The owner will make your fingers bleed and burn the tips of your fingers with the drill so bad to the point that they burn terribly when in the shower, no exaggeration. Respectfully called and communicated this to the owner and she asked me to come in to show her my fingers, so I did. She then refused to give me a refund unless she took my nails off. Manicures are fantastic. But probably the worst pedicure I've had. Had a 10 am appointment and waited over 30 minutes to be sat in a chair, then another 15 minutes for someone to actually come to the chair. I know it's a Saturday and walk ins are more likely, but why did I bother scheduling an appointment? Paid $48 for a gel pedicure and she didn't paint high enough, they look like they're already growing out. She kept moving the light and after years of having gel manis, I'm worried it isn't cured enough and will smudge. Really unhappy with the pedicure, but again the manicures are great. read more

I sometimes go here because it's convenient and they have a cute little kids area my daughter likes. However, each time I come I remember why this isn't my go to nail salon. The place is extremely dirty and the staff is extremely rude. Today was no different. I had a 3:15 appointment at which I arrived promptly for. At 3:35 I finally said something as I only have a babysitter until 430 and needed to be out by 415. At 342 I was sat and by 350 still wasn't seen. 4 women were sat for pedicures and started between 342 and 350 all of which had 330 appointments! The manager kept brushing me off everytime I tried to talk to her and ask if I could be seen and acted like my appointment didn't matter. I ended up walking out at 352 since no one still had acknowledged me or my appointment. They are lucky they have such a prime location on 34 - I believe that's the only reason they're still in business. Save your money and time and go to one of the many newer, cleaner, friendlier salons in the area. read more

I have been going here periodically since they opened. The manicures and pedicures are not consistent. Sometime you get a great nail tech and sometimes you don't. My cuticles are not cut properly and I have nail polish on them as well. Maybe their prices should be based on skill because I'm still paying $30 for a gel manicure that is mediocre. Or the nail tech could have paid attention to what she was doing, instead of having a conversation with 2 other coworkers. I also question the cleanliness. Although, the cuticle tools come out of sealed bag, the nail files and buffers look like they were used 500 times. And the counter and UV machine where I was getting my nails done was not wiped clean, I'm thinking in some time. Also saw one of the nail tech wipe her nose on her hand and continue working. They don't wash their hands and some wear gloves without changing them while tending to money, credit card machine and then back to a customer. I sat in front of a dirty partition to help stop the spread of viruses, but they don't practice cleanliness. I go there because other places around are worse, but not anymore. Last week I walked in in need of a pedicure. My usual place,just a mile down the road, was booked solid and I was leaving for vacation the next day. I've been inside Eden before to purchase a gift card so I figured it looked nice, they seem to be busy, they must do a good job. Boy was I wrong. It was the quickest pedicure I ever got. Basically for $30 I got a polish change. She did nothing else. Where I usually go I pay $35 (they just upped it to $40 but worth every penny) for a full hour pedicure where they scrub the bottom of your feet, massage your legs, put the oil on your heels and really take care of your feet. When I got home from this pedicure and put my sandals on, I saw that my heels were cracked and dry. She literally did nothing except re-paint my toenails and it is a week later and the polish is already coming off. What a waste of money for $15 you can get a polish change someplace else. read more

