I am conflicted with writing this review because I was completely happy when the nails were initially done; however, as I lived with them I began having severe buyers' remorse. The appearance of Tutti Nails is luxe. Very clean. Very modern. Excellent curb appeal. The place really does invite you in. The location is extremely convenient. I was a walk-in and needed my nails done for an outing. I have to say, my nails were looking horrible before in entered this establishment. The women who work here are extremely nice. The customer service is outstanding; it would be definitely worthy of four stars. The work itself-ummmm.....I might have taken the tech outside of her wheelhouse. I asked for a coffin shape, clear gel build out extension. She took her time (1.5hrs to be exact), she was meticulous, and she did her best. As I initially stated, I did like the nails. Where the remorse came in...they were longer than I had anticipated, too long for me to navigate. So long, that I crack my thumb nail before I left the mall. I had to cut them down, only to find out that the nails were SUPER thick and the polish wasn't cleanly done. I really wanted to give this establishment a better rating. I am not sure if I will return for this type of service. But, I might return just to get a regular manicure. read more

DON'T DO IT!!! Stay far far away from this place. Dont let the ambiance fool you. It's clean and modern but they're the absolute worse nail techs I've ever experienced. I wish I could give them zero stars. We (3 of us) went there for Mani & Pedi and we all had buyers remorse. I regret even tipping, because they didn't deserve it. Day 3 and my gel manicure was already peeling. The polish was poorly applied and it was clearly the job of an amateur. They're expensive for the worse quality of service. Came in at 8:00pm on the dot. One technician was available; on the phone and I asked if there were any available techbiciana.. she got off the phone and said yes. I told her I wanted a Mani+pedi (while noticing the price '45'). She said she could help me, and did an okay job for the pedi. Very much just okay; She finishes at 8:25 and tells me if I can come back for a manicure later. If I would a had the choice I would have had a manicure instead but obviously the choice was not mine...during my pedicure another customer walked in and asked for a quick manicure. They quickly brush her out and said they were closing... Not really worth the money and attention to customer service, etc , may look nice from the outside but $30 for a pedicure that wasn't even done thoroughly, not worth. I was passing through here and stopped in for a quick pedicure. Atmosphere: this place is spotless. All the chairs, tables and bathrooms are brand new and so far very clean. Color selection: there are plenty of color choices and the standard brands I like - OPI, Essie etc. Service: my pedicure was very quick which I appreciate but it felt a little rushed. The other places I go to tend to take their time in comparison. I also noticed I did not get the same exact service as the other lady in the salon, the complimentary tea or the back rub. I wish I could give zero stars. I went here for the first time yesterday and it was the worst experience. The staff is friendly but they obviously knew the nail polish they were using was no longer good and they kept saying something about it and 2 other workers came to look at my nails and then would say something to each other they realized I was noticing them talking about it and the lady doing my nails laughed and said oh it's cause this polish is almost finished and I mentioned to her I feel like it's to clumpy and she ignored it. Okay, I went in for a pedicure this evening. I was told the wait time was 30mins so I went to grab a coffee in the mall and came back. When I returned I was serviced my "Sunny" very sweet woman but nonetheless.. I actually had to let her know to stop the services and let her know I would rather finish myself at home. Reasoning: She did not fully take the gel off my toenails (from previous pedicure) and attempted to paint over it! When I pointed it out to her, she decided to pick a darker toenail polish color instead of the "Ballet Slippers" (THAT I CHOSE) that way it would cover the gel up! Like what!? lol anywho, I followed her to the register after stopping the pedicure in the middle. My charge? You guessed it, still full price! I asked her about it and she said that it didn't matter, it's still the same price. I got 1 color gel manicure and 1 classic pedicure but after its done I payed it was $70.00 but when I give tip of $10.00. she said I was cheap I've could've went to another nails salon but I went to them to try and see the place in the Menlo park mall.I don't think I want to go back there ever. read more

I went there for a mani and pedi...... Sunny helped me. Where do I start; first off I had to wait for 20 minutes then when she started my feet she left again. Also she painted half of one of my pinky toes....Now on to the manicure.... she was clipping my cuticles however she did not remove the skin she halfway clipped off. I had to point that out to here. I had to give her direction on painting my nails. She was not going to paint the sides of my nail. One finger the paint job was bumpy.... She was going to continue on until I pointed thatbout to her. Now for the nail that broke the camel's back........ when it was time to pay she asked me was I going to tip in cash or on my card...... (who said that I was tipping) she basically told me that I was. Then when I said I would tip with my card.......So she walked away to process the transaction, when she came back there was no line for me to decide the amount of tip I wanted to leave...... this broad gave herself an $11.00 tip...... I really wanted to like this place because of the convenience, but unfortunately, it's awful. They need another course in customer service. If they are busy- forget it. They can't handle the pressure. If you are able to see a technician, they will rush through your service and do a half ass job. Most recently, I was rushed through a gel manicure (only filed my nails and put the polish on - nothing else) and now it's chipping two days later. Go somewhere else. read more

