I went to the Doylestown location (to eat in) for the first time this morning. The hostess had wonderful customer service. She greeted me immediately, asked if I wanted to sit at a booth or counter (I was alone) She was super attentive. I am a coffee snob and told her I wanted French Press, she recommended two of her favorites, which I picked one. The fireplace being on was a great touch! She checked on me often (had some food) and I told her I would def. be back. I watched her greet every customer and waited on some. Really great experience. read more

Our family enjoyed our lunch very much yesterday at Turning Point, in Doylestown. The meals were delicious; however, the real difference maker for the great experience was our server. Jules provided amazing service and was extremely helpful in suggestions for lunch. She was very calm and had enormous patience with one person in our party who had multiple requests for his lunch. My wife and I had visited the Turning Point-Westfield, NJ, on several occasions and when we saw there was one nearby, we did not hesitate to stop in for breakfast. We stopped in on a Tuesday morning around 0930 hours. Before we left our hotel, we attempted to put our name on the wait list and received a message that because we were a party of two, there was no wait time. When we arrived, we saw multiple empty tables, an empty counter area, and did not believe we would be waiting long. The hostess took our name and told us it would be a few minutes. A few minutes turned to 20 minutes. We noticed two small families walk in after us and sit down at the counter which was not offered to us. We began with the Hawaiian Kona Blend French Press Coffee which did not disappoint. As coffee snobs, it was excellent as usual. I ordered the Grand French toast with the real maple syrup, pork sausage links, and my wife ordered the Wilbur skillet which consisted of potatoes, crushed bacon, avocado, diced tomato, jack cheese & 2 scrambled eggs. The English muffin which came with it was soaked in butter, which was not preferred. The portion was generous but she believed it was not as good as others she had in the past. My wife and I both said there was something missing about this location and believed the Westfield location was better. We joined the waitlist at 25 to 30 mins go there about 20 mins in and waited for an additional about 20 mins. I thoughts such high wait times, food must be amazing. The restaurant had a ton of empty tables, so I am assuming under staffed for long wait time. Our waiter was super nice and helped recommend a drink. I went with the campfire latte for $6.20, and my boyfriend went with MARSHMALLOW cold BREW, which I think was way better than my campfire latte. For breakfast, we went with the BREAKFAST COMBO for $16. It came with a Belgium waffle , 2 eggs your way i got scrambled with cheese, chicken sausage & and a side of potatoes. If you are feeling hangry, make sure to eat a quick bite beforehand since this place is always busy! I wish I asked for the hostess' name because she was so sweet and friendly. My family and I asked to sit outside at the last minute (sorry) and she accommodated us! Their outside patio is a little small, but spacious at the same time. Our server was attentive and friendly as well. There are so many scrumptious options to choose from, it was difficult! Lol. First, this place is crazy popular. It took us months to get in the first time because every Saturday and Sunday it has been packed with wait times of well over an hour. My assessment: Worth the wait. Newbie tip: Get there before 8:30 a.m. on weekends unless you want a long wait. We finally got in about two weeks ago. The Avocado Benny trumped every Eggs Benny I've ever had, hands down. We went again today, Oct. 31, 2021, and while I wanted that Avocado Benny again, I wanted to make sure Turning Point wasn't a one-trick pony. Hint: They're not. We both had skillets - mine was the Popeye. His was the Wilbur. Both amazing. And the OJ may well have been fresh squeezed; can't be sure but it tasted like something from Heaven's own orange orchard (seriously). I also liked that they don't bring you a thimble of OJ; it's a big boy glass like you might pour yourself at home. Service was impeccable. Despite the all-too common staffing shortages, and for as busy as they are, the staff is sincerely welcoming, engaging and kind - hard to manage in these days of hectic restaurants and overworked service staff. My only issue, and a very minor one at that, is their basic coffee is just, eh, ok. Of course, they want you to upgrade to their French Press brews (but, thankfully, they don't push it so much as hope) that are $9 or more. I've heard from friends and family the French Press they offer is amazing. However, I can't drink 32 ounces of coffee on my own and my breakfast companion is not a coffee drinker. So I won't spend $9 for a cup and a half of great coffee no matter how tasty. This place is great. You won't be disappointed if you stop. read more

We have been disappointed with the Warrington location lately so we decided to come to Doylestown. My husband ordered the breakfast combo. It was nothing special, especially for the money. I ordered the Big Easy Benedict. So it is supposed to be two poached eggs on cornbread with chorizo sausage, avocado, onions, peppers, and a Creole hollandaise sauce. Sounds goods, right? Well, the flavor was very good, but here's the kicker. The portion size was suspiciously small and there was not one speck of chorizo sausage to be found. I thought OK maybe someone forgot or they ran out, but please inform the patron if you're out of an ingredient. But then I cut into my second poached egg. Well, it was not really an egg, only a little bit of egg white in a little circle masquerading as a second egg. I would hate to think that someone did this intentionally to save money. Extremely disappointed that someone is not quality checking. Additionally, they do not carry tomato juice or scrapple if you're wondering. On a positive note, we very much enjoy their coffee. They have French press, lattes, etc., with seasonal coffee specials. Cowabunga coffee roasters is the coffee shop attached to the business. I came here on a Sunday around 11 for breakfast and left after discovering that the wait was about an hour. My husband and I came again around 8 a.m. on a Saturday and had no problem getting a table. The staff was friendly and prompt. I appreciated the seasonal offerings and healthy choices. My husband enjoyed his French toast, which looked tasty. I had the health freak combo. I've had two bad experiences at the Turning Point in Warrington, so when a friend invited me to breakfast, I hesitated. However, seeing my friend was more important to me, I went. We both were let down. The service was awful, we felt rushed. The food was tasteless. Honestly, you get better tasting food at the diner! We elected to visit the Warrington (PA) restaurant and they absolutely hit it out of the park there. Great food, great service (Kristi was our server - she was tip top and we'll be requesting to sit in her station when we return she had that much of an impact on us) - a really good vibe. I came to the turning point in North Wales about a week ago with my girlfriend, the food was delicious we both got the chicken and waffles. But our waitress was very slow and the coffee cups were dirty and had hair in it. When brought up to the waitress she told us "what do you want me to do about it." Asked for a change of cups and got side eyed. Terrible service. The ambiance was great feels cozy inside. Wasn't too crowded at the time so didn't feel crammed. Nice decorations around the place. The menu is a little different than the Warringron location, or maybe the menu was just revised recently. Loved the addition of salmon and bagel platter, which we ordered. They also have shakshuka (yum) and additional toast aside form just the avocado toast. I had the CrossFit omelette: egg whites, kale, mushrooms and it was absolutely perfect size. I read the previous reviews and thought what are these people smoking. I go to Turning Point in Doylestown for breakfast quite often and have never left there hungry or felt ignored. Service has been fine, food is tasty and I don't leave hungry. (I am a pretty good eater). They do have a lot of young servers and I think that the change overs during the school year makes for newer staff at times. Give them a break. If they are ignoring you ask to speak to the manager and see if there is a reason for any delays. Be nice and enjoy the food. read more
