Went to Tutto to celebrate a long time friend's birthday dinner and had the best time. I loved how they had a coatcheck at the entrance. We were lucky to get a reservation on Opentable as it was pretty busy on a Wednesday night. The ambience and decor was absolutely beautiful, my friends and I thought that the inside of the restaurant looked like one from TV like in SATC! To start, we got some drinks - my friends and I got white peach bellinis and some mocktails as well. I wish the bellini was a bit more icy, but it was still tasty regardless. Our server was so cheerful and had extensive knowledge of the menu and good reccomendations. To start, we got the calamaro ($22) which was grilled humboldt squid paired with a spicy putanesca sauce, it was really juicy and tender. We also got the funghi e tartufo pizza to share and it was one of my favourite dishes of the night, the wild mushrooms and truffles paired together was just perfection along with the perfect thin crust, there was no char at the end like how some places do - it was so perfect! Then we shared a bunch of pastas. My friend is vegetarian so she got the orecchiette alla norma and she said it was tasty, the dish was really colorful and a nice big portion. The rest of us decided to share the caserecce con salsiccia ($28) which had this amazing fennel and pork sausage with this creamy sauce, we also shared the beef short rib papardelle with brown butter sauce ($35) it was my other favourite dish of the night, there was so many pieces of beef and the pasta was really fresh. To end the night, the server brought out a complimentary dessert for my friend's birthday which we thought was such a sweet gesture, she brought out this chocolate fudge cake with raspberry sorbet and it was perfect for all of us to share as it was so decadent. We didn't have a time limit for our table which I loved, my friends and I also loved the individual bathrooms because they all had selfie light mirrors LOL. All in all, I highly reccomend Tutto to go for a fancy night out with your girlfriends or a romantic date. read more

It was overall a disappointing evening. When you enter you have to ascend 7 steps to reach the dining room. I didn't notice if there was a ramp but if you have someone with mobility issues you might want to check this with the restaurant before booking. When my husband made reservations on line he was asked if it was a special occasion and he said that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. When we were seated our server Susan wished us a happy anniversary and that was the extent of what the restaurant did for our anniversary. We were seated towards the back of the restaurant, very close to the kitchen so we had service staff continually going by the table. The washrooms were also just behind our table so we also had many customers going by. It is like grand central station. The table that we were given was bench style seating so there were tables on both sides of us in very close proximity. We could easily listen to their conversation and see all the dishes that they ordered. We were not impressed. The service was very good. Our server Susan kept our wine and water topped up the whole evening and allowed us to enjoy our meal at a leisurely pace. There was a decent interval between the serving or our appetizer and our entrée. The wine was kept well chilled the whole evening. If you decide to bring your own bottle of wine their corkage fee is an outrageous $50.00 a bottle with a 2 bottle maximum per table. This is the highest charge for a corkage fee that I've seen. The range for corkage fees that we've previously seen is between $10.00 - $25.00 a bottle. For dinner we shared funghi pizza that was very good. We shared one of the specials of the evening - tomahawk steak. It was perfectly cooked. My husband asked for a side of pasta - penne with marinara sauce. It was very basic pasta but we were charged $22.00 for this side. For dessert we shared a chocolate almond dessert with raspberry sorbet. We definitely would not return for any special occasion. Good food and service but no acknowledgement of the special occasion. Seating just outside the kitchen, in front of the washroom and on a bench seat with other customers seated within 2 ft. of us on both sides. I don't know that I would return even for a normal night out. Others have commented on the noise level. The music was very loud when we first entered but the volume was turned down early on. read more

The calamari starter was so good, I may never order deep fried again and the raw oysters were wonderful. The lobster pasta was very rich, my husband said it was the best he'd ever had! I had the seafood spaghetti and I loved it even more than the lobster pasta! The tagliatelle was great and so was the scallop and prawns. For dessert we had the tiramisu which was delicious and the lemon tart was nice. Our server George was fantastic, and suggested a lovely bottle of wine to go with our meal. We went early and are glad we did as it did get quite noisy at 7. The free parking was also a huge bonus! In all, we would definitely recommend Tutto and are already looking forward to returning! read more

