I recently stopped by TWF Burgers for lunch. I have wanted to stop by this place for a while because it's close to my home and I am a chicken tender freak so I wanted to see how theirs stack up to some of the other local places. I arrived shortly after they opened say 11:20ish. Upon arriving I noticed there was only one or two other patrons at the time. I think maybe they were having an issue with the air conditioning but it looked like they had a temporary unit cooling the place. It was quite cool but a bit noisy so it was hard to hear the wait staff as they asked me questions. As you can see from my photos they have standard tables and chairs but then they also have a nice bar you can sit at and then there was like the pickup counter area that had stools you sit on while waiting. There appears to be a outside seating for when the weather is cooler and there was multiple TV's on around the place giving looks at different sporting events should you care. As I said, I love a good chicken tender and I was not gonna leave without trying the chicken and waffles! I also wanted to try this new take on fries called the sidewinders. Even though this place is known for its creative and fun milkshakes I decided just to get a plain chocolate shake. Some other places that I have had chicken and waffles at, the tenders have been lacking in size and taste. That is NOT the case here! I got three large, hot perfectly crispy tenders! It came with two thick square waffles! The waffles were just the right amount of firm exterior with soft insides. Also they gave me two cups of syrup which was more than enough. The tenders and waffles cut up easily but were firm enough to withstand the syrup and not fall apart on me when I took a bite! I really enjoyed them! The sidewinder fries were another pleasant surprise. These were large fries with a great crispy exterior and a fluffy potato interior. They came out hot and crispy and it was a large portion! I had to take a tender and half my fries home with to enjoy later on, and enjoy them I did! The have a Nashville Hot chicken platter I am planning on getting next time I swing by and that will be soon! Also the Cowtender which is two hamburger patties and two chicken tenders on a roll looks absolutely great. Maybe that's my third time back meal. :) Overall I was happy with my meal and the service. I had a pretty good experience eating here. I had the breakfast burger and Mac n Cheese balls! The burger I really liked but the Man n Cheese balls felt premade in the factory and thrown in the oven. I did really enjoy the service. I believe the owner himself served us and he was very sweet and attentive. If he saw us waiting to long he would check on our order and make sure we were find. This casual place was just alright, good for a casual burger, wings or milkshake. A bit overpriced for what it comes with and the service wasn't even good. The burgers were just ok nothing unique about it just a typical burger and sadly didn't even come with fries. I had wanted to build my own burger but noticed that it was very basic and it didn't offer guacamole as a topping even though they had another burger that had guacamole in it. I guess I could've asked the server, however the server wasn't the friendliest nor were they helpful. Overall this place isn't too bad if you're craving a burger and beer and you can't find anything else in the area but wouldn't be the first place I recommend. read more

Went here on Tuesday Night. Place is very big with patio seating. Was told that I can sit anywhere. I was greeted with warm welcome once I sat down. We picked up wings and a burger along with tots and a strawberry milkshake. All were tasty and satisfying. The restaurant was well attended for a Tuesday night (around 7:30). The tots were crispy and the wings were quite good; good enough to order again! The burger was cooked perfectly and was seasoned well. We like that we can ask for whatever fixings we wanted. The shake was smooth and had a great strawberry flavor! I noticed they have a full bar. We'll be back to enjoy a drink and more of those wings and burgers, etc.! read more

NO AIR CONDITIONING! Took my family there for lunch. 7 of us. The poor waitress was red faced and sweating. I asked about the temperature and she said it has been broken FOR A WEEK! It was 97 outside on the day we went. The temperature on the thermostat inside was 86. My parents are elderly and we were all uncomfortable. We tried to stay but it was unbearable. The food is mediocre at best but my parents like it so we went. Whomever is managing this place PLEASE GET IT TOGETHER. Ambiance-0. Wait staff-10. I've had this place on my list for quite some time and finally made it in this afternoon (4/30/23). As a party of two we were greeted, sat right away and chose to sit in the patio area because the weather was pretty nice. They have large picnic style tables and a couple games to play like a giant