I just got out of Urgent Care. The "pedicurist" took the heel buffer and buffered between my 2 toes, leaning on the bone and abrading the skin. I told her to stop but it was too late. Damage done.The next day my toe swelled up, painful, red, and left a crater which then became infected. Neosporin, ice packs, nothing helped. I am now on antibiotics. DO NOT GO HERE. I should have known, when she took the clipper out of her pocket to work on me. She didn't even clean them. Not even sterilized. They should be regulated by the Health Department. read more

The manicure came out so beautiful it almost looks like tips with just a gel manicure on my natural nails. The applied 3 coats of polish and filed the sides to make them look bluntly perfect. I've tried this salon a few times over the years. every time something goes wrong. last time my gel manicure chipped the very next today. today I called to book mani pedis for me and my daughter. I informed them of what happened last time. I asked if it happened again if they would fix it when I returned from our trip out of town. They declined. I decline to give them my business even though they are literally the closest salon to me. perhaps they are used to only sahm coming in. I've been going to Nail Art for about 3 years for my gel manicures and pedicures. They do an excellent job and I never have to wait. They have extensive colors of polish and can always match the gel color to regular polish for my toes. They only take cash so if you're a walk in make sure you have it. However they just installed an ATM machine just in case. read more

Went in for a quick fill before vacation. The lady doing my nails wasn't friendly and was paying attention to anything but my nails. Didn't think to ask the price before because I always pay around the same for a fill but afterwards it was $45 without tip. To top it all off my nails chipped right away which never happens anywhere else. Don't waste your money here. read more

I never have time to sit and do gels and I don't like the way gel manicures look after the first week anyway while they are growing out so I stick to regular manicures. Nail Art in Lincroft does the best regular manicure you can get- it's incredible how long my manicure stays looking fresh! A full week, sometimes even a few days after a week. Everyone is so nice in this salon, too. read more

i've been here twice. the first time i didn't realize it was cash only. a basic manicure is $12 which was exactly what i had in my wallet. after profusely apologizing that i wouldn't be able to tip, the owner repeatedly told me it was ok, no problem. i came back the next day to give a tip. as i was getting my nails done (by the owner since he was free) he kept answering the phone during the service which was annoying...but the nice thing is that they knew most of the regulars by name, and would greet them by their first name as they walked in the door. they were very friendly. i came a second time and the girl was actively trying to make small talk, which shows effort. this place is close to my house, so i'll def be back again...i'll update if i get superior (or terrible) service. they take walk-ins, which i like. read more

First and last time going here. Not my usually place but I was in the area. I called 2 hours before I went to make an appointment and ask how much the service would be. I was told $25 so I made the appointment. The lady was rough with my hands; not being gentle or careful. She told me to put my hand one way and when I did she said no do it this way. Very odd behavior. A basic acrylic fill took over an hour, my normal place is around 30 minutes. I ended up being charging $45 for whatever reason, despite originally told $25. I didn't have enough money for $45 and a tip, only enough for $25 and a tip. Had to borrow money from a friend. Nails came out nice, but the odd behavior and high, unknown price outweighs that. I have been going to Nail Art for almost three years now but I'm pretty sure I'm done. Jennifer and Tom are the owners. The girls are Young, Veronica, Ellen, Olga, Susan, and now a new girl. Jenny left mysteriously (think she was fired) and Pilar left to have a baby. Now about the nails... they get very busy and you can see the girls are overwhelmed at times which causes them to rush through my appointment. I'm paying what I consider to be top dollar for my gel nails every 4-5 weeks. When they're busy my nails are less than perfect. Not fair. This has happened 4 times now and I'm getting annoyed by it. I have an appointment, I'm a repeat customer and I'm being rushed because they are busy and have walk -ins. Also, I usually love a good pedicure, however I've personally witnessed older men coming in with very disgusting feet, yellow crumbly nails (gagging!!!) and crusty feet. These poor girls have to service these men. Aside from that, I noticed that they only clean up the foot basins when a new customer sits down. A quick spray and wipe and then they fill up the tub. I have had my pedicure done by all of the girls that do pedi's. Not all do. However, Veronica I thought was always the best until she took a chunk out of my big toe on my recent visit. Hurt like hell, wouldn't stop bleeding. I was very turned off to the salon after this episode. She felt bad but I know she cut me because she's rushing. Hate that. read more

First and foremost, you can't please everyone....these people do a nice job and are friendly and accomodating...it may take a few visits for them to warm up, but they will. I find PIlar to be extremely nice, and don't think it's fair to hate on her....hey, we all have our good and bad days....people in business are no exception. The prices are very fair, if you have objections, go to keyport or hazlet or out to route 36. I have come to know Veronica, Pilar, Jenny, Jennifer and Young. Very nice people, Yes, agreed it could be cleaner...so they lost a 'star' for that. I have found their pedicures to be average to above, but their shellac manicures are perfect! read more

I received a pedicure from nail tech, Pilar. She did a nice job however, she appeared disinterested, was not welcoming, and the massage on my feet and legs could of been longer. This was the first time trying this salon and will not go back. Also, the salon could be cleaner and the nail tech's instruments were just sitting on the floor in a basket not sterilized. In addition, they only accept cash or check which I find to be an inconvenience. read more

Today was the first and last time that I will go to this nail salon. My friend and I scheduled appointments in advance for pedicures. Our appointment was at 6;30 and I did not know the salon was closing by 7:00. The pedicure was awful!!!!! It took all of 15 mins to do!!! I basically paid for a polish change and a foot wash. While we were drying the owner asked us to pay because they were closing. I felt completely rushed and I did not get what I paid for. read more

I went to go get an acrylic gel fill on my nails. I usually go to a nail salon in Shrewsbury but since I was getting a spray tan right next to Nail Art I decided to go there instead. I called first and asked what they charged and they told me $25 which I thought was great because that's what my other nail place charges. I walked in to a dirty and unwelcoming salon. The nail artist, I do not remember her name, barely even said hello and I was shocked when I went to pay and they told me $45. I specifically called ahead because I only had $40 with me and they do not accept credit card. When I told them that they told me the wrong price on the phone they started saying very loudly that I was wrong and that they added a shellac manicure so they charged $20 EXTRA for the fill. I asked for a gel fill, not a shellac manicure on top of a fill. I was angry and embarrassed because everyone in the store heard them berating me about the price. On top of all that my nails chipped the NEXT day. Isn't that the whole reason people get gel so they won't chip??? Safe to say I will never go back there. read more
