What a farce?! Sometimes this place is great! But this time, it was disappointing. After bragging about the wonderful bacon and service, I had family here to enjoy too. There was no Billionaire Bacon. "The kitchen said we're out". It was 5:30pm. How can you run out at rush hour. My family loves bacon. Who doesn't? It was so disappointing. Not all bartenders or servers are the same. It's a roll of the dice. Some are absolutely wonderful. Others are not so much. Food is good at a discount. Brews are good at happy hour. Games are fun to watch. Otherwise, give this one a pass. And be mindful, this place is packed with mostly adult working men exercising their first amendment, saying anything. It's not always respectful toward women or youngsters.

Cheese Cheeseburger - A plate with a partially eaten cheeseburger, French fries, and a small cup of ketchup is placed on a wooden table. The cheeseburger has a bun, beef patty, and toppings, with some ingredients visible. The French fries are golden and crispy. The background shows a blurred restaurant setting with glasses and other items.

I love the food here great the fast paced restaurant was good. We sat at the bar and had a few beers and ordered our food. It came out relatively fast. They were really busy. It might've been the day before the Super Bowl Twin Peaks is a fun place to go just to get something quick to eat. Ambience of the place was nice very chill very mellow.

Wings - The image shows a metal tray lined with parchment paper containing fried chicken wings, French fries, celery sticks, and small metal cups of dipping sauces. The tray is placed on a wooden table, with additional food items and drinks visible in the background. The setting appears to be a casual dining restaurant, focusing on fried chicken and snack foods.

I had been to this Twin Peaks location a few times including when they 1st opened 10+ years ago. When they initially opened they had what I believe to be a Texas crew assist with opening. The food and service were very good, but after a few months I went back and it wasn't good. I love Albuquerque, but "Albuquerque effect" happens to many chain restaurants and other businesses that come into the market. The Albuquerque effect is when the business is far better in other markets. Recently, I went to Twin Peaks for a late dinner and a drink. I sat at the bar and it was a good visit overall. The service was fast and friendly. The wing were excellent. They were fried perfectly and tasted great. They had a nice whiskey selection, but they didn't have an accurate list with pricing. They should make a list with this info. They are missing a great opportunity to sell nice whiskey. The place is decorated like a cabin lodge setting. It's a typical "breastrant" like Hooters. Cool place with pretty good food.

COLD loaded fries. - A metal tray contains loaded fries topped with shredded cheese, bacon bits, chopped green onions, and possibly other toppings. The fries are served on parchment paper, and a small cup of ranch dressing is placed nearby. A glass of beer is partially visible in the background, and the tray is on a wooden table, suggesting a casual dining setting at Twin Peaks in Albuquerque, NM.

COLD and unimpressive food. I may be a prude, but I believe a bit more clothing would be appreciated.

Steak salad with vinagrette and touch of jalapeño - The image shows a steak salad served on a white plate, with slices of medium-rare steak placed on a bed of mixed greens, including lettuce and arugula. The salad contains corn kernels and black beans, and is dressed with vinaigrette. The plate is on a wooden table, with a small metal container and a decorative item in the background.

I was seated immediately by friendly and attentive staff. Numerous TV's tuned to various sporting events. I was impressed at the family atmosphere. Many families with young children in tow, couples at tables enjoying what looked to be "date afternoon." Attractive serving staff are an expectation, and they are. My waitperson had a pleasant confidence about her. I had Dos Equis on tap with a lime, and steak salad. Steak exactly as ordered (medium rare) and the greens included some black beans and bits of corn and shredded carrots. Salad dressing had just as touch of heat from jalapeño.

Monday night special. - A meal consisting of a burger with a bun, lettuce, and tomato, served with a side of French fries and a small metal cup of ketchup. A tall glass mug of beer with foam on top is placed behind the meal. The setting appears to be a restaurant with menus and promotional flyers on the wooden table.