I was meeting friends for dinner and had time to kill so stopped in as a walk-in to Tutti on a Friday afternoon (around 4:45pm). Aesthetically, the place is spotless, modern, and I was afraid to touch anything. I opted for a gel manicure. My technician was not talkative which I didn't mind and he was meticulous. It is probably the cleanest manicure I have ever received. The color selection was not as big as other salons I have been to but I am in love with the color I chose. The massage (both back and hands) was very short though. I paid $40 plus a $10 tip. I feel they overcharge just because they are in Menlo. While I really like the manicure, I will never pay the price again based on principle. read more

But I asked for a gel manicure- $45. I forgot to ask for tips as well, I wanted long nails and had short at the time. I didn't think much of the price going up, I thought around $10-15 more for it. First, not everyone in the place can do tips (seriously?). So I go to someone, who did a good job. It seemed good. I went to pay... $90. I have never in my life paid that much for tips. I thought that I'd get over it since they looked good. Two days later, one nail broke. I went to fix it... another $10. Then the day after that, another one fell apart and completely came off when I was scratching my head. Not even anything crazy. HORRIBLE salon. Do not be fooled by the pretty and modern deco like I was. That and their nail polish selection is literally all they have to offer. I went in for a mani and didn't have an appt. instead of telling me to come back, the receptionist took me and gave me the most rushed manicure I've ever had. It honestly took her maybe 8 minutes, TOPS. She didn't even have me wash my hands. Here I am 24 hours later and my mani is so chipped, I removed it all. The place is absolutely gorgeous and I just moved here so I wanted to find a place I can always go to. I got pink ANC with tips. I thought it was weird because literally every salon I've been to have given me tips with ANC but these people looked at me like I had 5 heads when I asked for it. They looked beautiful but they charged me 96 fucking dollars for this. They said it would be less next time. I'm naive I guess. Within DAYS I had two nails break. Never ever visiting again. Pretty salon but very unfriendly technicians and will try to upsell you on everything. Basic services are way higher than others in area and are basically just a polish change. I walked in right after 10 a.m. and asked if there was anyone available to do an organic dip powder fill, there was one employee there and she enthusiastically said, "yes, sure. I can do it now." After she started trying to remove my current powder dip polish she expressed concern, "I didn't know this takes so long." They offer the product, how do you not know? It was then pretty obvious this woman didnt know how to do this type of manicure. While removing the old polish she asked if my normal salon was Vietnamese or Chinese because "we don't do these a lot, we are Korean, there is a difference." Huh? Then, when 3 customers walked in, who announced they had appointments, she panicked and said, "someone else finish you." A second employee came and they both left me at the nail bar to attend to other women. The original woman comes back and says, "I don't think we have time to finish now, can you come back later?" WHAT?? She literally tried to kick me out with scratched up, unfinished, raw nails that just sat in remover for 20 minutes! I was SHOCKED! The 2 employees in the store quickly became overwhelmed by the then 3 additional women entering the salon who also said they had appointments. There were guests also waiting intermittently at the desk to make later appts or buy holiday gift cards that went completely ignored and eventually walked out. I told the original tech that there was no way I was leaving with my nails like this and if they couldn't manage their time effeciently to do the dip powder, like she agreed to, then I'd compromise for a gel mani just to get out of there. She then rushed to do it & cut my finger twice, it still hurts. Now... this is where it got real crazy... I go up to the front assuming I'd just have to pay the [expensive] cost they charge for a gel manicure, which I didn't even want in the first place. Wrong! She says to me, "I charge you extra, $10, because we had to remove powder gel." I thought I was on some hidden camera! What??? She did't know how to do the manicure I wanted properly, she tried kicking me out when too many customers with appointments arrived, she incinuated ethnic inferiority in reference to the owner of the salon I normally go to, did a crappy job and cut my fingers, then TRIED TO CHARGE ME EXTRA!" I didn't even WANT the gel polish, I wanted the dip powder! Please someone tell me I was on hidden camera somewhere for some show. Horrible!!! I went when they first opened and had a horrible experience I figured they are more settled now let's give it a second chance. I went in for a regular gel manicure and was helped relatively quickly, I explained to her what I wanted and how my last experience was less than desired, she seemed to understand and she was friendly. Towards the end I realized some of the nails weren't filed straight and she wasn't pleased to hear that she said she was starving and it was already time for her lunch break which I understood to mean I'm already taking longer than planned & to essentially stop complaining she asked me where I worked but I understood what I thought I said well and started to tell her what I was having an issue with the nails the cuticles and she said "NO! I needed to get a French manicure, so I stopped by this place since it was one of the few places open in the area. The total price for it was $19 plus tip. When I was quoted this price, I figured it would incorporate a manicure even though I was also open to a polish change, but when the lady started to polish my nails without doing anything prior, she confirmed it was just for the polish change. Yes, a polish change for $19+. I asked her what a manicure would be, and she said $3 more! On top of that, I've received a color change before, and it usually incorporates some basics, this one didn't even include hand lotion. Expensive...$55 for a powder dip manicure. It was OPI so there were very few choices and quality not as good as SNS. Plus, she used gel to do the top coat. I hate gel. Gel destroyed my nails.