My partner and I had such an amazing anniversary dinner at Tutto! From that very first appetizer, the Calamaro, to the Panna Cotta De Limon, everything was simply delicious. The host also welcomed us with a nice personalized card wishing us Happy Anniversary, which left a great first impression. The Calamaro was a grilled humbolt squid with spicy puttanesca and let me tell you, we literally wanted to lick the sauce off the plate. The squid was so tender and the pea shoots definitely added more texture. My favourite dish of the night has got to be the Bistecca Ribeye. It was cooked perfectly medium rare, and the sides that came with it were just perfection. The wild seasonal mushrooms were delicious This was a 12oz ribeye that was beautifully seasoned. Our server, Holly, was also super friendly! She gave us a little bit more time than our reservation allowed so that we can properly enjoy dessert. We will definitely be back soon! A new Italian restaurant on a busy corner in Yaletown, formerly a coffee shop/art gallery. Homer and Smithe now has 3 to choose from! The room is enormous, with lots of seating and a large bar area. Open view into the big kitchen. We were seated in the dining room, with hanging plexiglass separating the tables for Covid. Service was efficient, and the sommelier on staff had recommendations that were on point. Appetizers were pretty good. Tomatoes and cheese dish is a standard, tuna/lamb plus crackers wasn't my favourite - a bit too simple tasting and very saucy. Mains were awesome. My squid ink pasta was packed with seafood, pasta cooked well, big portion, and great flavour. I was impressed! Finished off with the tiramisu which came in a big portion, so we needed to share it. A few people recommended this place so I was excited to try it. Unfortunately it didn't make an impression on me. I tried their Spaghetti di Mare which I found quite bland and the portion was small. Given that it's my favourite type of cuisine and Vancouver has a lot of tasty Italian spots, I rarely find myself impressed enough to give a place 5/5 stars, but Tutto deserves it! We booked a dinner reservation online for a Saturday night and were seated right away when we arrived. The whole space is gorgeous! I believe it was an old art gallery so I love the look of it. I also appreciate the lighting (dim but not *too* dim) and the music which is loud enough to hear but not overpowering. The tables and seating are also very comfortable! As for service, while I found the ladies at the front to be slightly standoffish, our waiter more than made up for it! He was extremely professional, courteous and prompt! He always came at the perfect time to ask for our drinks/food choices, fill our water, and take our empty plates away. The food also came out quick which was great! Now let's get to talking about the food. We started with an order of focaccia which may have been the best focaccia we've gotten at a sit-down restaurant in Vancouver! A lot of the times when they have this item on the menu, it's not "true" focaccia so we were glad it was exactly as expected. For our mains, we got the Casarecce con Salsiccia and the Risotto di Zucca, along with a side of the garlic mashed potatoes. Even though I'm not the biggest fan of squash, I found the risotto to be delicious (and huge!) and the pasta dish to be great as well. Just when we thought it couldn't get better, it was time for dessert. We ordered the lemon panna cotta and another dish that I can't recall the name to but was a pudding with salted caramel and this was AMAZING! The panna cotta was good, but the caramel pudding was just out of this world and is amongst my top picks for sit-down dessert. It hasn't even been 24h and I'm already craving more! My only one small ding with the food is that there are not a lot of vegetarian options - there is one veg pasta and then you have the risotto or an eggplant parmesan. That being said, the risotto was delicious so I can't really complain! Overall, I think this place is great! Definitely a new gem in the city. read more

Olaf, the GM, was the consumate professional, as he kindly took the time to ensure we we enjoying our evening. No nitpicks to be had with this star-studded staff. Like a strong drink? Ask for the Pearfetto (a bourbon tequila cocktail with bitters) neat. The daily special burrata salad started off fine. Nothing to write home about but well executed. We got the daily lamb shank risotto and bistecca ribeye and wow. Great quality along with the speedy service really made the night. The food is presented simply but balanced effectively. Don't have a huge sweet tooth? Go for the milk chocolate Earl Grey mousse. It's more salty than sweet with a nice addition of nuts and torched sugar on top. A salty creme brulee but better. The open floor plan reverberates sounds across the room so a normal volume conversation might prove difficult. Washroom stalls seem clean but might benefit from more frequent inspections. Overall a great dining experience and will be coming back for more. The charm of the Harrison Galleries is very much still present even with the new renovations. read more