A nice cool Autumn morning in central New Mexico as we await the start of this year's Balloon Fiesta. Our report this week is on a popular sports bar, Twin Peaks, where we went with the only active-duty author who was published in Holes in Our Hearts. Great food, excellent service, and terrific atmosphere. Just click on the following YouTube video link to see our full report with Tom Neiman, Josh Colenda, and Jim Tritten and learn why bacon is featured in the photo. https://youtu.be/MSSWkagrW5Y?si=axoiZrTYpvsJhQh9

Green Chile chicken w/broccoli and mashed potatoes - A plate contains steamed broccoli, a serving of mashed potatoes, and chicken covered with gravy and garnished with diced tomatoes. The meal is presented on a white oval dish placed on a wooden table. In the background, there are drinks, including a glass of water and a beverage with ice, along with a small container of sauce and a paper coaster.

Take note, if the server or bartender asks if you want a double or single shot, the double is going to be more than 2 separate single shots. For example, a shot of screwball is $3.99. So, in reality, a double would and should be $7.98. But no! According to their computer system, a double of screwball is $10.29. Not sure of that is the new common core math, or what it is. But, it would be nice if it was disclosed that a double shot would be a different price. So, yeah, ask her what the less expensive route would be. The bartender I had luckily changed it to 2 separate shots. With that being said, I also got a NM exclusive dish, which was the green chile chicken. This came with some broccoli and mashed taters. It was ok. Not terrible, not great. I probably wouldnt get it again. They also offered a green chile cheesesteak. I was still happy, overall, with the visit.

Two women in camouflage crop tops and shorts stand close together inside a bar or restaurant, with one woman having long, curly hair and the other with shoulder-length hair. They are both smiling and facing the camera. The background shows multiple TV screens, patrons, and a bar area with bottles and glasses. The setting appears lively and casual.

We're kind of snobby about our beer and every. single. beer is solid. I might not like reds that much but this is one that I'd actually drink. The Hefe is solid and delicious without the weird aftertaste and off flavors that 95% of them have. Just a clean, refreshing hefe. The DIPA is delicious and one of my faves. I still stand by that the IPAs here will stand up to any others we have around town and we have some good oens. We stopped in to watch football for a bit and the screens were plentiful, there was lots to do including darts, shuffleboard, and nearly every single game on at once. They've done a lot to the place and I really hope it sticks around - we need a place like this! Beers are super reasonably priced and they have a daily happy hour (including an all day happy hour on Monday!). This is a chill, cool place with lots of seating, lots of parking and ample food options around.

With that said, I am somewhat also disappointed in the non-beer options. One friend of mine is gluten sensitive. So, she can order seltzers or wine, but a glass of wine (which she prefers, is $12 or so -- pretty pricey. I don't drink alcohol and I don't consume sugar, so I can either get water (takes like hose water) or they have a quanine water in a small bottle - 10oz I think and it's about $4 I think (they don't have a menu with prices online). On the plus side, if you like sports then you will like their TVs. Never a cover charge, and you can bring in food from outside since there is no kitchen here. There is plenty of parking. Overall nice place, but the service is sometimes off - usually 1 bartender on week night. In order for me and my pals to return, they need to offer more reasonably priced wine and add more non-alcohol options. Some establishments offer Athletic brand NA which I like. Clausthaler now has a new IPA NA that is wonderful, and something like a canned sparkling water - La Croix would work too.

For drinks they have everything from house taps and cocktails to non-alcoholic options, including mocktails. They also make their own house infusions like beet vodka, coffee liqueur, and cucumber gin, which I thought was interesting. My only issue was that the bathrooms were not clearly labeled and the heavy metal playlist was not my cup of tea. Still, if you are into unique drinks and a casual local scene, this is a good spot for that.

Lots of doors and roll-up windows allow them to combine or separate spaces. I'm not sure if it's a New Mexico thing, but this might be the first brewery we've been to that doesn't do flights. Too bad too because there were several we wanted to get. We ended up tasting four beers. The Bock was ok, and the Stout was pretty good. I had a pint each of the Blue Corn Lager and the Irish Red, while my wife had two pints of the Irish Red. Both were quite good. Had I had another, I would've ordered the Stout. The one knock on the place was the service. It was friendly enough. There just wasn't enough of it. Every time we needed something, it was around a 10-min wait in line. To order, to close out, etc. Not really because it was overly crowded. It just took a really long time for those in front of us to be helped by the one person tending bar at the time. Oh well. The beer was good and not overpriced. Even though the alcohol content wasn't too high, it hit the spot.
