The weather and the setting definitely started this dinner with a positive outlook. We were a party of five, with three of us ordering different Taco alternatives. I requested the Shrimp, my wife asked for the Salmon and our daughter selected Filet Mignon. The flavor of all the Tacos was out of this world, as the ingredients and the sauces involved within those corn tortillas meshed together magically. I will say that paying $20 for two small tacos that weren't PACKED was a little bit of a RIP. The other two guests in our party went for two different types of Pizza. They both boxed a slice or two to take home. As sides, we had two orders of Truffle Fries and one of the Brussel Sprouts. Both were phenomenal but the veggies could have been more plentiful. To go with our dinners, my wife and I brought our own Meadowcroft GSM that generated two surprises for us. One was how great it accompanied what we ingested, the other was the $30 corkage on the bill. To round out the night out, my daughter shared a Sundae-Sundae with the other guests. Being able to get out to see new restaurants once a month is a gift, and most of what we experienced was a HUGE thumbs up. We just felt like what was provided in a casual setting was a little overpriced. This will not be on a future "to do" list.

Food was "American" style tapas - small plates of well crafted foods ranging from flatbread pizza to meatballs to vege pockets and (for me) a "Vegan Stack" composed of rice, mango, avocado, and a delicious spicy mayo. Tiramisu dessert disappeared in all of 20 seconds, well plated and beautifully crafted. You will not leave La Fe thinking to yourself "that was the greatest food I've ever had," but you may just leave thinking "this was the best time with my friends I've ever had" - and THAT is what this restaurant is for -- Bring your friends for a night on the town, bring your family for an energized reunion, bring yourself for a social time itch-scratching. The lobster however, was Baja lobster and that is neither my preference for my husband's but we did eat it with the steak and it was fine. The mashed potatoes were good that came with the rotisserie chicken. The rice and beans that came with the steak and lobster were pretty good. For dessert we got the mango cheesecake and the apple pie à la mode. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves. We enjoyed the exceptional service by the food runner and water refill guy ....didn't get his name. We split the bacon orange dates with mascarpone which were to die for. The burrata apple salad was a perfect fall salad. It has crispy prosciutto, candied pecans, arugula and apples which had been seasoned with a nice warm spice mix. We also shared the chicken BLT. This was a lot of food for two but we left full and happy. They are a wine bar as well and have wine dinners from time to time. I definitely recommend this spot for brunch or lunch. Holidays can be challenging if you want a quiet atmosphere to dine out.