I had hard time to rate this restaurant because the location, interior and price is such yaletown but when it comes to the food.. It's like 3-3.5/5 at the most. I mean, the food is not bad,(it's ok) then the style of the food is like home style cooking. My friend and I start with the calamari. Calamari came in 10pieces baby finger size. The texture was ok, then it was missing gourmet flavour. My friend had sable fish with vodka, tonic water with cranberry juice and I had wagyu ribeye steak with Bellini. The sable fish actually looks more like fine dining food, however my wagyu steak(10oz) came like a paper thin wide steak covered with bone marrow gravy. I was expecting the steak came thicker and smaller . Steak cooked nicely then the gravy.. I didn't taste much bone marrow and actually the gravy killed the flavour of steak. The side dish it came with broccolini, gnocchi and chopped asparagus. Broccoli and chopped asparagus was cooked well however gnocchi was sort of hard texture(I only had 2 pieces). The sable fish I tried, fish cooked very well. My friend had regular double shot vodka(usually drink grey goose), tonic water with cranberry and somehow he said he got allergy when he got home. My Bellini came in champagne glass then I didn't taste much peach, I would describe like flat mimosa(I just had two sips). I really enjoy the atmosphere and washroom was nice (then its unisex each unit, Not sure I would feel comfortable using it when the restaurant is busy. On top of that, the hand soap was messy around the sink and for 2.5hr dining, there was only three table was full washroom was not cleaned - not well cared feeling) All in all, the restaurant feels like mimicking high-end restaurant, for looks, 4-4.5/5 but when it comes to the food 3-3.5(at the most)/5. Food is missing if gourmet flavour and visually not satisfying. (Also I didn't like their dish they use- thick and cheap looking) I would not go back there unless they improve the food. We came for the Thanksgiving turkey dinner that was advertised and were told they were all out of it, along with the chicken as well. We had a reservation for 6PM on Thanksgiving Monday so that's kind of absurd honestly. Feels more like they just didnt have it at all and just wanted to get people to come. We were also only told this after we were asked to order drinks and given the Thanksgiving menu, so that was misleading. No explanations or apologies were offered and they acted as if surely we weren't expecting it anyways right. I guess this says enough about what kind of business they're running lol, especially if they need to rely on false advertisement to draw people in. Food was overpriced for what it is, drinks were not good and also overpriced, even the nonalcoholic options. Service was slow despite telling us we only had two hours to dine. Ambiance was fine if you like the low-lighting classy vibes, but the tables were also real crowded and noisy. Extremely disappointing and poor experience, don't come here for occasions or events, come if you have less than 0 expectations and just want to watch your money burn, in which case there are better options in this city for that as well :) read more

Best Italian meal I've had in yaletown. All of the appetizers that came out were very very well done and we he burrata cheese was 10/10. The pasta we were told was the best dishes in the house and they did not disappoint. The sauce was fresh and extremely tasty but the pasta noodles could have been a touch fresher and were a little on the firm side. Nicely distanced from the hustle and bustle, the interior makes for a lovely sight. The coat check at the door is a nice touch and service is well equipped to accommodate an evening on the dressier side without feeling too formal. The carpaccio was presented with very nice touches and the appetizers aren't too large so you can order quite a few. Had the most marvelous impeccable dining experience, so glad we chose here for our international family reunion and wedding celebration dinner. Service from start to finish was personable, extremely consistent and reliable, must extend special kudos to sommelier for best pairing rec I have received in my years of dining at gourmet ghetto in Berkeley, and pasta chef had every single one of our dozen pasta dishes down to perfection. Specific memorable dishes: Orange fennel salad had a particular spice that was eye opening. Not