I checked in and sat down until they were ready for me. Eventually, I was taken back to a room to begin the wax process. One thing to note is that they use hard wax at this establishment. That was a first for me. Everything went pretty well during my appointment. I'm not going to lie, I would definitely prefer to visit a more local, small business, but European Wax Center does come in clutch when you need it.

I ended up going back on another date to get my eyebrows done and that was a pretty good experience as well. Being that I was an avid customer at another wax place before moving to this area, here's a few things I wish I'd Wax That had to offer that I'm accustomed to: - The use of a cooling gel on those really sensitive areas (such as your upper lip) post-wax - Offering packages/bundles of services. My manicure and pedicure were flawless and the nail tech was very sweet and friendly. My wax was pretty painful but maybe because I hadn't had one since the Summer and forgot how bad and awkward they can be. However, the lady offered to give me a complimentary touch up a week after, which I thought was nice. Clients were coming in back to back for waxing in the couple of hours that I was there, so this must be the place to go! They also have a location in S River which is much closer to where I live, so I wouldn't mind trying them out the next time I muster up enough courage to get another wax!

Lol They were very smooth, for weeks, from this salon. So, my gel polished nails actually got a couple thin, pin cracks on them a couple days later. Don't know why. I looked up online. Sometimes this just happens. They were puzzled like me as to how it happened so quickly & the way it did. I wasn't able to come in right away to fix. However, 4-5 days later I came in & they took all my gel off & redid them for me, free of charge, nicely & without blaming me. (In a different color of course.) I just have to finish by saying that the customer service is impeccable here! They listen to you. What you want & even suggest designs or cool different ideas. Not like some salons that give attitude or try to talk you out of designs because they aren't skilled enough. I got there about an hour & half before closing & they DO NOT do a rush job like some salons do. They even have gel and regular polish in the exact same color! The last appointment, she asked me to come in 30 minutes early, which I did. The point of this was to give me time to pick out a color; allegedly. When I arrived, she was not there, only her husband. Upon arrival, he rudely directed me to "sit in the chair" after I greeted him hello. When he asked me to choose colors from the swatches, I called out about TEN COLORS only for him to tell me that they did not have that color. Finally, Julie arrives 40 minutes after I arrived. She explained that her husband does not know where any of the colors are. Only she does. So basically, there was NO reason for me to get there 30 minutes earlier as he was not able to help locate the colors, only she could do this. I finally spoke up asked "I got here 9:00. Why was I told to get here 30 minutes early." That is when she insinuated hand gestures to be quiet and not to ask. She would not answer and dismissed my question. When I asked again, she gave a huge attitude ; angry tone and said something like "Stop talking about this so I can work; are you going to talk?? Then I can not work" Later she told me that she wanted me to sit nicely and quietly while she keeps me waiting, just like her other customers do. Um, no thanks. Some other details: The place you dunk your feet in for pedicures looks dirty; as if it is something you may find in your garage. On two occasions, she cut too deep into my cuticle and almost caused an infection in one finger, redness in the other. I notice that they do not have all the colors that are offered on the swatches. She did the worse cat eye I have ever seen in my life. You can hardly see the cat eye and it faded quickly. The nail polish they use always seems to get dull marks very quickly. Both points she claimed were my fault for using harsh chemicals (which I dont') And this never happened at other salons. Stay clear of here.
