COVID19 Quarantine Review (Grub Hub Delivery) Today I ordered lunch from The Turning Point through Grub Hub. The online ordering process was easy, the delivery was on time an the food was great. I opted for the Chicken Pesto Panini. This came with a side of chips and salsa. The sandwich was delicious - a ciabatta roll with chicken, a pesto spread, zucchini, roasted red pepper and tons of mozzarella. The food was delivered in a large brown bag with flyers stapled to it - the flyers were kids coloring activities and heating instructions for various menu items. We really enjoyed our brunch at Turning Point in Cherry Hill! We came in after the remodeling they did and felt the cozy and homestyle atmosphere was very enjoyable. I've been a fan of the Turning point chain but was a little disappointed in this branch in particular. Nothing was wrong with the service. Our waiter was kind and always checked in to see if we needed anything else. What knocked off a star the cleanliness. I'm not sure if it was just where we were sitting or it was the whole restaurant but there were about 3-5 fairly large fruit flies that kept flying around us so much that we had to wave them out of the way constantly while sitting and eating. I knocked off another star because of the cook on my eggs. I ordered them over easy. One of my eggs was overcooked where the yolk didn't really run and was more on the fried side. OMG ... let me say it again ... OMG; well you didn't hear me but I did type it out twice. This chain breakfast stop was so perfect in so many ways that I whipped out my cell phone (Alright my cell phone is always out.) to do a 'Google" (Am I allowed to put Google in a YELP review?) search for other locations because this is just one of the most perfect breakfast stops especially for a chain group that I have ever eaten at. The staff is always very nice and pleasant, but some of the food is really just awful. Standard breakfast fare like eggs, bacon, pancakes, waffles, etc. are good. But don't even think about ordering anything remotely ethnic or "fancy" from the menu. My girlfriend ordered a Cuban sandwich. See the picture for what she received. One slice of ham, one slice of turkey?, mushy pickles that were so gross that when I tried it I spit it out, white bread, and the sandwich was not even put into a press, way too much mustard, don't know if I need to go on. We ordered a lobster dish one time and the lobster was obviously freezer burned and mushy texture. This spot has a great thing going for the area. My coworker suggested this place as he takes his family there. I couldn't believe how busy it was on a Thursday at 11. They sat us right down. The waitress came right out and told us about the special and took our drink order. I had the turkey chili with side of eggs, and my coworker ordered and omelette. The kitchen had it right out in no time. Our waitress came back to check on us as well. She was on it. What I also like is on they had a QR code to get info on franchising right there on the paper table mat. Interesting form to advertise. So first of all, the atmosphere in here is so cute! We were off to a little secluded area. There was art on the wall and a stone wall with a fireplace. Made the place so cozy. We loved it. We got there around 1ish and were able to get on a wait list through Yelp. The wait was literally 5-10 minutes. It said it would be longer but it wasn't. Which was great for us. We got a text when our table was ready. Everything was very separated. Which made me feel comfortable. We wore a mask and when we got to the table it came off. Our waitress wore one the whole time. Her name was Elizabeth and she was sooo kind. She was very well mannered and helpful. Also funny. So the only problem we had was that we wanted to order xxl bacon bourbon and were told that the cook got in late today (day after Christmas) and wasn't able to prep is before the start of the day. Therefore they didn't have it. Also my boyfriend said the French toast was a little harder then usual. But taste wise, that French toast was sooooo good. I got the shakushka and it was delicious. It was 3 poached eggs in like diced tomatoes. It was great. I really enjoyed. It was served with a side of sour cream and some amazing bruschetta that was toasted perfectly. I really enjoyed this meal. My boyfriend got the lollipop bacon. It's apple slices (like apple pie filling) wrapped with bacon. It's drizzled with Carmel and brown sugar. The presentation and taste were both phenomenal. He also got the cheesecake French toast which he said was a little harder then he expected. I got to taste it and the cream cheese drizzle that's on top was to die for. Also we got the French press coffee. Which we didn't take pictures of. But it was very good. They didn't have almond milk but they had oat and soy milk. As well as regular Creamer. There was enough for 4 cups In there so that was great. Overall our experience here was pretty good. I would like to start with how clean and cute this place is . Tasteful fall decor and clean , bright design it's a feast for my eyes . Second great touch was the friendly young ladies that greeted me at the door . Very polite , helpful and knowledgeable of the menu and beverages . I just had breakfast at The Turning Point in Cherry Hill on Haddonfield road and it was amazing the food was great, they serve nice size portions for the money the service is stellar they do not rush you to eat, you don't have to wait for your second cup of coffee they bring the entire pot to your table and it stayed hot for the duration of the breakfast. My server was Justin who was very kind, funny and totally polite. The place is nice and clean and the bathroom was spotless and fresh. My new breakfast spot nothing but great vibes here. read more

