Since we were previously living with roommates our stuff was scattered between a few different rooms of the house. I was worried that would be confusing but they were on top of it! Some of our stuff was not packed well (including some delicate items) but they brought some gear and moved it with no issues. Upon unpacking we were impressed that not a single thing was broken! When the movers showed up the morning of our move, they tried to have us sign a different contract for a larger amount. I had the signed agreement and insisted that they honor it. A call with the owner straightened it out, but he acted like he was doing us a big favor by honoring our signed agreement. The day before I had received confirmation, which is great. But in that confirmation, I was informed that they would not be bringing wardrobe boxes or mattress covers unless I again asked for them. We had specifically discussed these and then they ended up bringing less than agreed anyway. We had already taken three car loads over to the new place on the prior weekend. We had packed everything else in boxes which were piled up on the two decks outside so they were not in our way. Then we pulled everything out of the closets to put in the anticipated wardrobe boxes so that the closets were empty when the movers arrived. The foreman Rafael saw this and decided we were not packed!?! This caused another incident. The foreman Rafael was surly and took an attitude with us. We spent a lot of time trying to get things done, and Rolando had to tell Rafael to "help us out" by moving the furniture necessary to taking apart the TV and the computer. I have never had to make that a special thing before. Did they expect we would have a furniture mover come in before the furniture movers came? In the past, movers have helped with this task without acting like it was a huge favor. It was simply part of the moving process. It is really uncomfortable when someone who is simply doing their job acts like they're going out of their way to do it for you. Extensive delays were caused by the movers because they would only bring in one wardrobe box at a time. We were constantly waiting, rather than getting the closets loaded up. Boxes were clearly labeled with fragile and glass, and after the move many of those were bent and broken and were stacked with no mind to the labels or contents. Moving is already stressful and they made it so much worse and more difficult than it needed to be. Between the delays and the arguments, the extra calls to the owner and trying to change the contract terms I recommend avoiding them.

They asked us whenever in doubt but they mostly made smart decisions themselves. Communication with them is also very easy. They are a fun bunch. Very skilled and honest folks. We moved from an apartment in San Jose to a home in Campbell. They showed their past experience in moving from a high rise apartment and care to be taken when moving into a new single family home. We scheduled moving services for today with a confirmed 10:00 AM start time. I specifically explained, on a recorded phone call, that we operate a hotel and that the start time was critical to avoid disrupting our guests and daily operations. I explicitly asked whether 10:00 AM was possible, and their representative confirmed that it was. Instead, their movers showed up TWO HOURS EARLY, when we had no staff available to coordinate the work. When I explained that we could not accommodate an earlier start because it would disrupt our hotel operations, I was told that my only options were to pay for the movers to sit around waiting or be charged the full amount. Despite the company failing to honor the agreed-upon appointment time, they proceeded to charge my credit card for the ENTIRE service without completing the work. Absolutely outrageous. I have never experienced such unprofessional and questionable business practices. How can a company confirm an appointment, show up at a completely different time, refuse to honor the original agreement, and then charge a customer in full for services that were never performed? I fully intend to dispute this charge with my credit card company and will be sharing this experience with fellow hospitality professionals and businesses throughout Sonoma County. This is not simply poor customer service. This is a serious failure to honor a confirmed agreement, followed by charging for services that were never provided. BUYER BEWARE. He had paid extra for the insurance on the move; despite this he received no compensation or credit for the missing box. When he took his claim to the bank he uses, they also denied him and gave him no credit. Company seems untrustworthy due to all this.
