    Pear Cider

Open on Sundays; Pear cider was cold, crisp, sweet, low bubbles. Bathrooms were clean and stocked - a big win for a bar. $6.25, not bad.

Great chill vibe. Music is the perfect volume. Bartender was nice, fast, and had great nails. Plus the buff cauliflower was de-lish and a hellava deal. I'm also always a sucker for a place with a Photo Booth.

The DJs do the best job ever and you are in for a treat when they grab the mic to sing . Highly recommend you find out for yourself

This was a fun place to sing and enjoy friends Helen is amazing and please please give her the best love when there! Food was yummy service was great! Only thing i can say that i was not a fan of was the DJ little rude ( could have been a bad night) but still... it's work we may not like it all the time but people are paying to be there you could be a little more kind. But other then that fun fun

Sweet potato fries and Strawberry Basil Tom Collins

Came here during happy hour and ordered sweet potato fries and started things off with the Strawberry Basil Tom Collins... that drink hit the spot on a searing hot day! The fries were tasty and served with ranch and ketchup, can never go wrong. Loved the Strawberry Basil so much that I got another one and then also got the SuperDog. Would definitely come back to Portland to visit this bar!

Update...there's a $5 cover on Fridays & Saturdays that thins out the crowd quite a bit :( still fun

Went bar hopping over the weekend on 21st Avenue and stumbled across this bar. I've been past this bar before and knew I wanted to check it out because it always looks so busy so I knew it must've been good. Drinks are priced good for being a bar on 21st. I got a cider for $5. The bar area was really busy but I was served quickly since the bartenders are attentive. It's hard to hear people talk since the bar gets really loud. They have karaoke every night that starts at 9 pm. It gets packed around then! Karaoke is definitely the highlight of this bar. They have a patio outside that is spacious. They also have a Photobooth. This is a really fun bar with a lively crowd. Perfect for a group of friends on a night out.

    Wing week!!

This was a Friday night and I got to have two completely different experiences in one night. First of all, I first went to a karaoke spot in the way way back... like 2005. Back then karaoke was not really A thing...sure, some folks did it but ask all your friends and maybe 1 in 10 will actually go and then it would be questionable if they would actually put a song in and sing it. Fast forward to now, 20 years later and most of your friends might be down. With that said, I no longer enjoy going to most karaoke places because it is usually a bit over the top. The sound is terrible and a lot of people are just beyond drunk. My friends scheduled the private room from 6-8pm and, again, this was on a Friday. It was challenging to get across town during that time of day but having the empty bar was so wonderful. I get nervous going into over crowde9d spaces so this really was nice. I was late so they were already singing up a storm. Catching up was no sweat. The website is so easy to navigate to add songs to the playlist. I also loved that almost every song I sang is not a song that is on just about any other karaoke list. I am a big fan of songs that are not the popular stuff. I have actually discovered songs in the past I never heard of before because someone sang it at karaoke. I also have tried out things before and realized with great humility that I will not sing that again. Just to clear things up...I am NOT Beyoncé. After our room time was up and we discussed things, we decided, as a group to just move into the main room. We grabbed a long section of tables at 8pm, knowing that the main karaoke starts at 9pm. We discovered that this is the best way to do this. We had such a great time just relaxing and having conversations, getting a drink and plotting our next singing session. There was quite a few "regulars" and you can usually tell the regulars at a karaoke bar. These are the best and we felt so welcome and included. Amazingly inclusive, in every sense of that word. From 9pm to midnight I was able to sing 4 times and had such a great time.

Beware of double (or triple!) charges!!!…read more I really loved this place, like a lot. The other night, I rented a private room for some friends, and with drinks the cost was about $300. I expected this charge and we had a great time! However the next morning I awoke to my bank account in the red because they charged me $300 THREE TIMES. They charged a total of over $900 on my $300 tab. Additionally, they overcharged my friends for their drinks as well! I called the bar, and they had me call the owner. He told me I was overdrafted due to "authorization fees", which was only supposed to be $15; they charged me the full cost of the room as an "authorization" twice, while simultaneously charging for the room independently. I got my money back in the end (after a 15 min, roundabout phone call) but it truly didn't make up for the stress of being put into the red and being charged overdraft fees. If you go here, watch your bank account like a hawk or they very well may charge you multiple times. Edited to add this delightful text the owner sent me after seeing my review! Really cool and professional.

