A very nice salon! Very well kept and clean and a relaxing vibe. I went for the first time today and Danny gave me a beautiful set of tips with nice, cheerful holiday colors. I went there and had a pedicure It cost me $37 because I wanted them to take care of my calluses. They cut my foot in two places. When I called to let them know they told me oh okay next time don't cut your calluses. Not a good answer I could hardly walk the cuts of deep and they refuse to even do anything The best part is she was putting an ointment on my foot I guess it was my fault for not asking her why but it was to stop it from bleeding so I wouldn't know she cut me. I do not recommend this place when I called up they told me okay next time no cutting calluses and we'll give you 15% off. They will never see me again.. Never have had an issue with this nail salon until today, 4 hours after I got a call from them with a voicemail so I called back and asked what the issue was and was told that I need to come back and give them money because they messed up my bill. Following tells me that I'm childish because I said I wasn't driving 2 hours back to pay them the money that they messed up. Asks me if they can charge the card on file and I said absolutely not you may not charge my card being I paid in cash. So she says to me do you love your nails I said no I do not they are not what I even asked for and she says okay then we're even but proceeds to ask me to come pay the money and I continued to say I did not mess the bill up they did and she told me well since you paid in cash go take it and buy a sandwich with it. I stopped going to this nail salon after disappointing powder fills that did not last and a very poor, not on one occasion, pedicure with incredibly sloppy polishing. I wish I could rate higher, but, even with $10. and $20. tips, I still did not receive the lasting of my nails, I only expected 2 weeks! out of my visits. By far the worst manicure I've ever gotten! They smudged my middle finger with the paint and left it so there's that for starters. He dug so deep when he was using the tool around my cuticles that most of my fingers around the cuticles were swollen and bleeding. Pictured below is all the glue left on my hands AFTER he didn't get me to wash them an rubbed them around with cream. Absolutely horrible. The last but not least was the price, $50 for an acrylic set?!?! I've never ever been charged that much unless I got gel or dip. I rarely get nails due to the nature of the work I do. I don't mind spending on nice nails but this entire experience was not worth that at all. Not to mention they didn't have two colors I picked out and were scrambling to find my third pick. I will never ever go back to this salon and I suggest you don't waste your time or money either. (Zoom in to my fingers for glue that was left that I had to scrub off that took me a while. I have been going here for years, and have seen it through the name changes. Formerly Airport Nails, it is now Studio Nails. All of the techs are great, but I only trust my nails to Danny. He's sometimes difficult to get an appointment with, but I will honestly not trust my pink and whites to anyone but him! Steven is also very good, and has repaired my nails on occasion if I pop in on a weekend, but Danny knows exactly how I like my nails (long, square, half white and half pink) Jackie does the waxing as well. She's super friendly and efficient. She does manicures too, though I've never gotten one. They're all super quick, and you'll be in and out. Pricing is pretty consistent with the area. read more

Went to have a repair done on a nail I cracked. By the way, the owner had told me to always come right in if that did ever happen. His wife, the nail tech working on my broken nail and one other tech did nothing but talk in their native language, laugh and stare at me the whole time. While I may not speak Vietnimese, we all know when we are the butt of someone's joke. Also the nail tech reapairing the ONE NAIL was visibly annoyed, angry even. went to get my nails done today and the man at table 8, joe, was extremely rude and disrespectful. while he was doing my nails. I accidentally bumped my finger into his hand, getting an extremely small amount on nail polish on his hand, he proceeded to be very aggressive and sternly told me to "watch it" and continued to be very rude the rest of my experience. it was as if he was talking down to me the entire time and had a very unpleasant attitude towards me. I accidentally gave him the wrong hand when he was going to put the top coat on my nails and he abruptly sat back, sighed, and pointed at my other hand. it made me extremely uncomfortable and upset, being that I already have anxiety going in public in the first place and it gave me a very uneasy feeling the rest of the day. I've been going to Studio Nails many years for pedicure, nails and waxing. They do a great job. I prefer my nails to be done by Danny, and my pedicures done by Jackie- but all the techs are great. This place went extremely downhill. The old locale under a different management was wonderful. I had literally gone there for 17 years. I'm not exactly sure when they changed management but the new staff is not only lazy but rude. I travel a far distance to go this location and remain loyal (an hour on the turnpike) because they are/were quick, efficient and well priced. However each trip the quality diminished. Today, I walked in and asked if there was a wait. There was literally two customers and five workers. The place was empty. They said no we will take you right now. I sat, I waited, I picked out my color, went to the bathroom... I watched as the guy who was supposed to do my nails relaxed, had a glass of water, had a cigarette and then the other guy there tells me that it's now the guys "break" and he will go get some food and be back. I then complained that I had asked this from the gate because I was on a limited time frame. He was nasty and beyond rude. Nothing accommodating just pure rudeness. How will I start? It is worth paying more for a quality product, hygienic workplace and environment- friendly salon place. My teenage daughter and I tried out this salon for their $30 mani/pedi price. Who can beat that? The answer says it all. You will smell the toxicity once you entered the salon. I got a little nauseated just inhaling whatever cheap product they use. I observed the two men, Danny and the other guy (I guess Danny is the owner), working on the nails of women back to back. Never saw him pump a sanitizer before touching another client's hand. No gloves whatsoever. He just shakes off the dusty by product of those acrylic nails of the women, brushes his own shirt and hands and arms before doing the same thing to his clients. The woman who waxed my daughter..another issue. The wax room is a big time unsanitized. The bed is uncovered. I wonder if they even sanitize it daily basis. The pillow papertowel is unchanged. Wax used is obviously the lowest quality kind because my daughter had hives after the eyebrow and lip hair waxed. The woman spoke on her cell phone for a long time with my daughter in front of her ready to have her mani nails done. Not only that, as I was paying, she reported to me that the woman used used towels on her feet!!!! How did she find out? Before they started the cutting of her pedi naisl and after her feet were soaked, she saw cut pedi nails on the towel that this technician will use on her. What did the technician do when my daughter noticed, she folded the towel and used the other side. My daughter did not stop her out of fear. After I paid, she told me the whole scenario. I reported it to Danny, the owner. He defended the dirty linen that those are just nail polish colors that stuck on the towel after washing. He apologized but will never ever step or even smell his salon again.. That statement of his is a great example of a very low quality type of business owner. Lesson learned: stick with your more expensive nail salons who care about sanitation and environtmentally safe for all customers. Floris and Aree Nails of Holmdel are two of salons that carry these traits besides having the service and quality oriented technicians. I will observe my daughter's nails if she acquires warts or blisters. And if she does, I will contact the Sanitation inspection department of the state for it. read more