I have never been to a nail where I have experienced rudeness every single time I go. I continue to give them another chance and I regret it every time I leave. I am not the only one with this problem, the owner told my friend to leave when she was 5 mins late and she was only getting a regular manicure- nothing more than 10-15 mins. The amount of times I am 5 mins late to an appointment at ANOTHER salon and they don't treat me like is countless. I went to get dip powder and came out with a nail infection. The cuticle cutter she (Yo Yo) used was pulled right out of her drawer and not sterilized. She did the whole job in 25 mins, normally it takes at least 40 mins when I get it down. She was rushing like crazy and ended up giving me the worst nail infection ever! I have no idea why she was in rush as I was the only person she had and no one else was after me! I had to go to the doctor to get it drained. My figure was in the worst pain and I couldn't get my nails done for 2 months. Some of the girls do a great job, but the owner (Micheal) needs to relax because he runs the place like it's a court office and it makes me dread getting my nails done when I go. The things he says to customers are rude and I'm always shocked when I hear it! THIS IS WHY HIS CUSTOMERS NEVER STAY!!!! If you go I personally love Liz she is the one who usually does my nails and takes her time! I know I am not the only one with this issue because people I know that go there or stopped going there have had the same issue. Second time coming here. First time I got a gel mani and pedicure. Pedicure was great. Gel mani wasn't so great considering the fact that when he got the bowl of water to soak my cuticles, there were little "jelly" feeling things in the water. I wasn't sure exactly what it was but I figured it was something fancy they put in the water. The bowl was dark so it was hard to see it at first but when he switched hands the lighting was better and those "fancy jelly things" were in fact previous customers old cuticles. I literally wanted to vomit. I was dying to see how he washed the bowl when he was done with me. He cleaned his cuticle remover tool in bowl of the water when he was done with it and took it over to the sink and just dumped it out. No sponge wash, not even a simple rinse. Second time I got lcn. The owner was nice to me and my daughter but it wasn't so nice to some of the customers that called. He would roll his eyes when they hung up and say that some people are crazy. One customer called asking for the price of something and when they hung up he said "who calls asking for pricing anymore? Customers are always looking for a bargain." Overall- 1 star for salon being nice with soothing music inside 1 star for owner being very nice and patient with my daughter I give my nails a 1-2 out of 5. This was the worst experience I've ever had. I had an appointment for a gel pedicure and a gel fill. When removing my previous gel polish on my feet, the tech ripped my skin off of both big toes with the electric sander. They didn't even try to clean it out until I asked them for a paper towel for the blood. While doing my gel fill, the tech ripped off the cuticle on 8 of my 10 fingers. They're now extremely inflamed and scabbed over. The worst part, they made me pay the full amount of $95 for the services! Listen to the other reviews. I spent days reading reviews and saw the mixed reviews here and still decided to come. The nail tech I had was Nancy and she's was terrible. I asked her 3x to manicure my nails not to just add polish, she kept telling me she wasn't done. Then she announced she was done and still did not manicure my nails or clean my cuticles. So I have fresh coat of polish with dry and unmanicured cuticles. The owner, Michael tried to manicure my nails after the gel polish was done, after the third nail I told him to stop. It's even harder to manicure nails after the polish application. The nails are lumpy as you can see in the picture and the pedicure was also poorly done. Nancy had an attitude and didn't give me a massage. The owner gave me a small discount for Nancy's terrible service. read more

2 stars because the work my pedi looks good. Would have been a 1 because poorly managed. I had a noon appointment, waited 15 min to get seated to wiait another 6 minutes for a lady to begin my pedi. I had booked a gel mani and a pedi but left after the pedi. I ran out of time. There was no wa a gel manicure could be done in 15 min start to finish. No one even started my soaking of the gel. I went to get a hard gel with tips, dinner my nails are not very no long, so I wanted to see if I could get them a bit longer for my vacation. 3 days in I break a nail, ok my fault, next day, a nail falls off, I glue it back, next day, 2 nails fall off, glue them back. Every time I have come here my manicure is extremely rushed and turns out poorly. If you don't have an appointment, multiple people will end up doing your nails. This results in a sub-par manicure that takes much longer than necessary. I also felt as though my business was a burden to the staff, and they didn't care about giving me a relaxing experience. In addition, the last time I got a manicure here, my pink gel- manicure faded to a weird washed out yellow color and cracked within hours of walking out of the salon. I walked in hoping to be accommodated as other people stated they had, however they are much busier now. She is a talented at Pinterest nail designs too. 3. Pay cash. They have an incentive card and you earn double the points if you pay cash. Gel manis are $25 dollars which is pretty amazing. And they had a list of pedicure packages for the month of May. I opted for a fancy mint pedicure where my legs were wrapped up Honestly if you live locally this is your spot. Finally!!! I've been in Matawan for 4 years (from Brooklyn & then Staten Island), and have only just now found a nail salon I could spend hours in. The prices are still super-reasonable because they've only just opened (hopefully they'll keep them reasonable so I can be a regular!) I went in with my 9 and 4-year-olds for my eldest daughter's birthday. She got a mani/pedi with me, and my youngest got a mani. The techs were super-sweet and treated my girls as full-price paying customers - I've been to places where they just kinda sweep tiny humans under the rug ,and just get them done as quickly as possibly to get them out. My girls have never been to have their nails done though and now they're in love - uh-oh! The massages really did them in! lol and they gave them hand painted nail art, too!!! My mani/pedi were super relaxing and the massages perfect. My nails were gorgeous (I've already removed the polish though since it chipped, so no picture). I'm really impressed with this salon and am even more excited that it's down the street from my house! My other favorite thing about this place (which is pretty important to me) is that aesthetically, it's beautiful inside, they don't have any TVs (I HATE TVS AT PLACES IN WHICH I'M TRYING TO RELAX!!!!!) and they have nice calming music playing!
