I've been coming to Nails Limited 2 since I was in MIDDLE SCHOOL, probably since I was around 13 years old. I AM NOW 21 YEARS OLD!!! I have reason for my LOYALTY!!! For the past ALMOST DECADE of my life I went to Jimmy (rest easy, always in my heart..) & I had moved to Connecticut 2 years ago so I stopped going for some time because I would only come to NJ occasionally for short visits when I wouldn't have time to sit & get my nails done. So I went on ENDLESS searches to try to find a nail salon that would be just as good as them. (No such luck)- every salon I went to either messed up my nails, cut my fingers so badly, or were just too far. so FINALLY, I came to NJ for a longer visit & I was able to come back, I gave up my search to try to find a nail salon just as good. I only come here because of Kiarah. Every other experience with anyone else was HORRIBLE. I had a nail break so came in for a fix. Kiarah wasn't available so I had to go to someone else. We couldn't find the color so I asked for a different polish. Mind you, I paid for a gel manicure at the time and just got my nails done 4 days prior. I checked out and it was $20!!!! Are you kidding me?! He didn't even take off the top coat so the polish was bulky AF and lifted within another week. I shouldn't have been charged for the new polish AT ALL if he couldn't find the color he used and for not even removing the old polish. Second time that broke the camels back was when I went in for a PLAIN no polish pedicure. I had been getting gel on my toes for the summer and went in for just a simple, fresh pedicure to let my toes take a break. Well, they charged me $10 to remove the polish and charged me $25 for the subpar basic ass pedicure. I left there with uneven shaped toe nails, rough heels, and a level 10 annoyance. If Kiarah ever does her own thing (which I hope she does) ... I will never ever go back to this salon. Edit: another nail broke due to lifting after two weeks. I currently use LCN because of the issues with the gel polish. I called to cancel my appointment so I can start going somewhere else and the front desk girl was rude as anything. I have been a customer of Nails Limited 2 off and on for over 3 years now. Typically I only see Jimmy or his wife Sophia. But today I called on the fly for two gel manicures for myself and my wife. We were grateful that they were able to get us in last min, but didn't recognize any names of the nail techs who were available, so told them to book us with whomever. Biggest mistake I've ever made. My wife's manicure was excellent, mine- not so much!!! This nail tech not only cut up my cuticles and made them bleed, but the gel application was less-than desirable. Most of the employees are very sweet and welcoming. I went to get a gel fill before the weekend; it felt really rushed (there are still old gel color on the edges of my nail) and the table had nail pieces on it from someone prior. Eventually, the guy brushed the nail piece off but it landed right on me... The nails were fine until a few days later when I was putting my shoe on and my nail snapped in half. I went in for a repair and the same guy did it. He did not clip off the rest of my nail that was left to replace it, but he filed it down so much it began to burn my nail. Again, it felt rushed. However, everything seemed fine after that and I started to walk out when I realized that same nail he just fixed was already lifting. It is about TINA. This female is very rude, does not listen to the costumers' wishes and does not pay any attention to their personal needs or comments. She thinks that she is a queen in their salon which allows her to treat the costumers with contempt. Here is my story. Once in a while I was going to this salon for gel manicure, pedicure, which was done by different people. My very first (in this salon) manicure was done by Tina, then other people were doing the service for me since my work schedule is not flexible, and I was not able always to fit to her schedule. Today's appointment was scheduled in advance and when Tina saw me, the first thing she said was that she did not realize that I was waiting for her since my nails were done by other people previously (don't I have a full right to get anyone in their salon to provide the service for me if they are available?) Prior she stared to apply the color, I asked Tina to try different color on one of my nails to see the look, and she refused to do it. While Tina was doing my nails, suddenly, she started to tell me the story that somebody realized the amount of the charge at home, called salon to dispute the charge. What these have to do with me? Tina said that her charge today is $45. I said "fine". I recalled that last couple times (in July and August 2023) charge was $40 for exactly the same service. She started to explain to me that the increase is related to Covid(? who remember Covid?), "almond shape of my nails" etc. By the way, my nails have to be very short due to the nature of my work. She was talking endlessly about what she remembers from long time ago (which did not make any sense to me) and her speech was putting me down and humiliating me a lot. By the way, the young girl at the reception was very nice, I paid the charge, left some tips for the Tee( he did my pedicure) and left tips for Tina. Of course, my day was ruined, her disrespect was hurting me. I shared this experience with one of my friend and she encouraged me share it with other costumers. Went today to get a nail fixed and a gel manicure... not my usual nail place. The guy who did my nails was HORRIBLE. So rushed, and when I told him he hurt my finger, he proceeded to tell me he didn't. He attempt to fix my nail with crazy glue but it still had a huge gap where it was broken. I told him that was not fixed correctly, he got upset with me. Finally got him to fix it correctly (lcn,$5 more) then he cut all my nails too short. They all look like little stubs. Prior to the pandemic, I went to this salon for about a year and a half. I always left with nice looking finger nails and toe nails. The reason for the 3 stars and not a bit higher is that they had hired a new, young front desk person (I believe Maria is the one that had primarily worked there until they hired the new girl and she is wonderful) that really messed up a lot of my appointments. I'm very busy so I usually have to plan far ahead to make sure everything works out. I think in a matter of 2 or 3 months, about 3 of my appointments were messed up (that's about half of them since they're every 2 weeks). One was booked for the correct day but the wrong month, etc. I would get surprise phone calls at work that I had an appointment and they wanted to know where I was, all the while, the front desk girl had booked the wrong day. When I went back the next time, I was more or less blamed for these mishaps (I did mess up an appointment one time many months before that I take full credit for but the rest were not my doing). I didn't really appreciate that mentality since I'm was a regular customer who tips very well and was reliable. I also felt toward the end, that my appointments were being cancelled last minute because someone wanted to take a last second trip that weekend. I think when you work in a business like that, you have to plan ahead, take the days off that you need so your clients can plan around it, not surprise them 2 days before. I ended up having a lot of missed weeks between the new front desk girl and the last minute trips. I was in the works of finding a new place but then the pandemic came along. If you have a more flexible schedule than I do I think this place does a good job with the actual work and would be just fine. read more

