brandon took his time to go over what he was doing as well as the products that he was using. I am so glad that I came here because he treated me so well my toes came out absolutely fantastic. He took his time not to mention the amazing foot massage he gave me almost made me fall alseep. I went to Gigi 's for the first time on Sept 15th and was made to feel comfortable by the staff, however, the service and final product was not worth 70 dollars at all. This is the very first time that I have had a pedicure and the nail polish didn't last even 5 days. In addition, I had asked to shape my nails only which I was charged 15 dollars to do when a regular manicure is 20!!!!.​ I have been trying nail salons around the area but I would not go back to this one. Also while there a woman with a newly bleeding cut on a foot came to get a pedicure. All the nail techs at some point came to look at the bleeding foot, they chose to assist her with her bleeding foot which turned my stomach. She should have been sent home till the wound healed. Definitely not a place I would return to, not even to fix the polish on my toe nails that starting peeling the next day. read more

I was having a pedicure on 8-29 and I had never gotten a specialty pedicure so as the woman was doing the standard for a regular pedicure I with some Encouragement from the owner decided to give the green tea pedicure a try! I was very disappointed with the services and with tip, I had spent close to 80, 60 was the price for the Pedicure. It was a multi step pedicure but outside of some green tea powder that was put into at this point not fresh water... everything else was applied to my lower legs. Between the change from Starting as a reg pedicure to a specialty pedicure. the water was not changed at all. I realize they would like to Minimize cleaning but it was now a specialty pedicure. I still tipped well but the person that gave me the pedicure when completed, left Me in the chair as the wax room was full and they were now utilizing the drying station (2chairs only ) to wax someone's eyebrows and that was more of a priority than me properly drying my feet. There are so Many salons in the area. The market is saturated with them that I would not Return here and feel I Wasted my money. read more

Gel manicure done and he didn't even massage my hands/arms with lotion. And it's only been two days and my nails have already started chipping. My pedicure was probably the fastest pedicure I've ever received . I had an awful experience today. I had an appointment at 11 and they left me waiting with my feet in water for 45min while they took clients that came after me since I wasn't getting the more expensive pedicure. They ask multiple times if you are getting the more expensive pedicure it's annoying. They cut my toe nails too short and didn't shape them. The lady cut them so short that I bled on my left foot so she had to put glue so it would stop bleeding and she left polish on my skin. I had to have another nail technician fix them. The man that my mom had do her pedicure was friendly and took his time to make sure her nails looked good. My technician didn't even speak to me when I told her what I wanted to get clarification. It took 2 hours for 2 classic pedicures and we will not be returning or recommending this nail salon. read more

A very good salon for a pedi, always nice but have had a few nicks here from a woman that I believe is no longer working there. They don't polish the end of your big toes, which looks more polished, pardon the pun ;) the spa pedi is $30 and involves fruit to exfoliate, hot stone, oils, quick massage * the massage is a huge point of difference in a pedi for me, I've had really wonderful ones and ones that are very lacking. It's def part of a package when your paying $30 plus $7 tip. The massage is ok here not great. Hot towels, they do the grater. All in all, it is where I send people now who ask but I'm always on a quest for the best salon at the best price and experience. read more

Just had a pedicure recently. I have had one before about 5 months ago. I get the second level pedicure, can't remember what they called it. It is $30 with the spa tub, great smelling orange scrub for the legs and feet, squeezed grapefruit juice from fresh slices, hot stone massage of calves, and an oil moisturizer for the ending. A wine or other beverage is offered at the beginning. The salon has recently had a pretty big makeover, it has made it much less cluttered and nicer. There are six large tubs for pedicures. First off - the only reason I created a Yelp account was to leave this review. I have been getting my nails done (manicures, pedicures, acrylics, gels, etc.) for over 15 years. I've lived in 3 different cities and gone to well over 10 different nail salons during those years. THIS IS THE BEST SALON I'VE EVER BEEN TO. I started going here in 2018 when I moved to the area. At the time they were the closest which was why I tried them. I now drive 30 minutes and past lots of other nail salons to go to GiGi's. Give me a chance to tell you why- these ladies and gentlemen are warm, gracious professionals. My regular hand tech makes recommendations and lets me know what she thinks is best for my particular situation. They include trimming cuticles and a lotion massage as part of acrylic nail service (first salon that's ever done that). The same techs have been here for years (this is not common for a nail salon). They greet regulars by name, hug you, catch up with you like old friends. They encourage appointments. I have no clue why there are negative reviews on yelp for them because THEY ARE FABULOUS. No I don't own the place, I am just a RAVING FAN who has experienced what nail service NIrvana is like. And the lovely glass of red wine I get complimentary with my pedi doesn't hurt either read more

No I don't recommend this place unless the owner change their policy! First: don't employ Unqualified people to take care of your customers! ( when I was over they let someone who wasn't even wearing the uniform and who is much older to do my pedicure) some of the employees are good but not ALL of them are qualified or know what they are doing .. so when I pay you full price why should I get the unqualified one ? Two: stop being fake ! Stop making people feel that yea your place is very welcoming and you offer drinks while all you're doing is deceiving people. Three: why are you so over priced ? Your service is exactly the same as other places. Four: the products you use .. on the second day I had my manicure.. it started to fall off .. I am completely unsatisfied with your service. This place does THE BEST GEL SETS or fills or anything for that matter! Forget about two week fills they are so good, you can go three weeks no problem without a fill! Also if your interested in lashes... I watched the tech doing a full set with mink lashes... they are affordable and they are flawless! I had no idea they had that service until I asked, and their tech is so amazing! I go to Sonny! I recommend him highly and any of the other nail techs there!