Since 1947 this place has been slinging drinks and good times. Years of refinement (or lack of) have culminated into one of the best tiki bars in Portland and surrounding area. The decor is a throwback to tiki bars from the 60's in my opinion. This place is full of eclectic furnishings that will keep your eyes busy the entire time you are there. The drinks were solid here and of course they have several options to choose from, each with thier own personality. One thing I was a little thrown off about was the fact that you have to ask for the drink to be poured into a tiki mug. I guess this is due to folks stealing the mugs so that is unfortunate. I would have guessed that the drinks would come in mugs regardless but that was my mistake. The food is decent for pub/bar fare. We basically sampled all the appetizers and none disappointed. The wings were my favorite. Bottom line, come here for the drinks and the singing and you'll have a fantastic time. Oh! Come early if you want a good booth and get your songs in quickly. The wait can get really long the later in the night.

To speak about Teardrop Lounge, I should probably start with this:…read more Ladies and gentlemen, I present my favorite cocktail bar. Not the best -- I'm not arrogant enough to claim that. I haven't been to every cocktail bar in Portland, and saying something is the best usually says more about your lack of experience than your conviction. But favorite? That I can stand behind. And I want to get that out of the way early, because of the amount of praise I'm about to pour on this place -- fully earned, completely intentional. The biggest crime here is that I only discovered it two weeks ago, after living in Portland for a year. It had been recommended to me countless times, and I ignored it. A mistake. A painful one. But now that I've found it, I don't plan on making that mistake again. I'm not typically an Old Fashioned drinker. In fact, I usually hate them. But somewhere between curiosity and too many episodes of Mad Men, I decided to try one anyway -- fully expecting to confirm my bias. Instead, it completely flipped me. Bright, almost citrus-forward in a way that felt unusual but entirely intentional. Balanced, smooth, just enough burn to remind you what you're drinking without overwhelming it. It was the first time I actually understood the appeal. I'm pretty sure I grew a few chest hairs that night. That alone would've been impressive. But it didn't stop there. The space is beautiful -- clean, intentional, but not cold. The staff are excellent: personable, engaged, and most importantly, authentic. Not scripted, not performative. The kind of people you actually want to talk to, and hopefully, eventually be on a first-name basis with. Now, all of that gets it close to a perfect score. But what pushes it over the edge -- what makes this place stick -- is the White Russian. One of the first drinks I ever had. My dad's drink. Not because of The Big Lebowski -- that came later -- but because it's just always been his thing. And at some point, it became mine too. Typically, when bars try to "elevate" a White Russian, they ruin it. They overthink it. Swap ingredients, tweak ratios, add unnecessary flair. And more often than not, it ends in disappointment. Teardrop does the opposite. They respect it -- but refine it. The coffee liqueur actually tastes like coffee. The heavy cream is properly integrated, not just dumped on top. The vodka -- whatever they're using -- is clean, present, and perfectly measured. There's a subtle complexity to it without losing what makes the drink what it is. It's the best White Russian I've ever had. No hesitation. I've gone back twice just to make sure it wasn't a fluke. It wasn't. If someone asked me what my death row drink would be -- this specific cocktail, from this specific bar, is in the conversation. Easily. Teardrop Lounge doesn't just make great cocktails. It reminds you why cocktails matter in the first place. And that's why it's my favorite.

One of the best parts was how approachable the bartenders were. We asked for custom drinks based on our preferences, and both came out perfectly tailored. Creative without being weird, and strong without being sloppy. What really stood out was the price point. For the quality of cocktails, the prices felt very reasonable compared to similar craft cocktail bars in other cities. The vibe was also great -- relaxed, cozy, and not pretentious. It felt like a place where you could come for a special drink experience without feeling like you had to "perform" or order off a rigid menu. We liked it so much we actually came back a second time during our trip. Highly recommend if you're into well-crafted cocktails, friendly bartenders, and a laid-back but elevated atmosphere.