I was choosing between 2 colors but the girl yelled at me and said in a loud voice,"which one you want??" The way she said it was rude and she was loud. Was able to make an appointment (& got a text confirmation) for a Friday afternoon very easily with a friendly receptionist for a gel manicure. A super sweet knowledgeable staff with a clean and modern salon. Tina was very nice, made suggestions to strengthen my nails and explained everything too; great selection of colors and services as well. I like coming to this nail place the atmosphere is so nice to just relax and get a mani/pedi. Everything is very modern I love the decor. They have new equipment with polish racks and a nail bar. They also have a lemonade/iced tea stand! Everyone is very friendly and they greet you as soon as you walk in. I've been coming here for about 6 years and I'm always happy with my gel manicures! The staff is friendly and the salon is very clean.

Jimmy and Sophia do their absolute best to accommodate their clientele, and their staff is amazing! I have been a regular for a year and a half, and have never before gotten so many compliments on a manicure or pedicure. They feel like family to me. I bring my kids here as well and have recommended others who have become regulars. I will continue to do so. I usually see Tee, but I know others who see Tommy, Tina, and Rebecca. Because of my schedule, I saw a new person today, Ruby, who started 4 days ago. I highly recommend any of the people who work here. Racist Unfriendly Establishment It saddens me because I have never had to leave such a review for any establishment however, I feel obligated to do so. My sister and I came in with an appointment and from the start we did not feel a warm and inviting atmosphere. After at least 30 minutes of waiting we were finally seated in which both workers, I believe one was the owner (male & female) , quickly asked for our color and began our nails. Our nails were finished and looked "ok" at best. As soon as they were done, the worker quickly stated "we can pay here." The issue is the register is at the front near the door where everyone pays however, myself and sister being the only African Americans at the salon we're asked to pay the full bill directly at our seat. Although we did pay, it is sad to see such prejudice. Not one other customer was asked to pay at their seat in a full salon. I would never give this place my business again and have advised many others not to do so. I would hope others reading this review also no longer do the same. read more

Love this place! I've been going here exclusively for almost three years and the staff is always sweet and helpful to me. They are great at giving you exactly what you want and the product is solid quality. I usually get tips with gel and they are STURDY! I have gone to Tiffany for over a year at this point, and she is FABULOUS. She does a gel manicure, pedicure, and my eyebrows flawlessly every time. She is super sweet and really takes her time/makes sure everything is done perfect. On top of that, the salon is extremely clean and very modern looking. Not only did she embarass me on the spot in front of 3 clients not knowing if i had lcn or gel - this person treated me with such disrespect I was appalled. As a business owner myself I would never speak to a paying client like this. I had went here for a mani pedi after getting a gift card, the entire time the lady tried to push me to get a gel manicure after l said no because I do not like gel/ they always make my nails crack. I am new to the area and needed to find a convenient and location to get my nails done consistently. I decided to try it again and the experience was very different. It upsets me to write this review because I have been a customer for many years (5 plus years), however, I am done with this nail salon. Apparently I made the wrong appointment and was yelled at when I arrived. It seems once you become a regular the owner and her family no longer want to do your nails, so they don't let you make appointments with them. I told them I needed a gel fill-in appointment when I needed a gel fill appointment. When you get a gel fill anyone can help you, but when you say fill in, only the family members know how to do it, so they don't want to waste their time with regulars. I was literally yelled at twice during my time there by the owner. She was so angry while she was doing my nails she was burning me with the file. I always give a $10 tip on $40 manicure and don't understand why they are so rude. I have put up with it long enough but after being yelled at yesterday, and having a customer stop me in the parking lot saying she would have walked out, I am done. She was great but instead they sent me To another woman who literally had no idea how to do nails. I've never had a 20 minute pedicure. 20 minutes. I would not recommend this nail salon as there are many many other salons in the area who actually care to give a nice relaxing experience. She was rushed, gave me a 60 second massage on each leg and couldn't get me out of the chair fast enough. My husband could and would have done a better job. The OWNER AND the tech will make indirect comments to you. The tech was on nail 9 about to put lotion on my hands and goes "do you like the color? You're not gonna come back and complain are you?"