connect four. There are shaded and unshaded table areas. Our server Armani came right over, took our drink orders and answered our menu questions. He was very nice, interactive and attentive. I don't eat beef and they don't have any burger substitute options like veggie, black bean or even turkey so I opted to make my own sandwich. They have a burger that comes with teriyaki sauce and pineapple which was appealing to me so I modified it a little and ordered a grilled chicken tendies sandwich add pineapple and teriyaki sauce. It was super good and just what I envisioned. There was a $2 upcharge for the modification but I didn't mind it. We split an order of the sidewinder fries. They were hot, cooked just right and the perfect amount for two people to share. I was going to get a shake but opted not too. The banana pudding looked very appealing but I was so full from the meal that a shake wasn't an option today. We gave this new place a try today - having read so much about TWF Burgers, we were excited. But I wasn't particularly impressed. We ordered Nashville hot chicken tenders as appetizers with sidewinder fries - chicken was too dry. We let the staff know if it and they could see chicken was on a dryer side, so they replaced the order for us. The next batch was much better. Even the fries were better in the next order. We also ordered some wings with Thai sauce, and again wings were very dry. This time we didn't even bother complaining. We got berry salad, which was very fresh and refreshing. I got a daily special berry mule which was really nice. Overall, just an okay place, but they need to do a better job cooking their chicken. Our server was pushy. We felt she rushed us .. like at one point she could see my husband is feeding our baby and she still rushed us so she can clean the table. read more

New to the neighborhood in Tega Cay, SC. Another addition by Jamie & Kyla Rivenbark of Blue Smoke House and The Office Craft Bar & Kitchen. I was able to check them out during their soft opening at a new construction site at the corner of Gold Hill Road & Pleasent Road next to the new Salt Water Fish Market. There is a seating host who will seat you in or outside. They have a nice big covered patio and several large HDTV's On the menu you'll find a nice selection of appetizers as well as burgers, salads, chicken tenders and wings. You have the 'build your own' option on the burgers. They serve the burgers on freshly baked brioche buns and are very tasty. They have a nice variety of bottled & draught craft beers, beverages and shakes and a full bar as well. Our server was Carol who did a great job, explaining the menu and provide top level service to our picky eaters, Everlee & Robinson. We had the burgers, fries and tenders and all were very good. Great portion size so we got a 'go box' This is fast casual dining kicked up a notch. The food quality was really good. This would be a great place to catch a Panthers game with good pub grub & all the HDTV's. Plenty of free parking in their dedicated lot. read more

Below average experience. We waited over 30 minutes for our burgers and fries, and when they came out the fries were room temperature at best and the burgers slightly warmer than that. The restaurant wasn't that busy, there were multiple open tables inside and out. Sorry I stopped in, definitely should have gone somewhere else. This used to be a nice spot with great service & decent food. The wings were dry and not tasty. The service wasn't as good as it's been in the past and I don't think I'll go back. As 1 reviewer noted the few servers were standing around the food window & seemed way more interested in conversations with each other than serving customers. There was 1 server, said she was 16 with a very foul mouth, every other word in her story to co-workers, f this and f that, couldn't help but hear since I was at the bar, only person @ the bar. While TWF has good food, 4 stars have to be taken off for service. They have the slowest kitchen, milkshake station and bartender in Fort Mill. They don't even start on milkshakes for to-go orders until you arrive for pick up. I waited 33 mins for one girl to make 3 milkshakes ordered online for pick up and they were out of the flavor I ordered so I had to settle - I already paid. The food was ready. It was baffling - so many other staff were hanging out, but there is just one milkshake person and station and she has to stop anytime a Togo order comes in. Gave them a shot again to dine in and we had to leave because no one was sure when we would get our food. After an hour of waiting, they kept saying it "would be the next order out" but we counted 5 more tables food go out that came in after us. I gave in and asked to speak with a manager and she bluntly told me the kitchen was messing everything up and she wasn't sure what was going on and she gave me 25% off. She was not nice or professional so we decided to leave. We