If I could give this place zero stars I would. Not only did they cut my big toe so badly that blood was dripping down my foot, but only four hours later the entire color fell off one of my toes! This place sucks! Don't waste your money.

    Getting my pedi on.

The absolute worst salon I've ever been to! My nails chipped hours after leaving. The lady was rude the pedi was rushed she had no idea what she was doing no massage nothing DO NOT GO THERE!!!

Gel Pedicure $30. The girls really spend there time making sure your nails are real cleaned up . They are really nice. I told them how one of my nails was hurting and they made sure to fix it. They also give a regular massage and a hot stone massage for the same price. My nails were also really nice after they were done. Dont know why theres all negative reviews. They always do a good job with me . Thanks unique.

You can see cuticles were not properly cut and the gel polish is thin and streaky.

I don't think I'd ever go back. I had a below mediocre experience for average NJ pricing. I'd be happy with an average experience for average prices - but not below. I went in for the $39 gel manicure and pedicure. First off, very old/limited selection of regular nail polishes. I wanted a creamy peach (which is popular now) but ended up with something orange-y that I let them convince me was peach. In any lighting I've been in since - it's more orange. The selection of gel colors seemed to be good, but then every color I picked was different than the sample. They said it was because the samples were made such a long time ago; but I think it's because they were showing samples that they didn't have the actual polishes for. My pedicure was done by a girl who looked so young I felt bad to have her do it! But, as it is summertime, I rationalized that was the reason she wasn't in school. They seemed to do a lot for the basic pedicure - honey, wrapping saran wrap on my legs, hot stone, etc; but I'm a believer in do one thing really well. I would have been a lot happier with a more thorough scrub on the bottom of my feet and a cut/file that left my toenails even rather than having all the "bells & whistles" that weren't quality, nor did I feel like they did anything besides waste time. But again, couldn't get mad at the girl because she was so young - and for her age, I'm sure she did the best she could. Then a woman, I believe to be the owner, did my gel manicure. Personally, I hate switching - I prefer the person who does one service to do both, but this seems to be the way they operate, as this woman was doing all of the nails while the other younger girls were doing the pedicures. She was nice and struck up a conversation, which I appreciate, but my cuticles were not cut as they should have been and I definitely needed an extra coat of polish. My nails look streaky and "bare" in spots.

Gel paint chipped already and my fingers had so much glue and gel around them they are peeling !!! So annoyed and $55 later!!

The woman who did my nails did a horrible job. Wish I could give 0 stars. I went 8 hours ago and my gel is already peeling off my nails. I spent $55 for a full gel set and the Polish is peeling. Im not very happy about this ....plus I asked for my nails to be thin and that didn't really happen. I won't be going back. They're pricey and do not offer the quality I was expecting nor do the Polish last! Plus...they aren't shiny like usual gels they are cloudy which makes me believe she wiped me down too fast. Also, my nails are bumpy in some spots. I'm so annoyed !!!! I also want to add that as the days went on even more of my nails chipped. I'll never go to this dump again. Don't waist your money, go elsewhere.

No stars!! I went in last week for a pedicure on a Friday the lady doing my pedicure talked me into a gel manicure because in total for both services it would be $39, I thought hmm okay great, NOT. A few hours after my manicure my nails started to peel. I believe she wiped too early and took the shine and color right off. Now today it's been a week my pedicure is still going strong by manicure is disgusting!! Needless to say I have to go spend more money to have a nice manicure. Don't waste your time or their time. Just awful. Also, the ladies kept calling me princess because I have a louie Vuitton, so rude I'm not a princess I just like nice things..

And that's after she removed some of the polish off my cuticles look at the ripples look at the terrible job

I will give them zero stars worst placed ever owner is rude the least amount of nail polish on my nails continued to put it on my cuticles when I asked her to clean it up she's like oh you want me to take them off you don't like it why don't you tell me before you didn't say anything before just the weirdest rudest dreadful experience ever I will never go there again wish I would've read the reviews first

