My new favorite nail place now! The owner has recently changed and they did some renovations. They have a huge collections of colors and the colors are soooo pretty! They go by appointments so I didn't have to wait long. I been there three times so far, and I love the experiences. All staffs are super friendly and they wear masks. The store is clean. SPECTACULAR NAIL SALON!! I have never had such gorgeous nails! Nancy does my nails and Andy does my pedicures and both of them are seriously amazing!! My nails NEVER chip, peel or crack and I work in medicine so I'm always using alcohol and antibacterial wipes and my nails hold up perfectly! The staff is very friendly and very accommodating. Salon is very clean as well. Huge variety of colors to choose from. Went for the first time recently. Got a great pedicure from the owner Andy. Can't beat it for $25. However, the other owner Nancy did my nails and she did not file my nails to the exact shape I like. After letting her know numerous times she still didn't shape them to my liking. Not even 2 weeks later my left thumb has already chipped after hitting it against something. Mind you that has never ever happened to my nails at my regular salon I go to (been going there for over 5 years now). Art nails charges a lot more than what I pay at my regular salon. They charged me $55 and my current salon charges $40 for UV gel and never has a nail chipped. Would I go back for my nails? Probably not. Only if I absolutely had to. For a pedicure, definitely would go back to Andy. read more

If only you could give zero stars! I tried this place for the first time because I couldn't get an appointment with my regular place , I needed a pedicure before a wedding. I've had some bad ones , but this was literally the worst. The place was empty on a Saturday morning (now I know why) yet they so rushed my pedicure, it lasted 9 minutes! So I asked for the extra 10 minutes massage for 10 dollars extra and still the whole thing was done in 20 minutes! Really!? She didn't even set a timer. Also not a clean place very old and outdated. If you need a pedicure in a pinch , go anywhere else! read more

The owner at this salon is extremely rude. She talks about you if you don't give a good tip. My daughter did not have cash and only gave ten dollars on a 75 dollar service and she said "That's all you are giving?" My daughter's nail service was rushed and the manicurist made her nail bleed. I always get my manicure and pedicures there but they just lost me as a customer. read more

Can't beat a $20 pedicure! Art Nails is located on route 34 in the Marketplace in Matawan. While they don't always have the best selection of the latest colors, the cleanliness and excellent staff make up it. Best part of the pedicure- when your nails are drying you get a quick shoulder massage! read more

Extremely disappointed with this salon. The owner is dishonest and the employees do not care about the work they do. First, I received one of the worst pedicures. It was rushed, they barley touched the bottom of my feet and the polish started chipping on the second day. The sad thing is there were 3 employees sitting around so there was no excuse for the crappy rush job. I also got a gel fill. It was average, but definitely not worth $50. I asked why it was so much and the owner told me I got a LCN fill. I did not. The only gel product used was CND. The same brand you can get at most salons for $30. read more

Nice place to go! The service is great and the price is extremely cheap--$25 for a mani and pedi! The salon is a bit cramped and they lack a variety of nail polish colors, but the cleanliness, service, and skills make up for it. I appreciated the generous use of disinfectant/alcohol, as well as asking me to wash my hands in between grooming my hands. The back massage while I was drying my nails was a plus too! read more

Not only the quickest pedicure I've ever had, possibly 15/20 mins and I added on an extra 5 mins. for $5, but one of the dirtiest places. Extremely unsanitary conditions. The woman doing my pedicure put down the purple smoother she was using and the woman next to her picked it up and used it on her customer. The nail clipper fell on the floor and she picked it up and continued to use it. The basins got a quick spray and the same sponge was used on all. I couldn't wait to get out. Never again. read more

Had a pedi there yesterday. Place was clean and not crowded. Really nice selection of polish. Pedicure was done well, although I paid $5 extra for a "spa stone" pedi. The girl did a nice job and the shoulder rub while your nails are drying is a plus. read more

I made an appointment to have a shellac manicure and pedicure done. I was taken more than a half hour after my appointment time and I was asked to walk around the plaza until they could take me. Two different people rushed my pedicure after making me wait. When I had the shellac done, the polish was applied unevenly and looked like a bad manicure not even gel. Around the cuticles was uneven, the tips were not covered with polish and within two days my nails showed deep cracks. I called and asked to have it redone. When I went to the salon and showed how poorly it had been done the owner asked if I wanted them to put another coat of polish on. Since the nails were exposed because of the breaks I felt this could cause an infection. I again said I paid for a service and I would like them redone. She said that the polish could have been bad or maybe it didn't dry long enough but they would just be putting another coat on. Since that would make my nails look worse, I told her that was not acceptable. She ignored me and continued to work on her client as I stood there. I asked her again what they could do and she did not answer. I left the salon and had the nails redone at April Nails in Old Bridge. It took less than 1 minute to remove the polish and the women told me it was because it wasn't done correctly. I will never return to Art Nails because they do not stand behind their work or product and clearly do not value their customers. read more