had to pay for the 3 bar drinks - which I learned were not the price I thought. The price was missing from the big drink specials board. The real price was on a printed out 8 x 11 sheet of paper with in 12 pt font above another table. I should have known! We spent an hour and a half waiting and $30 on drinks and ended up at Wendy's. I almost tripped running to Yelp after leaving this spot. TWF should be WTF instead. The menu is just meh nothing spectacular at all. Forgot about this place but ended up here after the place we really wanted to eat at was closed. It was close to home and I had never been so I gave it a try. It was almost empty on a Monday night, sat at the bar and the bartender was pleasant enough, I guess. I wasn't impressed with the drink menu because I guess vodka is their thing so we stuck with water. We got the mozzarella sticks. They were fine. Came out hot. I landed on the Barbalo tenders and my boyfriend got the Cowbender and we shared the sidewinder fries. My tenders were just ok but made me a little nauseous idk what it was. The blue cheese wasn't tasty at all. Tasted just like the ranch. The sidewinders were lukewarm and I ordered queso that was thick and lumpy. Also not hot. My boyfriend's burger was overdone and the construction of the burger made it difficult to eat. It was dry and the little dollop of sauce didn't do much to the taste. I guess if I had to say anything positive, It was reasonably priced. I think I spent a little over $40. I'll be happy to forget this place is there again. When The Social Cork Wine Bar overbooked reservations and could not provide an actual table for my party of 3 (I had a 6:30 pm Open Table confirmed), TWF happily accomodated us. The bartender greeted me warmly, and quickly found a table for my party. Our waitress, Payton, was outstanding! She was kind, efficient, and caring and knew the menu well, recommending the perfect foods for my family: The fried pickle appetizer was divine, and the burgers and sides absolutely delicious! We came for take out a month or so after they opened. It was a pretty bad experience so we gave it some time and came back to eat in. This visit wasn't bad, just really average. The fried pickles were the best part of the meal by far. The sidewinder fries are straight out of a bag fried. We didn't really care for them. The burger was average. The tenders (I cannot bring myself to say tendies) were really overcooked. The breading was way too dark and very hard. I can see they would be really good if not cooked so long. Sauces were good. Price points are high given the type food they offer (average burgers/frozen fries) and the experience. It just felt really blah inside. I can't really put my finger on it - if it's the decor or the layout or what - but it just doesn't feel comfortable. The positive by far was the staff. Very nice. What a pleasant and enjoyable stop. Heading back from the lake and looking for a good burger we found this hidden gem. Burgers are big and tons of flavor! Several to choose from or build your own. Fries are crispy and great with their TWF sauce (sweet and spicy). The 1/2 price taco burger, $3 Modelo and margaritas were perfect for Cinco de Mayo! Stop by and see Dillon. Chicken is dry and overpriced. $14 dollars for 5 chicken jerky strips. Burgers are dry and over charred with no cheese. Shakes are gritty, was supposed to come with a cupcake on top. Just came in for dinner. Was told to have a seat wherever you like. Tables for 2 were dirty. We sat at a larger table away from the door. No menus ever brought to us. A family comes the server brings them menus. I got up and went to hotess stand and got 2 menus. This server then comes and takes their order. We got up and left. I went with high expectations but left deflated and hungry. I ordered the Cobb salad- it was not a 13.00 salad. The bacon was so sparse that it could have passed for a vegetarian meal. The menu listed "avocado" on The Cobb Salad. But "avocado" was the standard Sysco issue bagged green slime. It should have been listed as "avocado substitute". Additionally there was maybe a half a boiled egg and an overwhelming amount of blue cheese. Even the cherry tomatoes were minimal. Aren't tomato's cheap? My husband had the Breakfast Jam burger, but he wasn't adequately impressed enough to express wanting to return. He said it was par for Fort Mill. The fries looked like frozen skinny fries. Incredibly underwhelming. The building is actually beautiful but it was quite warm. Service was tip-top professional! We wanted to love this place, sadly it is a one hit wonder for us. Came here for lunch and had a great experience in first visit. The young woman behind the hostess stand / bar was very helpful and accommodating! We ordered the tropical burgers - yum yum and fried pickles. Also got the mac and cheese for a side! Very creamy and delicious!! Def will be back! Thank you for a great experience! read more