Solid breakfast. Very clean and excellent service. It's a small storefront in a shopping center. It has complementary Frosted Flakes which was super cute. There is a bar you can sit. We waited about 10 mins to sit at a table. The tables was empty but the host was taking phone orders and trying to sit guest. Our waitress Kameron was phenomenal with beautiful body art (tattoos). All the staff was friendly and very kind. I ordered the peach berry Frenchtoast. I really enjoyed the flavor. The toast was a little toasty lol but for real. I like my French toast soft like pastry. The chicken sausages was fine but the price of $4.30 shocked me. The eggs was fried a little too hard for me. The tropical smoothie was very very good. Jamire got the grain pancakes. There's just something about New Jersey diners that hit the spot. Turning Point Cherry Hill has everything you want from friendly service, appropriate crowdedness for chatter, and a clean interior. We decided to order the Tropical Bliss Smoothie, French Press, Berry Chocolaty Pancakes, Western Omelette, and Grande Huevos Rancheros. The smoothie and french press were standard drinks, but served at the right temperature and appetizing. Our main dishes came with HUGE portions, that we later devoured. For the Berry Chocolaty Pancakes, the chocolate sauce soaked into the moist pancakes, which created a sweet heavenly taste. The Western Omelette took up about half the plate with perfectly browned home fries and freshly cut fruit. Grande Huevos Rancheros was served on top of a whole tortilla with spices and flavors that perfectly complemented each other. Makes me feel like VIP every time I walk in and say "I made reservations on Yelp" and they lead you right in while everyone waiting just gives you that side eye haha! Anyways... menu choices.. so many to choose from! And they've got specials that change with the season... like for those pumpkin lovers, they had all pumpkin everything. Me and my husband split the Pumpkin pancakes and the Wilbur skillet. It was all very good! Definitely hit the spot.. flavors were all good. Was only slightly disappointed that 1 of my eggs was over medium and the other one was runny... as I like mine runny but I guess I didn't really specify! Pancakes were nice and fluffy and the combination of the pumpkin flavor with the cream cheese drizzle icing and the dried raspberry with nuts were a great flavor combination. Food was delicious other than one issue. We all got some fun seasonal pumpkin drinks which were delicious! All of the breakfast food was amazing but, my sister decide to get the Nashville chicken hot sandwich and it wasn't the best the chicken didn't seem to be done but, they took it off the bill and offered to take care of us. We did call ahead seating which I would definitely recommend as this place gets a bit busy but, we got there and only waited about ten minutes which wasn't bad for a Saturday morning! I am extremely disappointed with the Turning Point in Cherry Hill I have been there several times and I honestly may not return at least at this location ever again. I have always had a great experience here with my boyfriend but I believe they tried to kill us with the food. When we first arrived they had told us it will be a 10 minute wait but we only waited about five minutes and we were seated so I thought that we were going to have a great time but they messed up at least 3 to 4 times. Let's start with strike one. Strike 1 - Our table was not as clean as I hoped it would be and it was in a tight space by the window between another table in front of us and then the cleaning station was right behind us so I could barely fit in my seat. every five seconds a waiter will sneak up behind me to do whatever they were doing at that station which was very bothersome. It looked as though they just did a quick wipe for the next party to arrive and didn't even bother to clean the floors under the table. That is a pet peeve for me. Strike 2 - when our food arrived I had the Basic skillet which was OK it wasn't the best and also it looks like whoever was in the kitchen does not wash their utensils before using it in another meal because I saw spots of avocado in my egg which you can see in the picture if you were to zoom in. Even the white dish itself does not look the cleanest. I still wanted to attempt to try the meal but I couldn't even finish it especially after what my boyfriend found in his plate... my boyfriend had a Key West shrimp omelette with a side of hash which is what he usually gets without any problems however as he was eating he tasted a hard crunch when he was eating his omelette and then he felt something hard. when he tried to eat some more come to find out there was a piece of metal or plastic in his hashbrowns. we had to Inform the manager and she took his plate back and stated that they will make him a new dish and we said OK. We were totally disgusted especially because God for bid my boyfriend were to actually eat that and choke on it it would've been a whole nother story. at this point I didn't even want to finish my breakfast especially because it wasn't that good anyway so I told our waiter to take the plate back as well and we just decided to eat his cinnamon roll pancakes which was pretty good and usually what my boyfriend also usually gets. Strike 3 - so after a while we were still waiting on my boyfriends "revamped" dish and halfway through eating his pancakes we noticed a long green and black skinny piece of string as he