Chicken Pesto Panini
Terri C.

I've been to many Turning Points around NJ and this one fits right in. The decor, food, menu and vibe are all consistent. As soon as I walked into this restaurant, I knew I was in a Turning Point. I've been trying to order different things each time. Here, I ordered the pesto chicken panini sandwich with the tortilla chips and salsa. It was really good. I thought the panini bread could have been heated longer for a more crispy exterior but it was still pretty good. There wasn't a lot of pesto but the flavor came through. The chips were fresh and crunchy.

We visited during the off-season around 8am, so it wasn't too busy. The place is adorable--from the outside to the cozy interior, it's such a sweet spot for breakfast or brunch! The drinks menu is full of fun specialty options, and the food portions are huge (in the best way!). It looked like there was only one server working, so things moved a little slowly--about 15 minutes to get our drinks and another 20 for our food. Our server was really kind and even asked the kitchen to rush our order, but it still took a while, and we were definitely getting a bit restless. Overall, super cute place with yummy-looking options--just be prepared for a slower pace if they're short-staffed!

After 12 years in NYC, I finally made it to the Jersey Shore. The beach was stunning but it didn't take long before I felt hungry. Fortunately, Turning Point was nearby, so we stopped in for a bite. Even though I'm on the Whole30 diet, I found options that fit. I'm sure I tested the cashier's patience with my questions but she was kind and helpful, making sure everything was prepared just right. I ordered eggs, bacon, and potatoes, which really hit the spot. It was simple, but delicious. I'll definitely return once I'm off the diet so I can truly enjoy the menu. The place was busy, so the wait for food was a bit long but once it arrived, we dug in. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and the whole vibe gives a classic beachside restaurant feel.

Came here for lunch during a beach trip and it was a great experience! Plenty of seating and so many great options on the menu. I ordered the Avocado Smash Benedict and it was delicious. Staff are also very friendly. Any Turning Point is a great dining option!

Reliable breakfast stop. Arrive early. It gets crowded. Indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly staff. Variety of options. Gluten free/ vegan. Egg whites. Large portions. Clean bathrooms.

Perfect location right at pier village. Across the street from the beach and centrally located with all the shops and other restaurants. We were seated quickly and attended to in a timely manner. Thought the pricing was good, food came out quickly, and it was tasty! Always can rely on a turning point restaurant for a good brunch. We all enjoyed our meal.

Tuscany Omelet

Such a nice location by the pier- we went on a weekday with practically no wait. We were seated immediately and had our usual selection from the menu (they also had seasonal items!) My omelette came with buttered English muffins and morning potatoes - such a big portion, and couldn't finish it all. I got the Tuscany omelette which contains bell peppers, spinach, chopped sausage and mozzarella. Some of my colleagues got the avocado toast, which was so refreshing, and others got another version of an omelette. Good atmosphere by the shore, and reasonable prices. Restaurants can get pretty pricey by the ocean. Wish there was some outdoor seating though! ty for reading :D

This is right across the street from the restaurant. There is plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the view.

I was in the area for work, and based on the reviews, I decided to try this spot out. I am so glad I did!! I absolutely loved this place. The location, the staff, the food and beverage selections were all great!! It was definitely a tough decision on what to choose, but I chose the Fall special, Lobsta Cado Toast. It was fantastic. I also had an iced vanilla chai tea, which was also really good. I would definitely recommend trying this spot.

The restaurant wasn't crowded but was definitely more full than I would expect at that hour. The entrance gave very Miami vibes with the palm trees, string lights, and faux grass. We opted to sit outside and were glad we did, they have a very long dock with plenty of seating where you get to view the marina. You are definitely paying for the ambiance and the ability to smell the fresh ocean breeze. We decided to order cocktails and a bunch of apps to share. I was disappointed to find out that they ran out of the liquor they needed for the Lychee Beach cocktail. I hope they were able to restock before the dinner crowd. We got a dozen of the beach blondies which were very fresh and tasted of the ocean in a good way. You could tell the calamari was not frozen and fried fresh as it was crispy with the perfect amount of breading. The Korean BBQ wings tasted more like regular BBQ sauce and the crab cake was a bit on the small side. They did not skimp on the mushrooms on the mushroom flatbread pizza, which I feel like is hard to find. The main reason I took off a star is because service was slow and it was because our server was taking a break while we were dining. Let me be real, there is nothing wrong with taking a break but at least get another server to sub in. We could visibly see her standing to the side eating her lunch as we dined.

If you're a seafood lover, I recommend starting off with the charred octopus or the shrimp fritters. The octopus was tender, smoky and perfectly charred. The shrimp fritters were golden and crispy filled with delicious, juicy shrimp. You also have to try the spicy tuna hand roll. Fresh, silky tuna with a kick of spice, perfectly wrapped in crisp seaweed--this hand roll is a must for sushi lovers. The dry aged cowboy ribeye steak was unbelievable. With every mouthwatering bite I found myself just wanting more. It was honestly one of the best steaks I've ever had. The golden, buttery scallops melted in my mouth with every bite, paired with ultra-creamy goat cheese polenta for the ultimate indulgence. An irresistible dance of flavors made for sharing. We topped off the night with this decadent, warm brownie crowned with silky ice cream--an intimate finish that's both rich and irresistibly smooth. I cannot confirm nor deny that we finished the whole skillet. Service was very attentive and friendly and the atmosphere is upscale and sleek. They had a duo playing live music (one with a guitar and one with a cajon). They were very good. So, the noise level was high, but you could still strike a conversation. We ordered some calamari, some burgers and a Mac and cheese for my daughter. They were delicious. Can't complain. Great bar food. The Patty Burger, though, could've used a little more seasoning. It's a place worth hanging out if you want good food at relatively good prices, while having a good time listening to live music. Great alternative to Mcloone's or Ava. Do check them out.