your ordinary orange fennel salad!! Carpaccio with truffles was a level up. Vongole was unlike any I've had -- tiny bit thicker than typical wine-doused ones-- and the best we have had. This is our complete Honest experience on The evening of February 17th, my Birthday! We've been to Tutto at least 4 times previously with our 5 other friends & we loved it! Quite a few of my clients that I recommend the restaurant have been to Tutto with mix reviews However, this is the letter I wrote to the Main Operator of the restaurant Tutto & have not received his reply after 24hrs. After speaking to the manager, I believe his main concern is the waitress High Fiving those loud Obnoxious Men like there're in a Sports Bar! When I mentioned the race card, the manager was a bit defensive... mmmm I forgot to mention we're two men?!? Dear Patrick Corsi I spoke to The General Manager earlier about our bad experience last night February 17th Wednesday at your Restaurant Tutto. We've been to Tutto quite many times & being in the Service industry, we let our clients know about your restaurant. We all enjoy your semi casual atmosphere & good food. As a concern, I like to address a couple of things here that made our evening NOT PLEASANT.. I was celebrating my Birthday.. Besides our waitress High Fiving these obnoxious men who were laughing, Clapping & yelling like they were in a Sports Bar, as you know this is a time when we don't even hand shake! Let alone she's serving customers! Most importantly, a taller gentleman in a suite (a waiter? Manager?) abruptly came by at the end while we were paying the bill , he rudely said, "you pay the gratuity including the full amount!" ... he's very rough & came across very condescending! It was right after we had given the gift certificate to our waitress & she worked out the difference & brought us the bill. We felt embarrassed, & since we're both in the service industry for 40+ yrs, we know the rules. Honestly, you Do Not go up to clients to tell them to pay Gratuities...etc..etc... treat them like they're dumb & stupid!!! That was very RUDE!!! Tutto is Not a Casual Chain Restaurant..you know what I mean. So please don't let this happen again or find a pleasant way to deal with this kind of situation. My family and I were desperately looking for somewhere to have dinner on a very busy Saturday night (our fault for not making reservations ahead of time). Since most of us in the party are from out of town we wanted to do something in downtown Vancouver. Everywhere was at least a 2 hour wait, and it was already 9pm. Then my aunt said she had heard that Tutto was really good. I gave them a call and they were so extremely accommodating and could seat the 7 of us within 5 minutes. Everything from the phone call onwards made our night so special. We haven't gotten to spend time with our family like this in about 2 years (a couple of us are from the States) and Tutto made it possible for us to get quality time together. The service and food both exceeded our expectations. Every bite of our meal was well worth it and every interaction with the staff was so pleasant. I wish I had taken pictures of our food but we were quite famished. We ordered the calamaro, carpaccio, funghi e tartufo pizza, arctic char, ling cod, bistecca, and a menu addition for the night which was a pasta with sea scallops. We finished the night with dessert and ordered the panna cotta and affogato which were both the perfect ending to our evening. Definitely one of the better meals I've had in 2021. We had such a lovely dinner there last night! The first thing we were thrilled about were the plexiglass panels between the tables. No worries about "picking anything up"...including another table's conversation! The room is large and cozy at the same time. I had the Insalata di Granchio and the Risotto de Zucca (butternut squash risotto). My husband had the Calamaro and the Arctic Char. Every single bite was absolutely delicious. I had asked for some sort of chocolate dessert for my husband's birthday and they brought us this incredible chocolate thing with vanilla ice cream and maraschino cherries. Mmmm! We were really disappointed. I don't understand the reviews. We had the prosciutto to start. Not good quality prosciutto, barely there slices of cantaloupe and odd chunks of Parmesan that didn't really seem to belong. The bolognese was very bland and the rigatoni was chewy - not al dente, literally chewy. And the worst was the chicken - it was still pink. Tried to tell us it 'off-putting but fine'. Heard a lot about Tutto from friends. The restoration/renovation of this building makes a great setting for a restaurant and thematically hits the right note for an Italian meal. Service was attentive and friendly. Food is straight ahead Italian done very well--from squid to salad to pasta and fish, everything we ordered was just really well prepared and satisfying.