cut another piece of pancake. we couldn't tell what it was but it looked disgusting at first we thought it was apart of the cinnamon in the pancake but then we realize it wasn't! my boyfriend grabbed the skinny piece of string and pulled a Long piece of string like object. it looked like a piece of stem from a vegetable or something at this point I was furious and I wanted to flip the table because not only was the food not that great but also my boyfriend could've died the first time he found something in his food! We called our waiter over the table and asked if she could make out what was on the plate and she said it could possibly be a part of the cinnamon but then she looked closely and said she doesn't know so she took the plate to the back and the manager came back and apologized for the recent events that took place. She stated that she will take care of the bill. What I will say is that the day that we went could have been just a bad day for the people in the kitchen because as I have stated before, usually they are pretty good when it comes to their food but because of the experience that we have had, we will not be returning to this location because we are darn near traumatized and it seems as though they cross contaminate a lot in the kitchen. Sherri, the manager, handled the situation very well and she gave us a coupon to have two free entrées but I don't know if I would ever use it. read more

Really nice brunch place. Apparently there are a few of these restaurants all about, I had no idea. It was super busy on the weekend. We had to wait a bit for a table, but it wasn't bad, and turned out to be well worth it. For as busy as it was, the food arrived quickly and was very tasty. I got the Southern Chicken, which is fried chicken tenders, with chopped up bacon on a delicious waffle with a honey sriracha drizzle. Put a little maple syrup on that and you've got perfection. Everything tasted wonderful and was so filling. The drinks are really tasty too. I had a salted caramel mocha-chino. It was caramel, espresso, sea salt, chocolate milk and whipped cream. Basically a ridiculously delicious combo. The place was really nice and there is one closer to us, so we will be definitely trying that location too. read more

I ordered the classic eggs benedict with lemonade. To be honest, I really didn't like it. The hollandaise sauce tasted sour to me and it wasn't something I'd order again. Fiancé ordered the smoked salmon benedict and he thought it was ok. They must have used the same hollandaise sauce cause he didn't like it either. I caught up with a friend here over the weekend and I am always so impressed and happy with every part of my meal every time I come. This one of the few places in Cherry Hill that has a decent brunch/breakfast. We got there around 9:30 am ish, right before the brunch rush on a Sunday. The waitress was extremely friendly and very attentive to our dietary restrictions. We got the fresh press- Hawaiian Kona blend. The coffee was perfect and did not taste burnt or watered down. They also served the cutest sugar rock sticks with the coffee! We also got the kale fresh pressed juice and it was a little too sour and bitter for our taste. It was not as refreshing as we hope it would be. We also got two egg dishes off the seasonal fall menu. One was a Cajun style skillet which was seasoned well. I've been here a few times and won't ever return. The service is always good but I've been served ROTTEN food on multiple occasions. Once I was served rotten cilantro and asked for fresh and they brought me out a side of the same rotten cilantro. Even the waitress said she saw it was bad but still brought it out. I went today with my mom and my side of fruit was full of fruit that was already mushy and bad. My side of greens were also spoiled. There were pieces that were brown and even slimy black pieces in it. Why not just take things off the menu when they go bad? I'd rather be told they are out of something than be served rotten food. Outdoor seating is available and on a sunny day you could really get the best deal for your meal. There are also 'nutrition and delicious' options for the health conscious type, like the 'Mediterranean Vegetarian Wrap' and plenty of salads. I went with the Create a Combo for 10.25. I ordered a small cup of tomato bisque soup and a unique version of the monte crisco. French toast held together the turkey breast, swiss cheese, and ham in between. On the side was a strawberry reduction dipping sauce. Along with my sandwich was an array of random fresh fruit. The plate was pretty tasty and I wasn't bored with the combo since I'm a variety-seeker. I would have opted for a sweet maple syrup rather than the strawberry dip. First time here. Found this place last minute on Yelp. I joined their waitlist online which gave me an estimate of 30-45 minutes. The restaurant is very cute, there is a bar area along with tables and booths. When I arrived I went to check in and the hostess confirmed I was on the waitlist and that it would be 45 minutes for my table to be ready. I went to sit in my car while I waited for my table to be ready. About 25 minutes past and I received a text message stating my table was ready. Our server Chelsea was very sweet and attentive, after our food came out we forgot we ordered sausages. When she came to check on us, she actually reminded us and went to check the kitchen on our sausages. I had the big hibiscus tea and lobster Benedict which was amaaazing. The food came out in a reasonable time after being ordered and the service was impeccable. Will definitely be recommending this place to others! read more