Let me start with stating I have never before posted a negative review of a business. Especially…read moreas this review is for a small local shop, I do so now somewhat reluctantly. However, the treatment and (lack of ) customer service I received at Keyport Nails motivates me to report my experience. I went to Keyport Nails for the first time a few days before Christmas. I intended to get a regular-polish manicure, but they suggested gel. Having frequently gotten gel manicures when I lived elsewhere, I agreed to the upgrade/upsell ($40 plus $8 tip for a French mani) figuring my past gels usually lasted at least two weeks, and being holiday season I had several social events to attend. The manicure looked nice and the tech seemed skilled enough. (She did say to me, "don't wash your hands or the polish will come off," which I found odd as I'd never been told that before with a gel manicure. I did take note and manage to go almost the entire afternoon without getting my nails close to water.) Upon arriving at my car after the manicure, I noticed a rough spot on the tip of one nail so I returned and was told it was "skin." (It wasn't.) She filed the tip a little and I left thinking I was happy to find a local nail salon. A day later I noticed that that white tip for which I had returned to the shop had mostly peeled off but figured since I was leaving New Jersey later that day to spend the holiday at my mother's, I'd go to a local salon near her to get it redone. Upon getting out of the car at my mother's, I noticed an entire (different) nail's polish had peeled off (all in one piece). I called Keyport Nails and explained what happened (figuring they would at least offer to redo the two nails when I returned to Keyport the following week), and was told that unless I came back in the next day or two they wouldn't do anything to help me. Even though I explained I was visiting my family for Christmas and there was no way to get back there until after Christmas, the woman I spoke to did a kind of virtual shrugging of her shoulders. Feeling disappointed at the prospect of having two nails unpolished for my festive events, I decided to have both nails fixed the following day at a local place at some unknown cost. However, by next morning ALL of the remaining polish had peeled off in single sheets from both hands. I decided to just live without the polish for Christmastime and go into Keyport Nails after my return on December 29, as they would realize there's no way that properly applied gel polish wouldn't last even a week. When I went in and explained to Keyport Nails that we had spoken previously and in the meantime all the polish had come off, the woman (manager, I presume) responded that some nails don't "take gel" and that must be the case with mine (even though I told her I had had many a gel manicure in my time and never had any experience even close to this) and that it was too many days later (even though I had called before Christmas) and there was nothing she would do about it. What a way to treat a customer! (And one who was prepared, and even mentioned so after treatment, to be a returning one!). I was friendly and calm -- no "Karen" behavior! - in my interaction with her and I was truly shocked by her complete dismissal of me and my wasted $48 for a gel mani that lasted 3 days. Based on other reviews of Keyport Nails, I am generously assuming that my polish-peeling experience was an aberration. Nevertheless, I find no excuse for how I was treated, and that I was basically "blamed" for having the "wrong" kind of nails. Even if that claim were true (clearly it isn't since I've had dozens of gel nails done with no problem), that is no way to treat a customer.

(I have nerve damage in three fingers and can't feel anything in) There was blood everywhere. She wasn't even careful about trying to contain it and clean it up properly, just spreading it around and smearing it everywhere with a tissue, and STILL had the balls to try to charge me for the manicure that I wound up not even finishing! This past Friday evening, I decided to give them another chance, thinking I shouldn't judge everyone there because of one person's mistake. I wanted a simple manicure and pedicure. My pedicure came out fine. My manicure, not so much. Right after he started polishing my nails, I realized the color was way off from the color on my toes. I asked him to stop and redo it with the proper color. Instead of removing what was already on my nails, he just continued on with the other color right over it. More than half my nails and never even got a bottom or top coat. By late Saturday morning, my polish was already chipping. I went back and asked them to fix it. I was met with a very nasty attitude from the girl in the front. Which, of course, made me uncomfortable to even sit there and let them "fix" them. Well, the "fix" was just throwing one more coat of polish on the two nails that chipped, instead of taking it off and doing it the right way like it should have been done from the beginning. My nails were all chipped and DISGUSTING by Monday morning!! Nail salons in this area are a dime a dozen. I will definitely find one who knows how to do their job correctly.

Sadly, I can no longer support this business and feel compelled to warn others. The owner, Anni, has always had a reputation for being nasty and disrespectful -- not only to clients but even to her own employees. Many of my family and friends stopped going years ago because of her attitude. I continued only because the salon was close to my home and I truly adore the pedicurist I've been with for years. Most recently, I had a truly upsetting experience. I had gotten a pedicure a few days prior, then tripped and chipped the polish on one toe. I went back to kindly ask for a quick touch-up. Instead of treating me with respect, Anni started loudly calling me a liar in front of other customers because I couldn't recall the exact day of my appointment (I work two jobs and don't keep track of dates). When I quietly approached her about it, she doubled down, mocked me by asking how old I was, and continued to speak to me in a nasty, humiliating way. Another customer who overheard even looked at me with sympathy because it was so unprofessional. I am heartbroken to leave the pedicurist I've supported for years, but I will never return to this salon again. No client deserves to be treated this way. If you are considering this salon, please be aware of how the owner behaves toward both customers and staff.

There is a man (i just assume he is an owner) who comes around during your manicure and gives you a five minute neck/shoulder/arm massage which literally makes my brain feel like it's melting.
